    K124 Days 2012

After last years edit this is really nt so good. Riding rips but the music really is awful.......and it's not the same watching a video on mute!
  3. thanks for that. Don't suppose you know the reach? Bb to headtThanks
  4. Do you know the geometry of these frames?
  5. not sure vaseline is ideal. It's petroleum based and when i used something similar on seals at work i got a moody message left about it breaking down the seals so maybe clean up and just use a bit of bearing grease?

    Ban G

agreed. Everyone was saying how great he was when he came up with his games and now he's getting all this crap. It's a side of the forum I'm really not keen on/disappointed with
  7. not sure on the design of the new levers exactly but when i had to get it out of on 05 i think i just put the syringe in the hole for the tube and left the bleed valve in and forced water in til it popped out by giving the syringe a bloody good push. Obviously the lever blade has to come off first! Hope that helps?
  8. Anyone? Fresh appeal!
  9. Shame you didn't cop one with the union jack headtube, top job on the of era build. I had a similar build with a mini seat, azonic double walls and use tfi's. Loved it but was really a street bike, i found it sluggish on the back wheel but was awsome for rolling moves and smooth to ride. Looked for one last autumn but ended up getting a 24. Still deciding if it was the right choice!
  10. does it need bedding in like a freewheel? I had same problem but mine wasn't new. My chain was upside down and the chainline was out where i changed the original wheel out and i have a cheap fixed tensioner. Needed to move the jockey wheel over!
  11. wish i hadn't bothered. Totally missed the point of me telling him. Claimed it was like that for storage purposes and if i was concerned about build quality not to bid on it. No helping some people and then there are some people who take the help and show no gratuity. He'll be lucky to get more that a tenner anyway
  12. i pointed out politely! That i probably wouldn't buy a bike from someone who couldn't even put a set of forks on the right way round, wouldn't give me faith that anything else was fitted right!
  13. answering any of the guys threads is like watching anything featuring Louie spence. You've only got yourself to blame he keeps coming back!
  14. WTF? nice vid til 4-50 then it just gets weird........
  15. anything with a davos pattern sole!
  16. Thanks! Never thought they were that pretty, stuck them together for function over form!
  17. if I've understood it sounds like the Caliper is out of alignment? If it's the inboard pad that's rubbing get some spacers between the is mounts to move it over so the rotor is in the middle of the pads. It's unlikely you'll get the brake set how you want by setting up the lever so it doesn't rub! What model disc brake is it?
  18. i can't remember. Don't think there was anything drastic on it! Sold it to a guy i used to ride with. Will have a look next time i see him with it!
  19. Had these bikes over the past couple years, foun the Giant at a bootfair for £60 and thought why not. I used to ride all through my teens but stopped about 7/8 years ago. I got quite ill Aug 10, I wanted to get right back into my riding when I was fit, had 6 months stuck at home and fancied trying natural instead of street like I used to ride. So sat on ebay and the forum and put together this Koxx Levelboss 1065 Saracen MAD forks resprayed black Zoo bars Viz Stem Avid BB7 with XT lever HS33 with GU 4 bolt and Heatsink whites Front wheel Sun ditch witch Deore hub Rear Wheel DMR Revolver on Try-all 47mm Rim (ground) Kenda 2.6 Rear Tyre Maxxis something front Tyre Tensile Cranks Onza splined BB 96 Click Freewheel Enjoyed the natural but really missed street and got ill again so another 5 months at home saw me sitting on the web and so I started again. Managed to swap most of the Koxx for this which came as standard minus the front brake so I switched it up and added a rear Hope Pro 2 SS/T on a rhyno lite, Viz stem and 720 bars, XTR levers, BB7 and Avid Rival with Inspired pads. Feels pretty good, haven't ridden properly, the forks seem to be quite flexy but feels like I'll like it. Just need some time to get down the skatepark! Hope that was vaguely interesting. The cool thing is I haven't spent much more than what returned from the sale of different bits, bought the giant and sold the frame for what the koxx cost, the green mags for what the black hs33 and BB7 cost and some other spares I had and I just sold bits and used the money to replace them, which proves how good the forum is for building a decent spec bike up i just couldn't get on with the ashton, was to short and it didn't feel comfortable on the back wheel for me so went back to a more pure bike. 09 echo control, ashton forks, Tryall h wheelset, Chris king No threadset headset, 2011 hs11's, echo tr cranks, trialtech ti halfring? Viz 720 bar and stem! Now on to an Atomz Premier 26 as the echo cracked on the chainstays, geo appears to be the same on listings i'v found so hopefully will ride as nice! first ride this afternoon, think i'll want a longer, high rise stem though!
  20. buy his bb7 and get a disc from tarty!
  21. It's hard to say, tends to slip whilst pedalling along and not when starting off so not so heavy a load? I'll look at getting a double though, think it may have been chain line causing the problem.
  22. thanks for reply I've got this Running a 22-15 ratio. I noticed tarty says i really need a two wheel tensioner because of the ratio for chain wrap, is it that vital? I think it may be chainline as i adjusted it today and sounds quieter spinnng cranks, haven't ridden it as its slashing down. Checked chain for stiff links as well so hoping thats done it!
  23. I've seen the how to on you tube, just wondering if i need the tool to refit the freehub seal or if i can get away with no special tools. Something is slipping and not sure if it's that or the front chainring? Cheers
