  8. not sure on the chhepest way but as long as the item has to be signed for and insured it will be fine. where are you sending it too?
  9. Question the first. My tensile 96 click developed alot of side to side play, so I checked the lock ring and it was nice and tight, I then took the freewheel apart and noticed there are a few shims inside, so what I have done is removed one of these to allow the lockring to tighten further and now there is less play in it. Basically what im asking, is it ok to remove one of these shims or am i about to have a trip to the dentist. Second question I am thinking of building my new front wheel with radial lacing, the hub i will be using is a non disc echo tr. I have heard that radial lacing is a bad idea but never been able to understand why. So the question is, will it be ok to radially lace my front wheel. Thanks in advance for the advise.
  10. someone correct me if i am wrong but i believe the echo tr has open bearings, i would go for something with sealed bearings.
  11. yes please lol, im not wanting to get in any arguments either mate, and i understand yous were only having a laugh, but 12 yr old lads might take it to heart and put them off comeing on here, and this is a sport with few enough followers, lets try to keep the numbers up.
  12. as above: this thread started to get on track with some good comments about the video. The 2 lads that were arguing are both 12 years old and dont know any better, they both seem to have forgotten about it, so why cant everyone else. get a grip
  13. fluid will come out mate but just have a cloth to hand, i would remove the hose at the slave cylinder end and once you have the hose of give your lever a couple of pumps to get all the fluid out before pulling it through your frame
  14. i had the sticky piston problem the other day mate, take out the piston clean, lubricate and reasemble. if that doesn't work, take out the piston and sand a tiny bit of it, refit and try again. Keep doing this only sanding a very tiny amount of the piston each time until it works. As for lub i have always used gt85
  15. The easiest thing to do would be for everyone involved in this bullsh*t to just stop commenting on this no mateer what one person says about the other. I'm sick of people bitching at eachother, what a nice thing for new forum members to read, i'm sure they will feel welcome when they see shit like this going on. To the guy in the video, well done kid and keep riding, Comments on the video only from now on please
  16. Done a bit of research and a few people are talking about a swollen piston, so i took it out sanded it down, stretched the spring a little, popped it back in, gave it a bleed and it seems to be working fine again, but only time will tell thanks to everyone for your help.
  17. the seals and every thing look fine might try sanding a littke bit off the piston to see if that works, i hope i dont need a new piston
  18. Need a quick fix here. Basically my problem is that the piston within the lever body is stuck, when i pull the lever it doesnt return to its normall position. I have taken out the piston and spring, gave them both a clean and some lube but the problem remains. Any help would be most appreciated

Take it apart have a look, as said above take it apart and give it a good clean it could just be minging inside.
  22. get a new one mate the money you would spend on repairing it a few extra quid would get you a new one
