  3. I just put an Echo TR on the back of mine and it works great, so much more bite and better hold than the disc.

    New Brakes

Just ordered an Avid BB5 with SD7 lever and an Echo TR single brake today. Should be here tomorrow Was wondering how the Echo TR pads will perform on my stock Onza Pro rim, how long they will take to bed in and if they will be noisy or not?

Okay guys well cheers for the help, i think i'm buying the ZOO pads off a member on here though, they seem really good and they're gonna' be cheap for me also.
  7. Well it's a few models up from the rip, and i don't think the Blade is worth the extra money. But the comp is quite alot better than the Pro, only downside to that is you have to pay an extra £200 or so
  8. Yeah alright then mate, if i can get a lift down there then i'll definately come out:), I ride bmx's too

  9. Hey there man, It took me a few weeks before i noticed any real improvements. I had the trackstand dialed in the first two weeks and began learning backhops in the third week. Couple of months after i got my bike and i could balance on the back wheel pretty well, do quite a few kickhops and get up small walls. Now, after riding for about a year (on and off though), i can straight to back, up to front, front to back and gap pretty well. I would say though, that it takes a good few years to get to a good standard of riding, and also to perfect your technique. Everyone rides with a slightly different style, some guys standing out more than others, and you just need to find that style and work on making it better.

I use to have a mono trial on my old bike, sold it with the brake still on thoughh. Definately would like another, they just don't pop up that often, especially not for only £60 Yeah i've ridden my mates ice a few times and he's running Heatsinks, they work great, but he has a pretty sharp grind so.
  11. Ah nice one dude, i'm still pretty beginnerish in riding skill to be honest, i've been on and off riding for a year and a bit but i haven't really picked up much:/, ah sweet i go through Emsworth quite regularly. I'm riding an Onza Pro 2010 at the moment, we should meet up sometime for a ride? Maybe when the weather improves a bit

    New Brakes

Okie dokie, thankyou And if anyone else can answer this, how are Echo TR pads on smooth rims? I heard they work great, but if there are better pads for an ungrinded rim out there thenn?
  15. Yes i do mate. Why, do you?

    New Brakes

Thanks mate, seems like a very good choice and at now too much of a price:) Yeah i was thinking of getting some Echo TR pads (these would fit the HS33 yeah?), and ahh cool, so am i right in thinking that i would only need to buy: http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/hydraulic_rim_brakes/magura_hs33_black_with_olive_no_brake_clamps/c72p10796.html and http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/brake_clamps/magura_hs33_4bolt_brake_clamps/c74p26.html to have a full working brake? Thankss,

    New Brakes

Well my two disc brakes on my Onza pro are kinda lacking in power a little bit, so i'm gonna' invest in a new set. A new disc for the front (cable i think), and a hyrdo rim brake for the rear. I was just wondering, which would be the best cable disc i could get for under £70, and the best rear hyrdo i can get for under £100? And also, will these brakes you recommend me fit on a 2010 Onza pro without needing to buy anything elsee, and with the Magura, will i need an HS11 with Evo 2 adapters, or will an HS33 fit? Cheers, James
  18. You know you don't 'have' to grind your rim to run a maggy. Infact, there are a few pads then work better on smooth rims imo.
  19. I found that extremely interesting
  20. I only thought that about the first image though, second and third look great!
  21. Dude seriously, just listen to the people on here. It's not thaaattt much more cash to fork out, and it'll save you money in the long term when your Tensile explodes and you have to replace that, and also your front teeth. Get an SL, or failing that, a TR.
  22. I've tried out a set of Monty, and a set of Trialtech riser bars. Both were brilliant
  23. You're telling me thats not a picture ....?
  24. The Zona Zip is EXTREMELY long. If i were you, i would fork out an extra bit of cash and go for the Onza Bird. It's better than the Rip because of the front disc instead of vee, and a 19" rear wheel.
