  1. know that this sounds a bit crazy but anyone try sandals or slippers? i find that being able to hook my first and second toe around the slipper's stem give me extra grip and strengh when pushing back on my pedals. O_O they could invent some trial shoe with the slipper stem in it
  2. my echo urban fork with wheel alightment is pretty off too, around 1 cm to the left whch is pretty much. Makes the bike feels weird too
  3. thanks guys! will try out the various methods mentioned =) thanks guys will get a few to try out, can only make us of options and brand available in my area, which apparently are only brands like echo, monty, koxx, try all, trial tech, neon.
  4. from feel the angle doesnt seem really steep, feels less than 72 for me when i try pivoting (in relative to my 72 HA Czar stock btw is there any way which i can physically measure headangle?
  5. definitely danny mac for me, he just does it with so my flair and style! street plus trials is a real beauty when done well
  6. thanks! yup i agree that bunny hops on it is a breeze, lifts real well.. not sure bout manuals yet since i stll can execute them (damn!) not sure bout the head angle on it but i am already finding it quite slack.. at least feels more slack that my stock czar of 72 degree.. what might be an ideal tune up for it now if my priorities are bunnyhopes, manuals, and some rear wheel pedal kick hops and a couple of nose moves?
  7. thanks! how long is the onza lite guy? went to their site but they didnt say anything bout the specs.. oh i still wish to have more opinion on how will a lower bb affect performance, other than increased stability?
  8. oh my norco is old enough? think mine is a 2004? didnt know there was old haha just measured the wheel base.. not sure if its really accurate but its like 1060.. thick tyres makes measuring hard.. btw will carbon fork work for trials? its tough to get old production geometry corrected forks in my area..
  9. http://www.flickr.com/photos/38178465@N05/4018412997/ here is a pic of it of course i dont expect crazy gaps or jumps, just wish to know will this drop affect my learning curve and performance.. I more into lines than distances and height, which is why i went for the norco.. but well currently i am only to do basics like trackstands, hops and rock so i cant judge much myself.. thanks for all help again guys! Edit: its not that obvious in the first photo, Bb drop is clearer here http://www.flickr.com/photos/38178465@N05/4018410739/
  10. thanks guys! just did some measurements my bike is at a BB of -30. high Bb is not my cup of tea, just wish to get it to neutral.. guess the options i have now is some custom engineering or just grab a geocorrected fork. Most prob will go with getting the geo corrected fork, custom engineering is pretty a hassle in my area. still new to geometry and stuff, may i ask how significant is the difference between a netural and a -30 in terms of feel and peformance? and are there any advantages of using a slight negative BB?
  11. I think u cant really compare jumping with physical body and gapping with a bike. Its almost totally different as gapping on bike requires more pulling an technique combination than just pure action reaction force when u are jumping physically on the ground..
  12. thanks! how bout between the bottom of the head tube and the headset? i am just thinking of ways to correct the geometry my frame(yes its norco) without getting a geo corrected fork
  13. hi guys, anyone knows if its possible to add spacer between the headtube and fork crown so that my bike will have a heigher front? its similar to using a longer fork..

regarding the rim the whole rim is black. abou the TPA, do u mean that after some time it will like kinda unscrew itself?

thanks Hdmackay! actually i only need the first part in getting rid of the tar. I think my 2nd hand bike has some left over tar from the previous owner. Btw i am running a smooth rhyno lite rim, the rim color is black, is it anodised? Oh i tried your recommendation of sopy water the the dragging is deduced , there are still bits of dragging but i kinda suspect its the lazy piston syndrome from a old hs33. a off track question to this, any faster and efficient way in setting up a hs33 than the push in calipers all the way and the move them out a little and lock? this method is 100 times harder to do with brake adaptors from v brake mounts
  16. nice site! inspiring! keep updating!

oh noo i used tar on my rims, but after i had got them off my pads still stick to the rims for a while after i release it. This is kinda screwing up my trackstand as the delay in the pads leaving the rims makes a forward pedal pressure weird. also when it leaves it creates a dragging sound like farting. what can i do?
  18. thanks guys! will try the disk brake cleaners if my LBS have any. 2nd option will be thinners, do i really have to soak them overnight or can i just wipe the disc with them?
  19. Hello guys, i just replaced my magura marta brake pads, but i am using a used 160mm rotor which i got 2nd hand. How do i ensure that the rotors are free of oil or any other contiminations before i hook it on with my new pads? thanks!
  20. cool thanks! i have been running Echo ISIS for every since but never knew what they were =)
  21. sorry to hitch on this topic a little, whats the different between a ISIS crank and a normal crank?
  22. i know this is old, but steel frames with a seat is just orgasamic for me! damn why do they stop making such frames!
  23. just curious any benifits of using a V to maguras?
  24. thanks guys! the only thing i am worried especially getting the kinesis are that it is a bounded fork and its carbon, thinking that trials has so much extend of abuse on the forks i am kinda afraid they might fail to take the abuse. IF and olnly IF i run a susfork for trial, will a XC fork like be able to take the abuse?
