  1. not to sure there for me.... ive seen pictures of them snapped clean in half... i dont think they would take my weight. i think ill try the eno
  2. my mate got some rock greens the other week, and there meant for smooth rims. i was suprised how well they held compared to my koxx browns on my grind. they were a bit squeely though. im sure its worn off by now though. but they'd be my choice if i had smooth rims for sure!
  3. i started with endos then endos into backhops..... also track standing helps with basic balance.........up to you really, everyones different!!!
  4. looks like my bank was wrong..strange.well they definetly have the money..... just got to wait for them to come i suppose!!!!hopefully this week sometime...
  5. ive got mixed views on the tensile, alot of people say its brill, and alot say it breaks easy...im 6foot 3 and nearly 18 stone so i need the strongest really....
  6. hello people, listen a friend of mine has dropped me an eno freewheel, however inside the threads is a brass thread saver so i cant use it yet. ive tried hacksaws screwdrivers , heating it up etc etc , but it aint coming out. he said we should call it £30 if i have to replace anything. there is also no blue seal covering the rachets and pawls. so the new body from tartybikes which has the new threads on it is £32 and the seal is £5 . the rest of the freewheel is ok condition . so it will cost me £67 to get me running again . a new eno would be £84. what would you guys do? new or fix it? or is it worth £30 in the conditon its in? cheers p.s. ogre if you read this , NO OFFENCE LOL............. im just skint at the minute..!!
  7. yeah i understand he has a family to run, alot of people do, including me, but i had no reply from the first email i sent him on thursday or friday asking wether they had been dispatched, so i dont wanna bombard him with more........ ill just wait to see what this credit in my bank is first to make sure and if it is a refund ill email him why? and then probably order some rockpads or phatpads.......
  8. uuuuuuuuummmmmmmm..... not to sure if im getting any pads now.... according to my bank ive had £25 go back in . but as its new it does not show from who as yet. and the only thing ive bought for £25 recently are the heatsink yellows. this is gay.............
  9. yippy ..............!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! got the freewheel off in the end . took 5 blokes though lol......3 holding the wheel and 2 on the torque wrench. now i just got to find me an eno and ill be back on the road!!!!
  10. sounds cool, im always curious when i use a new website for things.... no rush now though as my bikes in pieces until i can buy a new eno freewheel
  11. hi , i put an order in on wednesday for some heatsink yellows from the heatsinkbikes website.was wondering who else here has ordered pads from them and how quick they came? i was hoping to have them before saturday to ride, although my freewheel broke so i couldnt anyway. so far ive not recieved the pads and no reply from the email i sent them either. cheers
  12. yeah its a tryall freewheel, so its got a welded seal so it could be an angle grinder jobby....... not only that , on my other thread i mentioned i was picking up an eno today ... and i cant get the thread saver out of that lol.... im not too happy today!
  13. its on the wheel..... we tried 2 vices but no luck... and im a big lad lol. could not budge it. already sprayed it with wd40 too.
  14. im picking up my eno later today but the old tryall freewheel thats on the wheel will not come off. ive taken it to 2 bike shops and they tried with spanners and vices but failed , so i popped into a couple of motorbike shops on the way home, one tried some giant drill with a socket on the end, no luck... and the other tried a 3 foot torque wrench, for which the torque wrench bent lol there has to be some way i can get it off ... anyone? please lol
  15. thanks to my mate ogre, i will be meeting him tomorrow to get an eno freewheel off him. however he tells me that there is a brass thread saver still stuck in the freewheel. ive never seen one of these and im guessing its screwed into the freewheel. somehow i got to get it out and ogre reckons a hacksaw and a bit of TLC will get it off. has anyone here had one of these or know exactly what im up against? until i see it tomorrow im not sure myself ....would like a bit of advice to get a headstart... cheers
  16. man that simpsons crash really looked like it hurt lol, i nearly pissed myself laughing!!!!
  17. cant see any spares for it on tartys.... you sure you have the tryall? im gonna take mine off in the morning just to check it but ive not heard that its repairable though... just read your last post ,,, no worries dude
  18. its been a couple of weeks since i got a secondhand bike and started getting back into trials. ive been out about 7 or 8 times and just on my way home when my freewheel slipped and lost all drive. all my mates have used this freewheel for a long time with no problems and mine did not last much more than a weeks worth of riding. anyone advise a much stronger freewheel? or can my tryall 108.9 be fixed?
  19. are the heatsink yellows and whites the same pad? just different colour? cheers
  20. thought i'd let people know how this problem went on....... basically i went and bought a kmc kool chain a standard size and tried that before buying anything else. unfortunately the problem still persisted. the idea of not enough chain wrap around the freewheel was next on my list . my friend gave me an old shimano duralliere and wella! it worked. so i decided to buy a double chain tensioner. it came yesterday , its the tensile one with the gold jockey wheels...... now however , although its setup perfect it seems to make abit of racket when i pedal. bit like gears when their not lined up correct. i cant work out whats up with it.... its lined up perfect, its the long arm version which is what i needed, the hanger on the frame is stright, the chain is not rubbing on the inner cage the chain passes through, and the top jockey wheel does not touch the teeth on the freewheel. why does it sound like this? god knows!!! any help much appreciated.....
  21. hi , im intersted in some phat pads, im a pre member so cant private message you, how can i go about getting a pair? thanks karl...

  22. cheers for the replys guys, im looking into all these pads now , i suppose its trial and error really , i want to start with the phatpads, could someone please send a link to a dealer as i cant seem to find one, thanks......
  23. do you have a link to either of these pads, cant see them on tarty bikes , dont know any other trials sites.....cheers
  24. cool, good to know, ... they sound ok... there are so many different pads out nowadays.... when i rode a few years ago there was just the 3 magura pads.. now theres dozens of them. i have koxx browns on the back at the min, there ok with my grind but my friends rock pads (green) are even more powerful. i might just give the echo pads a go and see how they do..
