  2. thanks guys some real sound advice and unlike most things you guys really are consderate to the fact its easy to try big stuff and hurt yourself isitafox.....your right my weight does seem up on the front of the bike, i am not really sure if the bike is really set up for a tall rider and i am riding it as i bought it. hoping to meet up with a few guys on friday hopfully they will be able to see what needs to be changed i am thinking higher bars. another question.....why would the chain slip? had it happen yesterday and my god a pedal to the shins hurts. also what size rear sprocket would i want to be learning with on my onza hitman? cheers james

  7. hey hey, i have just started trials and so far i can trackstand on the flat and put my front wheel wherever i please be it on top of a low wall or on the side of a high wall, What should i be learning/attempting next? i can just about hop on the back wheel off a wall but then i lose balance and the front drops like a lead ballon. any advice welcomed cheers james

  9. If i was to take my bike out in the middle of bristol i would be in the clink in no time saying that my old bultaco would not be the best bike for the job so perhaps i should drop the idea of having ago at "urban moto"
  10. carbon fiber @ £25 is a bargin wonder if they could make me up a bash plate for an old bultaco.

  17. hey its interesting your all mono riders I have been riding trials all my life on the twinshocks and i am also clerk of the course for cheltenham hawks. WWW.hawksmc.org.uk just started bike trials and find it hard with no engine but i am getting there if any one wants to try motorbikes we are holding a trial this weekend any ability welcome and if anyone wants to take a wobbly learner around bristol let me know james

  19. wicked videos, i am trying to learn trials around bristol, seem to have got the track stand sorted, i can get my front wheel on top of bins, benches and walls and hold my balance but thats all i can do. (only been out 4 or 5 times after work, but it gets bloody cold and dark past 5) What should i concentrate on to progress? cheers james

  21. Hey girls and boys I have got my 1st trials bike today and have come to realise that i can do more stuff on my mountian bike then my onza.....! If any one is riding in bristol friday would it be ok to come down and watch and possibly see what i am doing wrong. let me know and if any one ha any tips for a complete newbie let me know cheers Ferryman

    saw your forum about arm pump are the comps really that hard?

    when i can do the basics i will do the odd competition, where do you find out about them? with the motorbikes you just read the trials and MX news and it has all the up coming regs in there.

  23. i ride motorcross and motorbike trials and a bit of downhill. i am lucly enough to work with a Personal trainer whos boyfriend is a very good MX rider (does national champ stuff i think). she Adviced me to warm up before a comp to get the blood flowing (short jog), do plenty of toning exercises on the fore arms and make sure my posture is good as i may be putting more weight then needed through my wrists. she really helped me with the motorcross arm pump and the down hill and i never get it in motorbike trials i will see if i can find her number if you want some propper help.
