  2. Well i am with scotty on this one, I understand that you have worked very hard to get where you are today but for marketing purposes I am sure you will understand just popping onto a trials forum and asking about booze is not what I would call good marketing. As you are obviously well educated I will choose my next words very carefully.................F&%K OFF AND BUG SOMEBODY ELSE. I rest my case your honor Apologies to the moderators if I have stepped out of line.
  3. I got one today and I quote " clearly the signs of a miss spent youth......and I say that in complete admiration of what you can do" Yeah i know im old but he was considerably older than me. Well happy with that. Still get filthy looks from 80% of the people out there mind.
  4. Had the same problem, renew banjo bolt and washers, do NOT over tighten. Problem solved. Good luck.
  5. Thats a good little video, you are flying along for only nine weeks. My advice to you now would be Crash helmet. keep up the good work
  6. The viscosity is the same between the fluids, the difference being boiling point Dot 4 boils at 140ish degrees C. Dot 5 is the odd one out, its silicone based, what effect that would have I don't know, But I suspect seal failure would probably follow quite shortly after.
  7. Why not use brake cleaner from a parts shop, removes oil, water, antifreeze and evaporates in seconds surely better than burning. Not as much fun thou.
  8. always the 1st to fall off

  9. I have to agree with the others, I would rather spend the money on something else. I agree our bikes are unique, most of them are custom built to our specification, if a run of the mill scrote stole my bike, they would stop after a 100 yards cause as most people like to say "its got no seat" and more to the point, if somebody knows what it is, they will know how much it costs and if they stole it and it would be broke up in minutes. So as it stands, if your bike is tagged the frame will be in a river quicker than jumping jack flash, get insurance, I know it costs more but its worth it in the long run. I would also suggest legal cover because if catch any little f**ker nicking my bike I will wrap it said bike so far up his arse he will pedal kick every time he sh*ts.
  10. Hi Get yourself to Severalls Ind Est in Colchester me and a couple of others ride there on Saturdays, its a good crack, walls, pallets, loading bays and if you get stuck I could give you a lift on the way back Im in Mistley, PM me if you fancy it. AL
  11. JJB's do some Nike ones for £20 they are light and work OK, but if you balls it big time like I do the pedals still get you, my advice is buy the real deal from tarty bikes. Well worth the investment.
  12. Hi My boys eighth birthday is due and its time to get him a new bike, he fancies a bmx, any recommendations on a nice one, rather not buy one from the muppets at halfords as i would always prefer a recommendation and an independent. He is not to good on a bike, bit like me, but he has that look in his eye when i trial in the back garden so its only a matter of time before he gives it a go, there is much stuff out there I dont have a clue what to get him, thinking about spending a £100 or so, any advice would be great. Thanks AL
  13. Being an inexperienced rider I have a slight problem battering my frame, I ride a mod with a bash guard, trouble is as I get more confident I go for bigger ups, Walls usually, but find I miss the bash guard and go clattering into the wall on the lower part of the frame, I'm sure you have all done it, Is there anything available to protect this part of the frame apart from me, not trying things outside of my comfort zone, but if I see something and fancy it Ill give it a go. What are you all using or is it an acceptable practice to smash your frame into next week?
  14. oh yes. I have some home brew kindly donated to me by a customer. Its whiskey with honey in it, Its blinding quite literally.

  17. You are not alone, I am working on my own in a cold garage, fixing cars and falling on my backside when out on breakdowns, I live up to my name, Happydaze. Merry Christmas hope you all have a good one
  18. Well Im 34 and I lurk around Colchester, I ride a Mod, Started this year. I refuse to get old with any dignity and if there is a list of things to do before you die. This is one of them, I find it challenging but my fitness levels have risen massively. I think everyone should try it.
  19. I too was a pre member, It took me less than a week to get validated. Ask sensible questions, post descriptive answers, posts like that will get you nowhere, you are only biting the hands that feed you. Good luck.
  20. Hi and thank you kind people for my validation to being a member. I have a query about free-wheels, Is it better to have it on the crank or on the rear wheel, the bike in question is one we are making at work in our spare time its a stock, Echo pure 07, and we are after some advice from more experienced riders on what the best set up will be, we intend to run single speed, what would be the fors and against Thanks AL
  21. I have had mixed background, BMX to start then onto MTB I find the mod more comfortable to ride. I still think that there is a scientific reason for this and i will get to the bottom of it thanks for your reply
  22. Mine is an Onza T-bird an old one at that and my mates is a Diamond back T-bow mario signature frame with run of the mill wheels
  23. How does this work, I was practising today my balancing, and I was offered a go on my mates stock, why oh why could I balance like perfectly on it, could not do sod all else on it mind, but my god i was like a legend. Is this because its a better bike, or is it because it has wider tyres? I just do not know why and I am desperately racking my brains as to how its possible, to me it defies logic. I eagerly await your answers.
  24. Defo a 20" wheel. What about the crank and forks any chance they will fit?
  25. Thanks for the vote, you are correct about the rear wheel being a 20" on my old bird, but on the plus side the chap selling the frame is also selling the wheels. thanks Al
