  1. some nice looking products there, you need to sort the images out! resize them it takes a long long time to load.
  2. as said, not much to maintain, I have checked pedals every ride (and every 30 mins on first ride) same with cranks, over all blots I check before every ride (don't want the handle bars slipping as I'm perched over a drop) and the chain needed tightening once (after first hour) and never been touched since.(basicaly followed tarty bikes guide so ) Will have a look at that, might be the trick! and a set a month! that's not good I'm only on labourers wage lmao, DOH!
  3. Just been playing about in the garden, m chain tug has bent something mega so I gave it a few gentle taps back in place and was good for about an hour, had a quick look (while having a fag brake) its bent proper bad now and its stripped the threads, I think its an ally bit of metal so I guess that's why but just proper fu**ed me off, are there better ones about or they all eventually going to brake. This is the 3rd thing that's has 'broken' on my bike and its only a week old, I think Onza have been cheap on the build on the lower end models, has anyone else experienced any problems? So far for me: Axel nut washers snapped, Brake leaver bold 'fell' off and now the chain tugs, what's next!
  4. Where are the kids on the bikes with no seats lol! I went to skipton about half hour ago and couldn't see them anywhere, and when I asked someone they gave me a right dirty look lmao "seen any bikes with no seats?" response = "..... " anyway if anyone can get back before tonight I'm still up for going out
  5. there is a lot of advice here, go back and read from the start of the thred, and just a personal note to add, if you like it buy it, I was looking at 3 bikes and bought the one I liked the most, it might not have had the best brakes in the world but I can buy upgrades as I get better, same with other parts.
  6. Ok, so I have been playing with my bike for nearly a week now, every time I try get on my back wheel the bike slips, I was given some tar (cheers pogo) and I was ok for a little bit but now it slips again even with tar on the rim, so is there a better way to set up, or better pads? Or am i best just saving some monies and getting some maggies? Also: It has been pointed out to me that the cranks have a little bit of play and was told its the freewheel that's crap/could be better, now being new to all this there are about 8 freewheels to pick from... which is best for a mod bike, any better than others? and to further my dumbness, the freewheel is the part that goes on the rear hub? and clicks when you coast? the front cog only turns with the pedals? (excuse my thickness)
  7. Count me in that one, I'll get practecing(sp) lol
  8. Sweet, where about in B'ford you go? also I can only just balance so forgive my crapyness I don't have a mobile so would have to arrange place and time?
  9. Been mulling this over and got a few more ideas but first, does the device show in the 'Device Manager'? also, on the xp system do you have SP3 installed? and what version of windows 7 do you have? (some version of windows 7 stop certain 'normal' functions unless you pay more)
  10. I added you to msn? my mum said I can start making a 'trials play area' as she says lol when I get a bit better but doesn't want loads of stuff in the garden in-case I get bored in a month cos I'm still crap lol. I did find that 'trials' park, its not very good (if its the one I was looking for) its 3 stones and a log, id rather go down the garden lol. any-ways other than a lil' bump wanted to no if anyone was riding B'ford tonight? The Mrs has gone home so got evening to my self, YEY! I no short notice like but just asking.
  11. Ok kinda get what your trying to do, have your made sure you hard drives are set the master and slave? and there in the right order on the ide cable? also check in the bios as to what's being red (this way you don't have wait to make it load and login before you see if it doesn't work)
  12. Cheers, took me a little longer than 5 mins lol, and its what I wanted to do when I left school so many years ago, anyway if you want to use that design or need help in doing it just give us a shout. (also anyone wanting a website design or code done very cheap.. message me )
  13. Its the old Led mine at the back of my house (Crosshills) its kinda hard to explain but look at this little map (thanks Google)
  14. I have been looking all over the area and cant find no park maybe not looking in the right place, but for now I have found this: My new training ground lol. Upload doesn't work nor post image so click me!!! There use to be a 'crew' that hung out at the co-op but it seams when my bike arrived they all vanished (probably to the park which I cant find lol) Edit: Fixing links
  15. Ok, my bike has the stock v brake and today when I was trying to get my bike on the back wheel it kept slipping like hell, the cables have been tinkered with so it's only a few mm away from the rim and a nice squeeze stops me dead but when I try ge my first pedalup started it just slips. I am thinking about buying a good hydrolic rim for the rear but I'm not sure about echo's 'version' of the hs33 it's a few quid cheaper and I love the look of the red one (will match my other red buts lol) but is it a cop out? Is there a reason 90% of folk use hs33 and not echo? Also any hints or ideas on a good but fairly cheap front hydrolic caliper for disc? Got a cable for now but might aswell upgrade at some point lol.
  16. Hello mate, I dunno how to PM so thought id comment,

I hear you ride in Crosshills? I'm new (total newbie) to trials and wouldn't mind riding with someone local?

  17. how the hell do you pm! (cant see no button so I'm being a n00b! lol)
  18. Sounds good, there's a trials park that the one near the doctors/school? because my dad said something about it but I dismissed it (hes a crazy ol' fool lol) I'll pop along for sure. yeah i guess, I didn't mean it to come across like that 'snobbery' just wasn't sure lol, but by the sounds of it there's a few peeps round my area into it
  19. I have to agree that the site isn't fantastic but its does its job, but your no web designer your a good trials rider instead! like the site and content too. Have you ever heard of wordpress? they give a source for a CMS blog style, or you could just design something like: Very simple html and basic stuff. (granted its not brilliant but I just cobble it up in paint)
  20. I would but I cant even do a small bunny hop, everyone else will be jumping up walls lol, I'd feel like a right pleb lmao, ill just play in my garden till I get better than head to the town
  21. At the moment the driveway and the old led mine behind my house, it's an ace spot to play about on so will get my balance dialed and try some pedal ups soon lol
  22. Hey so I have had my bike a few days now and I do little stuff, which is good for me (I fell like have made progress) but the lad who I did a bit of nocking about out gets bored cos I'm so sh** and he's kinda good, just wondering if there's any lads as crap as me (just starting out) that I kick about with? I ride for a few hours around 5ish every-night. I only ask as it does get a little boring on your own, and maybe looking at someone else can pick stuff up?
  23. Yeah my sister boyfriend is a moto trials rider and did push iron trials years back, showed me what its meant to look like lol, I was way surprised how far back I need to be. I am deffo improving in just a few days and another bonus I found a super spot to play, has some small and large gaps, proper nat' trials sections, some man made streety style sections and loads more, I think a load of MTB hang out there, but will find out tomorrow night (if its a nice day after work)
  24. Well all sorted and been trying to track-stand all day, still not perfect but getting better, I still got no clue what so ever on how to perch on the back wheel or pedal hop, any tips would be greatly appreciated as its starting to do my head in! I can do it by endo-pull back-hop but then the front gets dragged down, and if I try to do it from stand still (like a pedal up) the bike either slams down when I put the back brake on or runs away from me lol.
  25. Lets think?.... hmmmm before on-line viewing and p2p software they were cheap..... so I think it because of these it has driven the price up, and the cinema price too. I'll admit back in the day of Kazzaa I did my fair share to this. Not like it will ever be stopped just don't think its to clever asking for a ip blocker in an forum (just my opinion that's all)
