  1. Great comments guys! Keep it coming =) this thread gonna be real useful for future riders who are considering between the 24" and 26" I think the 26" kinda lack of a good representative to compare with the 24", which have widely ridden inspired and 24uk. Most 26" street trials are either customize or they are really old school frames which are more trials than street. One concern i guess will be the inspired or other 24" be suitable for tall riders? or is it dependent on the top tube lenght + stem combo 's reach? well i stand at 6foot and my friend is at 6foot2. We are not big build but we dont wan to look oversized on a street bike. anyway luke love your gallery of 24"
  2. when buying 2nd hand looking out for cracks and dents on the frame is the most important. Also check if all other parts are working. Both 24 and 26 are both avaliable buying 2nd hand (or 3rd, 4th and so on) just check out the sale thread. most important u need to kinda decide what u wan to do with the bike. Do u awn to ride natural trials? or maybe urban trials? or just doing some TGS (taps, gaps, side hops), or would u wan to ride some street and so on. Narrow down what u wan to achieve with the bike, then the bike itself =)
  3. right, i see why danny mac mostly does his bunny hops in a side way fashion. its more like a rolling sidehop than a straight bunny hop. guess its mean to satisfy those who wish to do TGS and Street. of course cant push the limits to each but well, its suppose to be a FUN bike. Throw in BMX stuff, yes. Street, no prob. trials? sure. a jack of all trades peharps? still waiting for 24 riders to speak up =) P.S still curious how tall is danny mac. I always think i am too tall if i ride a 24 =x I am 6'1
  4. hey check out the new tarty videos for some helpful guides! http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/media.html?group=guides anyway u might wannas tart out with a 2nd hand bike, it will get more value for your money, but if u really wan a new bike, try an onza =)
  5. hmmm or get a marino? summarise a bit of what leon mention, so generally, short bike = better street (bunny hop, manuals) longer bike = better pure trials (rear wheel moves, side hop) is the inspired considered long? what bout tailwhips? its something i have been trying to nail btw anyone coming to defend for the 24s? =p
  6. well if u got the money u can always get both and then see which one u end up riding more =) anyway back to the 24 and 26 discussion, what are the pros of 24 other thats its more flickabe? making stuff like flat land tail whips much easier. its just almost impossible on a 26. Are moves easily to pick up on a 24 too?
  7. if u have the money u can always do. =p but i believe is having one bike only for myself as it trains you to be sensitive to the bike's performance. its will also push the bike more too as you it is lesser to ahve thought like one move is harder to perform just becawuse the bike isnt that specific for it
  8. just curious how much does a marino generally weigth for stock? i am riding my stock czar till some one gets it of me so that i can start ordering one =)
  9. its just so hard to get a 26 street trials frame with good geometry without putting a bomb to the wallet (curtis, leeson), unless marino for great budget at the cost of perharps frame weight btw anyone knows whats the height of danny mac?
  10. hey looks like there are more preferences for the 26 then 24, thats rather surprising considering the up surge of 24 now. personally i still think a full size bike is the best.
  11. how tall are you? i personally think height and build plays a part for the size of bike, though its not definate
  12. check out here =) http://free-du.t-com.hr/trials/frames.html
  13. thanks guy! actually my friend does wan to get a 26 like me, but however due to the limted frame choices for street trials, its kinda making him think of getting a 24 instead.. I totally understand what Ali meant bout how the wheels moves and places themselves, that one of the concerns (actually the main one since thats basically how the bike feels when handing). i think he might wanan ride a 26 in the future when better frame choices start coming, but it is tough to convert?
  14. back problems could be easily serious, definitely do get an x ray or a MRI if the problem persistent more than 1 to 2 weeks of good rest. A slip disc or any sort is not funny.
  15. Hi guys, need some help and opinions from riders who does street trials. my friend is interested in getting a street trial bike (starting out, can only do basics stuff for now), but he cant decide between getting a 26 or a 24. Generally he is into bunny hops, gaps and taps and narrow lines, and maybe some tailwhips once is a while. I have only ridden a 26 so i cant give him much opinion myself. Oh btw he is 6feet tall some of his concerns and questions 1. what are the general pros and cons between a 26 and 24 street trial bike. 2. Will adapting from one to another (and vice versa) be difficult? 3. will 24 feel small and cramp up? for what i know there arent many 26 street trial with decent geometry out there other than custom.. while 24 have a surging upcoming lots of bikes.
  16. the whole series of Ryan leech's mastering the art of trials is very useful. Try to observe his movement (body movement) instead of focusing ont he bike, you will learn a lot morethat way =)
  17. thanks guys! hows the performance of it comparing to a free rear hub?
  18. Anyone runs a FFW on street trials riding? or probably an inspired? Need some opinions thanks!
  19. snoolax

    Czar 24"

hmm why is the because so long at 1065mm wheelbase is its for street too?
  20. great site! hope u recover soon man trials rider just do all the craziest stuff! erm are u still able to ride while recovering?
  21. hey everyone, just notice inspired updated their site with some new products to be coming soon and a complete build fourplay bike! any insiders info when willt he new products be avaliable to the market? or are they gonna go through a period of tests by prob danny mac and gang first?
  22. thanks Luke i guess using a non trials fork is not such a good idea.. are there really no companies now that still produces geometry corrected fork for trials/street trials specific? it will be much easier than hopping for someone to sell the kiften long
  23. thanks! damn i guess i will stick to my fatty R or wait for someone to sell their kinften light long. its more important to loose weight at the front than rear right?
  24. hey guys, http://surlybikes.com/parts/instigator_fork/ found a fork that can make my moment geometry right, is this fork too heavy for street and trials?
