  8. Back to replying the old question. Get the LGMs Im running Belaey right now because my local shop didn't have LGMs and Belaeys suck soo much! LGMs I had lasted for eight months, worked in wet, and even when contamintated with Magura blood. They didnt need fresh grind either, I grind my rim once a month and they worked good. God damn it I miss LGMs

  12. Why can't people just get Chris Kings and get done with it, Jesus Christ! My three old King never skips and I serviced it twice.. No problems, no maintenance. $300 well spent. What hubs or any free wheels or any trials parts for that matter last this long?

  14. So Im looking to finally get a new bike after a year and a half.. I currently ride a Echo Control 07 Short with 1060wb, +10bb, 385 cs. I was thinking of getting a GU LE +60, but it feels very awkward and I decided I want something lower than 60.. so the Piranha and A1 come to mind Piranha long: 1090wb, +35bb, 383 cs, A1 long 1090wb, +45bb, 380 cs I am 5' 11 Im looking for some reviews on these frames. I wont be riding much natural and it will be used for TGS.
  15. I would just like to say stay the f**k away from echo brakes
  16. Are you serious?? How about stop giving a f**k about what colour it is and ride the shit out of it? you would get flamed so badly on OTN. lol
  17. The bike looks good man! you should practice track stands abd riding skinnies first before you do any rear wheel moves! call me old school, but you need to be able to ride with two wheels before you can ride on one wheel. I didnt bother doing the balance when I started out and now I'm doing the basics again.
  18. Thanks for the reassuring replies guys!
  19. I've been riding for a year now and there are quite a few riders around my area. However, they have all been riding for a long time and when we go for group rides, I'm the guy doing the smallest things. I also happen to be the youngest guy in my area (18) Although I do enjoy riding with much better people, I'm not sure what they think about me. Heres the question for the old/expert guys: Do you like/dislike riding with beginners?
  20. Well, I hope Hope give him a new lever covered under warranty. Wait, will he ever want to use Hope brakes again??
  21. Thanks for letting me know! However, I'm looking for something from North America to save that shipping cost.
  22. I'm using these tensionners with the roller and pulling the chain up. running 18-15 and chain wrap is as good as/ or better than snail cam set up. and it convers the deraileur hanger as well. I never had any chain skipping problems.
  23. So what is up with all the newer/modern stock frames (Koxx, Neon, Onza, Monty, etc) being made with horizontal dropouts? Yes, I know we dont run gears any more. However, from my experience, with vertical dropouts, I never ever have to mess with the chain, brake allignment and gearing issues. And with a good spring tensioner like I have right now, the chain is pretty much as tight as it gets. I also have to add that I never have to worry about chain stretch too. I know of other riders with horizontal dropout frames, I can always hear the chain slapping the frame. And when they take the wheel off, it takes so much effort to put it back on. I've been using vertical dropouts since I started riding, and couldn't have been any happier. Now, I'm considering a new frame with more modern geo and they are all horizontal dropouts! Where did all the vertical dropout frames go? Am I the only one realizing this? Of course, there might be a slight weight advantage with the snail cam set up, but I simply cannot stand them! I really like the new Slate2's geo..
