  1. thanks ali, and everyone else. Hopefully there will soon be a vid, or at least some cool riding pics.
  2. lol i thought they might be.
  3. Thanks to Tartys' great service, i received my bike overnight from GB to the USA. Another fourplay in the US : ). Spec should be fairly obvious. On a side note this was my first build, and i wasnt sure how to install the tensioner, so when i bring the bike downstairs to fill up the tires, i try riding back up except the tensioner pops off (it was only held in by the axel not the other screw thing) i get a seat up my ass. All fixed now, hope i brightened your day. URL=http://img41.imageshack.us/i/img5815m.jpg/] Very sexy.

    Security

Well I was recently practicing on some nice rocks (sculpture) around 12 at night, however there were several signs that said you must get off and walk your bike (the rocks were right next to a bike path). So the parks security people come over to me and my dad (no one in NY rides trials), and starts harassing me about riding my bike on the rocks. However i was doing no damage to them, if anything my wheels were wiping the dust off not to mention its 12 PM at night and no one is around. So they leave us alone and we decide to make our way out, which was about 200 feet or so to the exit. Along the way im practicing my trackstands going no faster than .5 miles an hour (im still a beginner) And the same parks people pull around again and the guys starts harassing me again EVEN THOUGH we were infront of the sign that says dismount your bike and I was trackstanding. The officer, not even a cop but like a parks keeper threatens to give me a summons even though im clearly not violating any of the rules. I was infront of the sign that says dismount your bike and i was only trackstanding. After this event i realized security is an actual problem for me, as there are few good riding spots in manhattan, the one i was kicked out from was my favorite. I was wondering if anyone here had any advice on how to deal with security, or if there are any legal loopholes or ways that i can get out of being brought in, in the event that something like this happens again. This one incident pissed me the f*ck off and i just wanted advice from others who may have been in a similar position.
  11. looks beast, very nice bike.
  12. Hi everyone, ive just been wondering if there were any videos or pictures of people riding trials on non-trial/mountain bikes. I remember seeing a picture of someone on like a retro cruiser but is there a video or something like that? I've grown a little tired of the sidehopping vids.
  13. The green one looks hideous, makes me happy i got my fourplay

Really enjoyed that video, he had some huge sidehops, and i loved the part where he bent his rim.
  15. if you have the guys address just pay him a visit if the frame doesnt show up. Bring a few of your mates if you want
  16. At first it looked like a mini fourplay. Nice riding : )
  17. alright thanks for the advice guys, ill go check out that forum now. Dan S i added you, if you or your friend are going to ride trials in NY let me know.
  18. As the world of trials seems to be dominated by the UK with little recognition in the U.S. I would like to somewhat get together a decent list of the the riders in the U.S. to find partners/competitions/clubs, ect. Right now the only two sites that i can seem to find are this one, and http://biketrials.com/ which isnt really a help at all. We could organize a list of U.S. suppliers, deals, riders, locations, events, or anything trials related in the USA. I know that since there are so few riders, the chances of two living in the same city or even state is very unlikely but I think its worth a shot. If you are from the US, or know of anything trials related that resides there please leave what you know. I would also ask that you list your state and specific city/town/area , your bike, and whether you got it from a US supplier or not. New York, New York, I ride an inspired fourplay which I got from the UK vendor, tartybikes. (I hope you UK mates dont mind the intrusion, but it would be great if trials spread to the US also. I know it may seem a bit much to ask but could you possibly sticky this so other riders could find it easily?)
  19. I have to see one of those nose wheelies on that old bike.
  20. in my opinion, skate shoes work the best. I picked up a pair of grippy manchester selects and i havent had an trouble slipping.
  21. Hi all, I just ordered my fourplay from tarty and I saw i was getting bb5's for the front brake, however after spending a little time on here everyone seems to say the bb7 is a great brake. I dont expect to be doing like 10 foot drops ect. But is it worth it to upgrade to a bb7? The tarty site doesnt give much information differing the two, and i'm relatively new so i dont exactly need top of the line brakes.
  22. BU iD iD H i ST from the USA, when my xbox is actually working i like to play cod 4, sometimes 5, gears 2 and halo 3. Talking about trails woulndt hurt either since no one is the US rides trials : /
