coverage starts today at 2.55 on Olympic bbc 1 for anyone that might want to check it out?
  4. constructive criticism includes reasoning. The post in question did not. The same headset sold for 3 quid less than i was asking on Ebay? Just because no-one on here wanted to pay it doesn't mean it's not worth it. Like i mentioned earlier, there are communities outside of tf with older member who have more money to spend than the younger users on here. The reason i started this thread is because I'm sure there are others who are tired of these goings on. It spoils my enjoyment of the forum at times. If people want to carry like that them that's up to them i guess, I'll just have to ask people don't troll at the start of my threads???
  5. like you say. It's a forum and invites opinion but that doesn't mean it's always right to put it forward in the open forum format. I'm not looking for a row. Just tired of looking at stuff sifting through bs comments and having them stuck my thread!
  6. Clearly you've not tried selling something to have your thread filled with crap. I even had someone sell something in my thread the other day. I'm not arguing. It wasn't overpriced for the world that exists outside tf. (there is one). How is it not out of order posting an unsubstantiated comment that Will put off potential buyers. I didn't pluck the price out the air. I researched it! Hence i wasn't trying to rip a Noob off either. When your buying it's down to not to find out what the going value is anyway! Tom i think that should be applied here. You don't get all this crap on singletrack or retro. The usergroup on here is clearly less mature. That's not a dig it's an obvious fact. Trials is more popular amongst younger riders and i think all the bandwagon jumping and spamming puts older riders off coming on here? There's no respect at all on here for users outside of the little cliques. And as for dickcheese, that sort of language is inappropriate being i got a warning for calling troyston a knob the other day when he actually was being one. All i asked is people stop spamming the thread potentially putting buyers off! Tom can decide that one, not going to bother reporting it.
  7. i did use the report and got given a load of crap for it! As for over priced Clearly it wasn't. People pay! If you don't want it then just keep your nose out!
  8. i had a thread so badly spammed i had to close it and got a warning for telling troyston to stop acting like a knob for posting a comment telling me a headset i was selling was to much. Why do people do this? Just seen bradJohnson has had his thread dumped on as well? Have a bit of common sense and Pm someone instead of spoiling the thread? Furthermore don't put up unsubstantiated comments? An identical headset i sold went for 67 quid on ebay. Mine was up for 70! The forum is getting wrecked by these trolling keyboard warriors. Anyone else agree anything like that deserves an instant warning?
  9. apologies. My phone seems to double post for some reason i had a thread so badly spammed i had to close it and got a warning for telling troysmon sense and Pm someone instead of spoiling the thread? Furthermore don't put up unsubstantiated comments? An identical headset i sold went for 67 quid on ebay. Mine was up for 70! The forum is getting wrecked by these trolling keyboard warriors. Anyone else agree anything like that deserves an instant warning?
  10. i don't envy you or any of you guys in this position. I've had long spells of not working through illness the last couple years and being stuck at home, not working sounds great until it happens. Good luck with it all buddy
  11. have you looked at the fire service for analyst work. It's gone very much that way nowaday. If i was to suggest what sort of work to look for I'd say anything that keeps people safe, warm or healthy. People have to be those 3 to live. Anything else Depends on cashflow and if a trend of recession follows your back to square one. I didn't go to uni as i only ever wanted to join the fire service. A trade I've picked up a little of is roofing. If you've got a leak you've got to fix it, if your walls are cracking you can live without having them skimmed. Probably haven't explained that to well but do you get the jist? Typically many mes these jobs don't pay so well but your job is more secure than the guy earning buckets at the firm that Will sack him the second work drops out like the past few years
  12. Yeah. I prefer not having a tensioner flapping about and the cleaner look of nod stock frames. Vanity more than anything with a little performance in mind! Alex, did you get my Pm's?
  13. i got the frame yesterday. It's got replacable drop outs? What's the practical use of these? I get the mech sidebut what's the idea with the non drive side? Also does anyone know if aftermark horizontal dropouts are available? Much prefer them my I've had them on my echo!
  14. thanks. My searches kept bringing up dead links to sunn bikes for some reason!
  15. sorry if it's already here somewhere but i can't find it. Can someone definitively tell me the geo on these please. Looking at switching from an 09 echo control that i run slammed. i like the rear end, it's probably about 375? So want to know the details on the atomz ! Thanks
  16. it's a shame. In his day he was totally at the forefront once those vids were released. The leech loops blew everyone away and the guy dented a top tube with his ball sack! For all we know he might have got injured and that stopped him being able to progress so much. And he's on a standard bike. I wonder How well kenny and Giles would do on something similar?
  17. I've just got some 11's and I'm really pleased with performance. Even on what's a so so bleed they work as well as i would want and the stroke even with blue Blood in is nice and light. They feel quite soft though, which again i like but if you like firmness in the lever be prepared to shell out on a booster and cnc pads! Bottom line, no point spending more on a 33!
  18. I figured that mate i was hoping to find out what type to see if my mate can weld it up!
  19. it's poxy sock marks that piss me off. Every year. I just look like a retard. End up with them from roofing, crouched down nailing plates all day. T shirt marks to but generally i don't walk around with a shirt off but walking through town with invariably burnt calves in flip flops is NOT a good look!
  20. to be honest with the 4 finger blade it's still a very light stroke so I'd rather use mag Blood.it's what they are designed to use and the stroke feels fine so No matter. Yes, in the end i did put the bung in. At this point i would like to big up tarty for their advice on the phone and mail a used nappy to magura uk. The person who designed the website might want to make it easier to navigate, then i wouldn't have to call out the grumpy Twat you ring up for direction to a user manual download and repeatedly says 'it's in products somewhere'. F'in useless!
  21. anyone got any tips? bled them a couple of days ago after changing the piston seal and they just don't seem firm enough or to travel enough for the length of the lever stroke? I bled as directed from the slave, had 3 threads showing at the lever, as far as I know i've done it right, not water bleeding before anyone suggests it!
