my front vee is fantastic. i am running callipers - shimano xtr pads - cnc cousts cables - jagwire lever - avid sd5 but for the money the avid sd7 is awesome

Right basically i managed to get hold of this rockman isis frame from cocky with the hope of getting it welded up and having a few months fun out of it. I have phoned round a few engineering shops and they are not too keen to take on the job for liability reasons. What i want to do is fill in the cnc cut outs and have a plate welded front and rear I suppose what i am asking is will it be strong enough. and does anyone on here weld or know someone that would do a good job at it. preferably in the north yorkshire area but could post to a welder

The only orange/yellow pads i know of that have official magura backings are the monty pads., they're not bad if set up correctly with a light grind. But there are alot better pads out there for the money. such as heatsink yellows. Of topic a bit, but BORAT stop being a tit and leave the lad alone. yeah that will work or you can buy bikehut mineral oil from halfords it all does the same job, or bleed with water then before you travel just empty the system all together

get a tape measure, and measure it mate its the best way to find out

good little video mate, good to see someone just riding and having fun, although your original post was about maguras but you are using vees

i think the problem will be that when the shop bled your brake they used oil. Because you had a water bleed before some water will still be in the system, the oil and water will seperate and cause a very poor lever feel, give the whole system a good flush out to make sure all of the oil is gone. and give it a good old bleed. You will know when all the oil is gone as you wont see any little black beads (oil) in the vent tube when you bleed.

he doesnt actually have the bike yet, he is asking for advice on parts for his new build, using existing parts from his old bike and some new ones. thats a pretty good spec to start with mate, just upgrade other parts as and when you have the money
