  1. Think they're standard pro 2's. Don't have the time, that's the whole point of this topic! Makes more sense for someone else to get the use out of it than the money it's worth just sat in my garage almost all year round. If I split I will let you know if it's 36h. Thing I don't like about splitting is you always get parts left over! I don't even know how much I'd advertise parts for if I broke it down.. I'd have to do a fair amount of research.
  2. really? I was hoping it'd be a fair amount more than that.. Although didn't have a particular price in mind.
  3. Considering selling up... I love this bike but never get time to ride it as things always get in the way. It's in perfect mechanical order and needs nothing doing to it. How much do you think it's worth? The spec is: Frame: Echo control - good condition, no dents Forks: Echo urban (I think) Headset: Chris King Wheels: Hope pro 2 disc hubs, mavic front rim, echo rear rim, maxxis high roller tyres Brakes: Avid BB7 front (203mm), HS33 rear - both set up perfectly IMO Cranks: Middleburn pro trials Bars/Stem: Echo tough bars, echo stem
  4. Guessing no one's going... thought that may be the case with late notice. Never mind.
  5. I'm probably (depending if anyone else does) going to be riding in Portsmouth tomorrow evening as my new front brake should arrive tomorrow. If it does, i'll fit it after work and go straight there. Would anyone else be up for it? I could be there between 6pm and 7pm depending on the traffic and what time i finish work. Also depending on the weather. But if all is good. Who's up for it?
  6. Can someone who's definately going pm me their number as i'm still not 100% sure if i'm coming but hopefully will. I may be a bit late though... so you may have moved on by the time i get there. Cheers
  7. To start with, how many fingers do you have on the brake lever? 1? 2? 4? Ideally you just want the 1. It's possible with 2 but a lot harder, and almost impossible with 4. So...?
  8. I may come along, depending on the weather. Haven't riden in about 2 years so will be terrible, but just got a new bike and want to get back into trials so gotta start somewhere! Anywhere to park for free near here? Or cheap ish?
  9. I spoke to someone at a local bike shop and they said if i partly prepared the bike myself they'd take it as they could get it powder coated. I completely stripped it down and put old bolts in the brake mounts holes, can't remember exactly what i used to cover the holes for the headset and bottom bracket as it was a while ago now. But then they sand blasted it and powder coated it. Looked great afterwards . I'd personally recommend getting it powder coated anyway.
  10. One of the best things to get you started is learning to trackstand. Balance is the key to trials riding. Once you're confident that you can do this well, try balancing just on the rear wheel. I found this helped me a lot when i started trials riding a couple of years ago. Once you can do these you'll find it a lot easier to progress onto bigger and better moves.
  11. 270 drop off from the front wheel is one of my favorite
  12. Very nice, especially that GU i do really like them! Are there any other main suppliers of ready built bikes apart from tarty? Just out of interest.
  13. Yeah Birmingham is quite far to test some bikes... and i'd feel a bit left out going to a ride without a bike to ride. So think i'll just bite the bullet and get one when i've decided what. Not sure what geometry would suit me, i'm 6 foot so a longer bike would probably be better. And yeah the bad brakes thing wouldn't be a problem as i know how to set brakes up/grind the rim etc. Just need to get validated again so that i can post in the wanted section. Even more annoying as i have found posts from my old account a couple of years back never mind.
  14. Is there anywhere i can go to try out different bikes?
  15. Qutie a few use 26" to be honest buddy. There's not much difference in it.
