  1. Thanks Rockman, very useful. I have just bought some Jagwire Basic brake cables. How do I know what type of actual cable they use so I know what tool to cut them with? Thanks
  2. Oh, I forgot..... :$ Would I need to leave the cable longer than the cover? Are brake cables easy to cut down? Thanks
  3. When you cut down the brake cable, can you just slip the protective cover off, cut down the actual cable and cut down the cover and it would still work fine? Thanks
  4. Just looked on eBay for the Odyssey cable and I have found about 10, but none of them say a length?! Any suggestions? Thanks!
  5. Thanks. What is a rough size for a Mod Bike? Thanks
  6. Just picked up some 2nd hand BB5, It says they come with adapters to fit a 160mm Rotar, which my bike has (160mm Rotar). How do I fit them and set them up? Also, where is the best place to get a rear brake cable? What size/length or can you cut it too length? Thanks
  7. Would I need a new rotar? Thanks
  8. Hi Guys, I have just bought a bike and the rear disk brake is rubbish. Can't find a make on it, I think it is just a cheap brake. The rear brake doesn't work hardly at all. It isn't anything special (the brake), but it should at least work. I have tried and tried to set it up well, but I can't seem to. I would try and buy new pads to see if that improved it but I can't find any which looks like they would fit. How do I adjust the brake so it performs well? (If that is even possible). If I hold both brakes in, I can rock on the front, but can't go on the back wheel as the back brake won't hold it, that is how bad it is. Also, does anyone know of a cheap but decent brake? Thanks James
  9. Looks nice I would get a different colour rim tape though, as Andee and Luke said BTW, I have just validated you, so you can put some photos up in the Bike Pictures section! Thanks,
  10. They do look very similar, but if you look at two small holes between every big hole, on the Ebay one you can see that they are in a slightly different position to the ones you posted in the link. I doubt it makes any difference, but they aren't exactly the same. Thanks,
  11. Finally.......I have bought a Trials Bike! Wahoo......Can't wait! :D

  12. Hi Guys, I have just seen this bike for sale. It doesn't have much information about it, but I can go and see it. It is at an auction. It is a Scott Nitrous. What are the general views on this bike? I have included a picture of it. Can anybody tell me the model and the year? When I go too see it is there anything I should look for? Finally, what do these tend to go for? Thanks
  13. Which would you recommend out of a Onza T-Pro (I haven't found one yet but just say a standard 2nd hand one) or a Zona Zip? The Zona Zip has the following : - Zona Zip aluminium frame in silver - Onza Muscleman cranks with bashguard - Onza Hog rims - Magura HS33 hydraulic rim brakes - Onza forks - Onza Creepy Crawler sticky tyres It also has a Echo brake booster Thanks
  14. Yes it is!!! Thanks a lot. It is the 2009 model. What are people's views on them? Thanks
  15. This is the closest I have found so far : http://reviews.mtbr.com/blog/kona-coilair-supreme-review/ But the one I was riding had a different front suspension? Cheers
  16. The rear suspension didn't have a spring showing. The bike looked a bit like this: http://www.sunsetmtb.co.uk/shop/index.php?product_id=1548&category_id=127 That might be the actual model but maybe a different year? I don't think it is as the front suspension is a Fox 32 Float RL 150mm when the Bike I was riding has Fifty Five written on the suspension???? Cheers
  17. Hi Guys, I went to Switzerland on Holiday and went Mountain Biking. It was fantastic. I would like to know what model I was riding. I don't have any pictures so I will only be able to describe it : It was a Kona. It was Red + White + Black. It has contour line graphics on the frame. It had both a front and rear suspension. The front suspension had Fifty Five on it and the Rear Suspension is Fox 2 (Or something similar)? It has the magic link. It has 8 (not exactly sure) gears on the right and 2 gears on the left. It has dual disk brakes. The 15" frame model has a straight top tube on the frame but the sizes above have a curved top tube. The brakes were the opposite way around to over here in the UK. Right = Rear Brake, Left = Front Brake Any suggestions? Thanks James
  18. Thanks Guys but what is a freewheel? Thanks
  19. Thanks for all the advice Guys. What is a free wheel? Does it come as standard on the Pro? Would a HS33 fit straight on the Bird? Thanks I'm watching that, I might be interested in it!
  20. Thanks guys. So is there any other differences except the brakes? Thanks
  21. Hi Guys, Which would be best for a beginner? The only main difference I can see is that the T-Bird has 'V' back brakes whereas the T-Pro has disk brakes. Is there any main differences? If I got a T-Bird, would it be easy to change the 'V' brake to a HS33 or a disk brake? What are 'V' brakes like? Thanks a lot, James
  22. Hi Guys, I ordered a screw from Tarty Bikes about 2 weeks ago and I still haven't recieved it! I tried to PM Adam on here but I can't! Any suggestions? Thanks James
