2002 or possibly 03 I'd say. One of the first ever ES2's into the country at the time I believe.

That's a clean for you this time. Exceptional spelling, grammar and appropriate use of smilies.

It's still such an absolute shocker. Expected Janson to be a TF regular til he was 95 to be honest. There will be such a massive void left with his passing, as there already has, and will continue to be for DJ, Oli and Beau.
These guys are totally and utterly irreplaceable.

Yeah still got the same Zebdi I had five years ago and still going strong I was riding a few months back with Jimbo Limbo, Ian and Daryl from Lowestoft. Will have to dust the bike off again some time soon.

one piece of advice- don't f**king cut just before the landing!! i dont know if they dabbed or cleared it. noob.
Apologies for my editing 5 years ago. If only I could teleport myself back in time and correct my shambolic editing, thus avoiding the embarassment of being branded a noob by your good self. Who ever the hell you are.

+1 year bump It's been a while. Some of the newer members might not have seen this one before. Sorry, just doing a spot of reminiscing.

Thanks for the responses it's all useful info. It is a non profit organisation so unlike most e-commerce sites the aim is not sales based, merely to promote sports participation in the county. So their motives will be very different. I think I'm more confident based on what you have said, as it doesnt look like I will need to know anything too complex coding wise. I can remember most of the HTML basics and anything else is easy enough to look up. I think what they will be looking for will be based more on ability to produce quality content, so I'm going to practice writing short articles and press releases. I have read up on copy writing and writing for the web and learnt some nice buzz words like A.I.D.A (Attention, interest, desire, action). Keep it concise, short paragraphs, get all the key info in and think from the readers perspective, and other such guff.
Once again cheers for the responses up to now. If anyone else has anything to add please do!

I've got an interview on Tuesday for a job I'd very much like to bag. The official post title is 'Website Communications & Development Officer' - basically this involves writing content, updating, and marketing the website. Nothing too complicated then, I won't be redesigning sites from scractch or anything like that.
Slight problem: I got the interview based on my experience running Trials sites many moons ago (Bashguard.com et al) and I dont actually have any commercial experience in web monkey based antics. So I really need to get up to speed with how this lark works- the last time I touched a website was in 2002!
If there are any webmasters out there (and especially those doing it commercially) then please, please, please could you bestow me with as much of your web authoring knowledge as possible? I'm confident that I'm up to the job but I really need a refresher so I know what to expect. A few questions that I have:
- Industry standard software these days?
- The difference between running a personal site and a commercial site?
- Industry jargon/ lingo that I should know?
- The level of coding knowledge I'm likely to need at this level?
- Any other advice would be great to!
The website is a government/ grant funded organisation who's aim is to increase sports participation levels in my County. A lot of the work will involve producing press releases and articles on upcoming sporting events.
Cheers guys

Yeah at the Norwich theatre Royal. It's his home coming gig And did you know that there is an actual Radio Norwich that broadcasts in the area (a little side fact for you there). Not sure if the Clifton Suspension Quiz, or Alan's deep bath are regular features though....

I'm sure this has been asked before but how come there haven't been any Trials riders on Britain's got talent? Or perhaps there has been and I missed it.
Choregraph a few moves to some decent music, a few bits on stage to ride from a demo rig and it's got to be better than most of the drivel that gets through the first round.

Thanks for the answers so far guys. Doesn't matter if you dont know much about Aviva/ the rebrand, it is still useful.
-
Please could you add a reply (if you want to) before scrolling through the thread. This is so that your answer isn't influenced by anybody else.
This is for a mate who is doing a dissertation based on rebranding, and in particular Aviva's recent decision to replace the Norwich Union Brand with Aviva.
- Questions are purposely not too in depth to get an idea of general awareness
- Answer Q1 and Q2 simply YES or NO
- Answer Q3 with a sentence or two if you can
- Please try to be honest as possible and no Googling!
1. Are you aware of the rebranding?
2. Are you aware of Aviva?
3. What do you think Aviva operates as?
Thank you!

Before Frika jumps in.... Couldn't possibly divulge information about royalties on here I dont think we will be living it up in LA just yet though.
Fat Pants - I held and pointed the camera in the general direction and happened to catch the faceplant tomfoolery in its full glory allowing millions on millions of complete strangers all over the world to witness the incredible fete.... and then laugh/ reel in shock at Martin's expense.
Edit- ahem. I think you will find if it wasnt for me and my camera work you would have merely lost a few teeth and looked a bit silly and nobody would be none the wiser to it. Think on Frika, think on
-
Nice one Frika let the cat out of the bag! DVD sales have been pretty slack to be honest though so royalties haven't been that lucrative
-
Sounds like it went pretty well so nice one. Good luck getting that second interview.
