Oh shit, Josh, you've moved to the North! Ideal for getting on the trails.

Looks/sounds like a solid enough base for a project. If you haven't found them yet, check out DIY-Kitchens. Used them for our place and they were brill. Cheaper than Howdens/etc and better quality, pre-built units 👍

    To the North?! 🤣

They look decent, my new eMTB will need a pair so I'll keep these in mind.

What did you go for in the end?

Never got any info off my lad, he's as forgetful as me 😅

  3. Bit of a random one but chatting to a lad my son works with at True North Cycles and he put me on to some new cheapish sealed flat pedals so I bought a set for my unicycle.

Now I always associated Oxford with motorcycle locks and clothing but these are ridiculous, got them for £26 as well!

The pins are really grippy and the pedals themselves are nice and big and flat.

Think I'm gonna pick up another set for my On One as well if not my Python also, definitely recommend if anyone is on the lookout for new pedals!

  4. Finally after months of searching managed to get hold of another semi decent 29er unicycle. Prices have gone ridiculous (the exact same build 29er muni I paid £180 delivered for about 8yrs ago is now £480!) but blagged this for £120 as I wasn't in a rush for the guy to post it.

Bonus as well as it came with Tensile V brake adapters I can sell!

I'll find out what my budget is hopefully later today, but no I don't want full sus as I'll be doing a mix of riding on it and nothing big enough to justify full sus - I suspect the budget on one would be significantly higher too.

Can land on some occasional bargains, there were a few GT full sus ebikes a few months back for £2500-2600 as GT been having problems so everything got reduced but yeah generally. Plus the full fat full sus bikes are absolute tanks, my lads Merida is a monster compared to the carbon half fat Heckler they've got as a demo bike but again the prices are ridiculous.

Will see if him or his boss have any suggestions or what to avoid

  6. You can get two types they refer to as either full fat or half fat, that Giant looks like a full fat bike but as it's a hardtail it doesn't matter as much as you've not got the extra weight from the rear suspension to deal with.

Can ask my lad what the motors are like as he works with ebikes a lot, that would be the deciding factor for me or can see what he'd recommend based on your budget, definitely don't want to go full sus?

  7. Gonna bump this up cause it's easily one of my favourite trials vids ever.

I'm 42 now and would have given anything to have had a group of friends like this back in the day.

  8. The current setup of my Zoo Python.

Really wanted to enjoy this after longing for another for so long but the lack of Echo forks with full steerer tubes has properly hampered how this feels to ride now 😑

Only thing due to change is the front brake going to a Hope Tech lever on Echo caliper (when I get round to doing it)

  9. Been on the lookout for another 29" unicycle for cruising on canal towpaths and the like.

Had one around 2012/13 which cost £125 brand new, the literal same model now (other than a different tyre) costs £480!

Luckily I've finally tracked one down second hand on FB for £125, can't wait to get my hands on it and get a few modifications done!

  10. Gonna bump this as I'm struggling to find a Hope trials caliper to match my tech lever but I do have an Echo disc brake.

Does the Hope Mono Trial seal kit (HBSPC41:TRIAL) fit the Echo caliper so I can run it with dot?
