Just wondered why some peoples profile pictures don't show up in topics? Like now, see to the left, what's it all about? Not that it matters a great deal, just curious... Kev

Hi. Been out of the trials loop for the past 3 years (messed up my shoulder). Anyway purchased bits and bobs from ebay and put together a bike in the hope my shoulder would hold up for one last ditch attempt at trials happiness! Nothing amazing just some winter fun! http://www.youtube.com/user/kevtimtv#p/a/u/0/IrG3ehjQmGg

Thanks guys loving the advice... I just found these beauties on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...IT#ht_500wt_876 They cost around the same price as the trialtechs and are 60g lighter (titanium axles). What do you guys think? Can anybody tell me if these wellgo's with ti axels are any good? Keep the advise a coming! Cheers Kev

Hi, i have around £50 for some pedals. At the moment i ride V8 which are bomb proof and have lasted me years and years... However i want to cut down on some weight and wondered what people would recommend. I've got my eyes on the trialtech magnesiums or the wellgo magnesiums. Wellgo's work out cheaper for the same weight and spec as far as i can tell..... Is there actually any difference? Any other recommendations appreciated! Thanks Kev

How do you bleed maguras as one of my current brakes is a little crap and i've never needed to do it before? Any step by step info anywhere with tools, tips for a good brake set up? I just wondered what the differences between bleeding maguras with oil and water are also? Is one better than the other? All help much appreciated thanks! Kev

Etnies or DC are the way to go on ebay. My old DC lasted me 3 long years until they started leaking! Brought some beautiful etnies for only £18 last week, real grippy on the pedals and cool for waring out and about day to day!

I used to get this problem a fair bit when i ran a freewheel. I used to get through one every 4-6 months or so (monty freewheels). Sounds like it's on the way out and i like you would take it all apart and inspect, but its just best to buy a new one. I kept one going for about a month and had it fail on me while gapping, best be safe and buy a new gooden! It's an odd thing because i new people that used the same freewheel for years at a time, but id get through them like nothing... Seems a bit hit and miss, might have something to do with riding style but who no's Kev

Yo everybody, thank you all for your info, didn't realize it was such an epic subject! I love it! I'll have a look into what pads to get and will definitely grind my rim! I no im mental but i really do love riding natural in the rain, everything immediately becomes more challenging if not a little frustrating. It's good to do, get out in the rain! Cheers folks really appreciate all the advise! Kev

Cheers guys, really appreciate all the advise! I'll go see my doctor and see if i can sort something out. I think my riding posture isn't great also (after watching some videos back) I bend my back lots on hop ups to back wheel! The next time i go out riding i'll have to try keeping my back as straight as possible and see if that helps! Cheers Kev

Wow went for my first wet and windy natural ride today! Dangerous times! Id forgot how bad maguras are in the rain, fell of pretty much once every 5mins and ended up snapping my front brake lever clean off! Is there any way to improve on the brake power, i might as well have been riding brakeless. Any body got a spare front leaver knocking about i can buy also (hs33), just need the metal leaver bit? Cheers, thanks, regards, great!

Hay people, returned to trials after a two/three year gap and have been getting mid back pain. Id get bad back trouble when i used to ride and it was always present and bloody annoying. Not serious pain, but enough of a twinge to make me not go for big ups or gaps. The pain is middle back and on my left side(spine to the side of my ribs), i ride with my right foot forward. I have been doing lower back exercises to try stamp it out but it's still there when i ride. Anybody got any good advice that might help get rid of it because i hate holding back when im riding in fear of injury. I stretch and do about half an hour of back exercises before i go on any ride because this is the only thing that ever stopped it getting worse. All advice and help welcome please! Cheers! Kev

Excellent, riders from the west midlands. I'll have to try meet up with you guys some time. Sadly can't make it this weekend. Just getting back into trials after a two/three year gap due to a nasty shoulder injury. Is there many riders around these days? In the two years i rode trials i never once bumped into another trials rider. Cheers Kev

Real nice riding, enjoyed it! Good way to start my day! Cheers Kev

Ok, with some advice from tarty i've managed to sort it! Cheers Adam! Just needed to make sure the chain wrapped around the sprocket a full 180 degrees. I did have to remove the pin on the tensioner arm completely and saw down the little aluminium sleeve bit that you use to attach it to the frame. It has proven a little temperamental to set up without the play in the hanger arm but at least it works Cheers, cheers Kev

Hay Adam, yeah for sure i'll send you some pictures asap... I run a hope rear hub as you will seeeeeeeeee....... and yeah purchased the lot from you i did. Cheers for picking it up so fast Kev Hay fella, i did indeed get the long arm one as i read about the old issues the shorty could cause Cheers Kev
