  1. Haha, I've got a girlfriend so dont worry, I'm not gay
  2. Thanks Revolver. I have adjusted the reach to the brake lever tonight, and it feels a lot better! Unfortunately, I will not be able to ride or take a video for a little while, due to Rugby mainly. Got quite a few Sevens tournaments and it doesn't half make you stiff, tired and sore. Never mind if you have a picked up a nice injury....... But I will defiantly get a video up some time, especially if it helps you guys help me!!! Thanks!!
  3. Hi again Guys! Thanks ever so much for all the help and advice, Very useful. I have been practicing balance and just general riding. I have also been starting to do Wheelies, as I have taken your advice and not tried to do the pedal kick for now. Anyway, I am getting better at doing a wheelie, I can find the balance point a lot easier now. I'm still pretty rubbish but I can do a Wheelie for a small distance and I know when I am in a balance point. I have a couple of questions : I find the brake lever too far away to use with only 1 finger on it. It is a Avid BB5 Brake Lever. I only have short fingers. I prefer to use my index finger, but I can't reach it that well, and I struggle to pull it in easily/defiantly. Any ideas on how I could make it easier for myself? Also, I find when I do a Wheelie compared to a 1/4 crank turn to lift the front wheel, that I have my bum further back and I pull on the handle bars more (when wheelieing). It may just be feeling it differently, but I will take a video and compare them. Does this oftenly happen? Thanks, I really appreciate all the help! James
  4. Here is mine : Never ride the bloomin' thing though..... Also, I know f**k all about BMX's, so I don't even know if mine is any good lol Thanks and ATB
  5. Here are some videos of me trying to do a pedal kick : Sorry for the rubbish riding, I'm new to this and I wasn't on the best of form (not that I am any good when I am on best form lol). The problem is that I seem to struggle to get on the balance point while on the rear wheel. On the 2nd video you can see me get in it (balance point) where I jump off, I forgot to pull in the back brake. Any tips or advice? (Especially for getting into the balance point!) Thanks BTW, Videos are going to take about an 2 1/2 hours to convert, so there is no point looking at them tonight.
  6. Just had a quick go, nothing special and I could easily improve it but I don't really see the point. And I know one of the Android 'Things' has half its body missing!
  7. When you say my good foot, do you mean my left foot (better balanced and prefer it forward)? Thanks, I really appreciate it!
  8. Thanks alot, That is some useful information! So are you saying that you would lift the front up with your right foot, then carry on rasing the front (pedal kicks) with your left foot? So basically, instead of a 1/4 crank turn it is about 1/2-3/4 (Guessing) crank turn to lift the front end? Thanks!!! So if I am better balanced with my left foot forward, I should use my right to raise the front wheel (which is what I find easier in terms of power) then use my left foot to do the pedal kicks? So as I said before, a 1/2-3/4 crank turn? Thanks a lot BTW!
  9. Just found out from the original owner that the forks are the same ones that came are on the 2009 onza comp pro and blade. Worth changing? Thanks!
  10. Thanks for all the help guys! I've got another question though : I prefer to have my left foot forward when I ride, and I feel more balanced with it forward. The problem is, I feel that I can lift the front wheel higher/easier when using my righ foot (so right forward) but it doesn't feel as natural or as well balanced. Which should I do it off? Any advice would be appreciated!
  11. Hi Guys, I could do with a little help/advice regarding the Pedal Kick. I can lift the front wheel up with a 1/4 crank turn, but as soon as I pull the rear brake on, the front end goes straight down. What am I doing wrong? Could it be that I am not bringing the front wheel up high enough? Thanks!
  12. Good point, I was just wondering if there was anything that seemed out of place or not ideal, so I could change it. I was thinking of getting some riser bars as quite a few people seem to recommend them? Thanks
  13. Thanks Jake, what bars and forks would you recommend that I look at? Ideally I don't want them to be too expensive. Thanks!
  14. Hi Guys, Just got my 1st trial bike and just wondered if there was anything I should upgrade/change? Spec: Frame :Monty Pr 221 Forks: Onza Stem : ZHI Bars : Onza carbon flat bars Cranks : Monty Pr Freewheel : VIZ 72click Wheels : monty Pr disc rear wheel Front wheel : Onza Disc wheel red and silver nipples Tyres : Maxxis Front brake: Formula Hydrolic Rear brake : Avid BB5 I was thinking of changing the bars to maybe some riser bars? Would that improve the feel of the bike? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
  15. Adjusted the brakes so they are in line. One more question : On the brake pad which doesn't move, do I want the disk to constantly rub it, or do I want the other pad to push the disk over to the other brake pad? Don't know how to describe it best? Thanks
  16. Sorry for such a stupid question, but what am I looking for on the washers? Eg bent, etc Thanks!
  17. Good call! I'll have to have a go tomorrow, as I have put it out in the shed now. Thanks for all the help everyone, and lets hope I can get it sorted! James
  18. Thanks for all the help Guys! Fitted it without the adapter but there is a problem : As you can see in the photo, the disk does not want to sit straight in the brake. How can I fix this? The only way I can think is fitting spacers which the one end is thicker then the other end. Afraid the photo isn't the best, but you should be able to see what I mean. Any help would be very much appreciated!
  19. I'm sure that the adapter goes the same was as the frame, so it doesn't turn it 90 degrees, I will take the old brake off and have a look. Thanks! Look at the 1st picture on Post 19! Thanks
  20. Yeh 160mm Rotor. Problem is : If you look at the brake currently on the bike, you will see that it the bolts go 90 degrees to the actual brake pads (or where the brake disk goes). On the BB5's the adapter/fixing thing goes inline with the brake pads (or where the brake disk goes). It's like I need a 90 degree adapter or something? Thanks I didn't explain it very well so here are some photos : Picture 1) I am holding it as it would be mounted onto the frame. As you can see the gap for the disk brake doesn't line up. Picture 2) This is how it should look when fitted to the bike (or similar). It is like I need a 90 degree adapter? Does this help explain? Thanks
  21. Brakes come today. Do I need a adapter or something to make them fit? I have included photos of the cheap disk brake which I am taking off, and the new brakes with their fixing methods.
  22. Anyone got any advice for setting up BB5's? Thanks
