Thanks Yeah, wanted to go raw in the end but it had loads of little marks from building I suppose, so went for silver/grey instead. Did think about others but had an orange echo headset so silver went best, almost like the echo full builds...

Thanks, love my V. No hassle but feels great, with my pads its just crazy

BUMP. Update 14/11
-
Straight from Vital mtb: "This young trials ripper takes a lot of style and influence from Danny MEGAskill in his 2012 season edit and I already can’t wait to see what is coming from him in 2013. I just wanted to make a video for the end of the season 2012 and so i decided to go out and film some lines. And this is result of my work. Not all i wanted to do but finally i´m really pleased with it and i hope you will enjoy it "

Hi, After not getting on as well as I had hoped with my Hope (no pun intended), I was thinking about going back to cable but spend a little more than my old Onza one. On ChainReaction at the moment the 2012 BB7 is £44.99 for a front 180mm and the 2013 is £53.99. Is the 2013 any better than the previous model/anything to watch out for. Plus (pretty sure I know the answer) but is the BB7 worth an extra 20 odd pound over the BB5? Thanks,

The skatepark has been re done. Now all concrete instead of metal. Haven't tested it yet, but had a look at it. Looks pretty interesting but i'd imagine only for streety style riders. Edit: just saw '2012', you've probably seen it then...

(Update further down) Not sure if it's already been posted but noticed lots/all inspired riders on what appears to be cromo frames with bmx style forks i.e dropouts at the front. Also Mark W was being vague as to what his new bike was. Here's Sean Watson's: (From Bring Back x-ups) Ali C's: (GETaway) Mark W's (from Cleanzine.blogspot.uk) Any more info/ideas/theories
-
Hi, Mark was it a resistant cycles frame you were riding at the Portsmouth DJ ride? Whatever it was your new bike looks 'clean' (Sorry ) but seriously a very nice bike.
-
Afraid not... Not on here either http://www.becausebike.com/product_show.asp?keyno=793 Sorry
-
Not off the top of my head sorry... Although I did get this off the Because website. 2012 Because Simple Street (Mines the 2011 I believe) Weight: 1780g Head angle 73º head length 115MM Wheelbase 1040MM BB£ 20MM Chain stays 378MM Not 100% sure if this is the same geo as mine, but honestly it rides so nice. Learnt a lot on it Plus the horizontal dropouts are sweet. Nice tight chain, no hanger to snap

wow, quite a mix of opinions Not actually going to paint it. A lack of effort+lack of money= Not going to happen Still was a good experiment. Still liking the Brown, but kinda edging towards the blue... I know... I just quickly used any font, was more focused on colours.
-
Yeah, sort of Same with the Blue. I knew they looked good and tried to match them. The colours in the end were almost by accident

(Not entirely sure this is the right place, but they are bike pictures so ) Hi, Due to very pants weather all morning, I decided to see what my bike would look like with new paint and stickers. My favourite is the copper/brown colour. Sadly the luminous green didn't work so well... The original My favourite. Though if I actually did paint, i'd probably go matt brown/autumn orange Not so good Thanks, any comments/tips very welcome
-
Why didn't I check this earlier... Oh well...I just really wanted that Lego Chewbacca and Darth Vader keyrings for free. Sad times
-
Well, mine was old and second hand. Its fixable, I just can't be bothered really... It was gunged up when I took it apart and I think a seal somewhere has gone. Newer ones are probably fine

Its a standard Onza mechanical disc with Shimano Deore lever and Wilko special brake cable (on a 180mm wavy disc off the Effect) I personally think its a great brake, lots of bite and progression. Love the ease of maintenance, especially after the number of issues I've had with a Magura Louise.

Here's my updated because 24. Its been this way for a while but thought i'd use my new camera to take some pictures. Spec: Frame: Because Simple Street 24 Forks: Echo Urban 2012 Stem: BBB 90x? Handlebars: Trialtech High risers Spacers: quite a few, some Hope Cranks: Truvativ Husslefelt 22t Seat/post: Shadow pivotal, alienation post F. Wheel: SunRingle hub on Single track R. Wheel: Hope Pro II on Sunringle Rynho Lite xl (Anything wider would not have fitted in my Effect Neon V brake adaptor and snail cams (ran them upside down as they poked downwards and I feared hitting them) Trialtech 14t rear sprocket Maxxis Holy Roller 2.4 Hope Mono trials Tarty edition+carbon lever Rock Shox Turncoat for my front cable http://www.chainreac...x?ModelID=54649 Oh, and it's now silver/grey... From this.... To this..... My Rockshox Turncoat, useful as I could could not fit a hollow star nut and could not be bothered to bodge like before:

Radfest ..not Sure Where To Put This
SumoSam replied to alistair14's topic in Member Organised Rides
Hi thanks, but I won't be getting into the train station until at least 12.15 (3+ hour train journey) Don't worry about it if it puts you out. I've planned the cycle route, I'll just take my 24" with the seat up Scrap that time anyway, wont be arriving at Ingatestone train station until at least 2.30 Thanks for the offer, but i'm going for the weekend, so i'll be arriving (hopefully) on friday Not going at all now anyway. Personal/family stuff has come up. Thanks anyway -
Radfest ..not Sure Where To Put This
SumoSam replied to alistair14's topic in Member Organised Rides
Hi, Would really appreciate a lift from one of the local train stations near Radfest itself. Coming on the train from the South, but just need to travel the next bit. Its about a four mile cycle from Ingatestone train station(the nearest that i can see on a map) otherwise. I have a 20" and I'm more than happy to pay for petrol. Sam -
Hi, Coming from the south on the train, around the Chichester area, with a 20" but would really appreciate a lift. Or failing that a lift from one of the local stations near Radfest itself. (its a good 4 mile walk from the nearest station as far as i can see). More than happy to pay petrol money Any help would be much appreciated Sam Not going at all now anyway. Personal/family stuff has come up. Thanks anyway

Still thinking of selling the Echo 24" frame? If so, how much were you thinking?
-
Hi, I've owned an Ashton/DB effect since they first came out. I personally really like it, but only after changing some parts. The standard bars are about 25-26" wide and the steerer tube is short so i bought a riser stem. Also the gearing is 22-13, so pretty hard. I went to a 14t and prefer it. So after changing bars, stem and rear sprocket, i love it. Sam

Hi i'm Sam, i'm 17 and have been riding trials for about 2-3 years. I ride an Ashton/DB effect and Onza blade '09. I mainly ride on the rocks/prom in Bognor Regis or on my newly build box in the garden. I'll be in MBUK issue 257 in the trials section Thanks, Sam
