In the begining everything was good. There were no volcanoes, earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes etc. It was only untill man sinned that these things started to happen, all natural disasters, diseases etc are all punishment for our sin. God didnt originaly design it with the intent of these things.

Westerners didint come up with God no, but some tribe of 50 people that no God proves that its not made up because these are tribes that have only been known of in the last few years, and they have had no contact with anyone other than those in the tribe and small neighboring tribes. You appear to have not read where I said that Christianity is not spread over the media like evoltuion is. Go ask people in a church or in a slum in Fiji as I did, you will find God is working majorly in peoples lives. God has never made a mistake, nor did Jesus, all mistakes are man made. Im guessing you said that because it says "God made man in His own image"? God also gave people the choice to do what they want, and man decided to sin. Im very sorry to here of your loss. All of the major discoveries in history were made by Christians, back in the 1800's and what not, everyone was Christian and believed. Everything up untill the last 100 years was discovered by a Christian, only now Christianity is been pushed under the rug. Random fact of the day:Tribes in Africa that have never seen a white man ever, have a God that is so similar to the God of Chrstians. So how can it be a made up religion if tribes that have never seen westerners believe in God?

But then again, this could be metaphorical, it could be saying that if you go against God then you will be pnished for it. Punishment and forgiveness are two different things. OK, the main thing about evolution that I have trouble getting to grips with is the time that it says (e.g 20 million years). Because to me that is just crazy long. And when you see pictures of skelletons of monkey men, to me it looks like a monkey that died partly standing up straight not a partly evolved human. Through my posts it seems like I am simple minded or narrow minded, however I actualy do think that certain parts of evolution have some facts. And yes, the start of the bible does seem a bit far fetched and that it doesnt seem possible and as bikeperson45 said, it could be metaphorical. Like I dont think that in the begining God created only one man and one woman because that is incest and that is against Christianity, I would say that it is refering to men and woman in general (e.g He made lots of them). John MacKay does believe in evolution to some extent, like he said that there are some Platypus that have teeth and others that dont. He says that this is because of adapting to the surroundings, because the ones with no teeth live in areas where they dont need to chew things. However, they still have a similar mouth and there are areas where the teeth would of grown and that when they are still a fetus in the egg the brain has told the body that it doesnt need teeth and it doesnt grow them. I believe that things like that do happen which is like evolution somewhat, but I still believe that God created everything and he has the power to destroy everything. And if anyone asks "If God loves us, how come bad stuff happens to the world?" Well this can be answered through the bible (Yes I know... The book), the bible says "In the begining, everything was good" and everything was, but after they went against God and ate the fruit (I dont think it means literal fruit, but sin in general), God punished them and said that they had to fight for survival and what not. And after this God allowed massive winds and storms. And in the begining everything was vegetarian, and once they started to eat meat is where diseases started (e.g pigs eat dead carcasses that have bugs from the ground in them, and people got sick from eating the bugs in the pig when they ate it) this can also explain why when you eat bad foods you get ulsurs in your mouth because our bodies were not originaly designed for that. Faith is not about blindly believing, it is about allways believing but also believing in the signs that God gives you as being signs from God. God does not spread his face all over the media like evolution does because He gives everyone the choice to do what is right. If you believe in God and go out of your way to do things for God, yes you will see him. When I was around 13ish I never thought of God that much and never saw anything from Him, but now that I am devoted to Him I have seen so much from Him which just increases my faith in him. I am not cloesed off from everything else, I just suck at wording things and it makes me seem that way. My Dad is the mens group leader at church and Mum has lost her way with Christianity, So I do have a Christian background, but Dad has always said that we have the choice in what we believe, like when I said before that I wasnt much of a Christian, Dad never forced me to be one or go to church, I go to church every Sunday because through what I have seen. Christianity is not all I haveever known, I admit that I dont know a hell of a lot about evolution, but I want to know more to compare to what I do believe. The majority of people that havent seen, havent seen due to lack of faith. You say that you've never seen it and you dont believe, I have seen it and I believe. See how that works? You have mixed bible dates with evolution dates there mate, christianity says the world is 6000 years old and evolution says dinosaurs were around millions of years ago. Whos to say that they were originaly called dinosaurs? They could of been called lizards or reptiles. And as for how they die, foot prints of dinosaurs and people have been found running in the same direction, so I think that the way they died is Noahs flood. No doubt you will disagree, but hey what do I care?

Yeah I cant see it. Watch some stuff from John MacKay, he is a fully qualified scientist who says creation is possible through science. If you can give me a link to some where I will gladly read it and tell you what I think of it, but so far from all the programs I have seen, and things Ive read, it makes no sence. Im open to your suggestions, but I can see any proof of evolution being real. Put it this way, you would believe something if you saw it first hand wouldnt you? I have seen Gods work first hand, but I have never seen Evolution at work. have you seen the work of Evolution first hand? No, because it takes Millions of years for it to happen.

Your one of the better ones toward Christians, but others just swear and call me nuts and what not, and at one point in that other thread about this the pulled out a picture of an upside down cross, which is stupid because they said that Christainity was false and then brought out something against me that was part of Christianity being true. Natural selection states that the largest and strongest animals live. So there are lizzards with no wings and some that have wings, so when the winged lizard was in the process of evolving to have wings, it couldnt fly and was no good at running because of its half formed wings, why did it survive natural selection? I know that evolution just happend over night, I have knowledge on the topic. Evolution has not proved anything, and dont use the whole carbon dating thing, because that doesnt even work, all it does is tell you if something is older than something else, it doesnt give an actual date at all. A rock that is supposedly 3.4million years old can only be 100 years old, the age that people get from carbon dating is just a guess. You cant say that the eye is no good, through gene mutation an eye that can draw light in and then interprate what it is seeing is rubbish, the eye is too complex and sensitive for that, and if evolution is real, millions of years ago animals had eyes, so why did they not evolve over that time? and why has not a dogs eye evolved over millions of years to have colour? And lastly, we all came from single cell organsims (Way back in the begining) that divided to make a complete replica. At what stage did we need to have male and female to reproduce, that is more of a set back than an advantage, would it not be better if humans could divide to reproduce? instead of 9 months of carring the baby and then years of bringing it up. Have you ever noticed that Athiests and Evolutionist are agressive and abusive against Christians? Of topic I know but its something I have noticed. Seems they are real defensive and dont like people chalanging them.

I know people havent posted in here in a while. But from reading what people have said against Christianity, they obviously havent read a thing about it. Saying there is no evidence at all is uttter rubbish, there is proof through out the world of what God has done and continued to do. And the bible is not just random stories, read them and you will find that they can be linked to modern situations. Cats and dogs cannot interbreed according to evolution right? So what about a zebra and a horse? or a black bird and a thrush? they are so similar to each other yet they dont reproduce with each other. Face it, evolution is all about random happenings that dont add up. And as people have said about eyes, how can a random act produce an eye that does so much? or produces a brain that can tell a whole body how to work and has a nervous system and sensors for touch, sight, smell and taste. Go ahead and call me names or what ever, but I know it and you know it EVOLUTION IS UTTER BOLLOCKS. People who dont want to follow a religion are either too uneducated on the topic, are stubborn or are afraid to commit to it because they think that they wont be able to have fun.

Trials isnt an olympic sport, so I highly doubt it will ever get in. People in NZ want to get rugby in the olympics but that will never happen (I hope).
