  1. I'm running Rockman blues with a grind and a little tar, brake works awesome. The tar just stops the brake slipping, like I said. You can slag tar and the people who use it down all you like, but it works for me, and I love it.
  2. Hope that helps, I use very little tar, but find it helps stop my brake slipping out backwards
  3. Lol, not a completely wasted morning then Thanks guys!
  4. Can I come out of the naughty corner now?
  5. Sorry dude, I did read them, and put an edit in mine! That wasn't me bitching, it was meant to be humourous... think I'm having a bad day
  6. Hey, I'm not arguing, its removed. Lol, I try and help by pointing out the rules to someone who obviously hasn't read them or is blatantly disregarding them, and I get flamed down for breaking a rule thats not even in the rules... I feel like i fail some how, lol! EDIT - Thanks for the vote JD, much apreciated. Its actually really hard to type at mo as I spilt tea in my keyboard last night, and its going heywire!
  7. Hey, I'm happy to remove it on request for the sake of not causing trouble, BUT, if its part of the rules, it needs to be put in the rules clearly. I did check, quite a few times, to make sure it was ok. And on the topic of page load times, its 88.43 Kb, unless your on a 56k modem, it isn't going to make the slightest bit of difference.
  8. A - Says nothing about pics in sigs in the rules, and... B -
  9. Forum rules = http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/index.php?showannouncement=3&f=13 Can I get a Lock Thread over here, stat!
  10. I think that topic is quite informative! I agree with the bit about beginners running the best they can afford. My first trials bike was a 26" Koxx Levelboss, Had that a couple months before buying a 26" Onza Limey 2. Wasn't long before I decided to go 20" though, and bought a Ciguena, which is an amazing 1st frame, good geo, lightish and incredibly strong! Now running an Echo Lite 09, and really feeling the benifits of a decent frame, I feel I've progressed 10 fold since I got it!
  11. I've been using water bled maggies for 2 years now without a problem. I use tap water and anti-freeze/engine coolant. Haven't had any problems with seals yet, and the coolant has lube in it to keep all internal moving parts working well. I know George uses de-ironised water and anti-freeze to bleed his, might be worth a try if your really bothered about it
  12. Advertising architecture and 3D modelling to a bunch of trials riders... obviously they haven't quite worked out their target consumer base, and someone in their marketing department needs shooting
  13. Its got a few bits in it, lol, we're working on the rest!
  14. I don't mind riding in the rain, we even went street riding when we had really bad snow a few months back! But if the rain gets too bad, we have this: Abandoned warehouse for the win!
  15. My Echo Echo Lite '09 Short Onza Carbon Bars Monty Stem Echo CNC Headset Try-All Forx Try-All/Hope Mono Trials front brake Rear Magura with Echo TR Booster TrialTech square taper Bottom Bracket, Cranks & Chain Echo Lite Bashplate DMR V8 Pedals Try-All Rims on Try-All "H" Hubs front and rear Rockan Blue pads
  16. I took a tumble a while back, fell of a drop straight onto my back, on a set of stairs. When I could finally ride again, I was proper scared of dropping off stuff. I told myself I could do it, started small and worked my way back up. As pointed out, you have to convince yourself that you can do it. I'm fine dropping off now, as I practiced and practiced, I'm much more confident.
  17. I'd be carefull with big brakes to be honest mate. I used a 180mm Hope Mono Trials front brake on my 20", it bent the disc mount on a set of Echo Urban forks and a set of Try-all Forx. I've since swapped that brake for a 160mm.
  18. 11 o'clock this morning, when my new echo lite 09 frame turned up from Tartybikes, lol. That, or last years demo at dover regatta, was awesome
  19. George, Love the vid mate! That side hop from the sleeper to the big block down the spot.... since when could you do that?! lol. P.S George, mine an Kurts new frames should turn up tomorrow, what you up too?
