the blades are pinned in anyway, so if you break a lever (which i havent heard of with the new models) you just buy a new full lever

Its a bitch to do really, i find its not worth the hassle of fixing them once they go sticky, they will never work as well, just see if you can find another piston or buy a new one

I faintly remember hearing about someone running a magura rim brake and disk brake through the some lever somehow, so your idea but a rim instead of disk I cant think where i heard it, i may just be going insane and making stuff up but i recognise it from somewhere Seems completely pointless anyway, if you want a better front brake, buy a maggy/vee instead of a disk

I'd say its all in the preload, try not to hop for a preload, almost lean backwards into it so your wheel stays on the wall and your tyre compresses for the power, hope this helps:)
