  1. they will be on the front rim so if i can get away with out using a grind would be good however if there is a greater performance advantage to the yellows with a grind, il put a grind on.
  2. thinking about going back to front magura on my mod and wondered weather it would be worth getting some heatsink blue pads or heat sink yellows anybody know how the blue pads perform eg hold grip bite weather you need a rim grind or not pad life currently running some heatsink cnc yellows on the rear.
  3. the fluids coming out the bleed hole with the bleed screw in it. i think it may be the seal around it but as its a new lever only a couple of days old ive sent it back to tarty who are going to sort it.
  4. now sorted the problem there was a large amount of air in the system around the slave cylinders. another problem has now arose, after bleeding the system and replacing the bleed screw back and tightening it, the fluid comes straight out. the brake lever is an echo tr 2011, anyone else experience the same problem?
  5. nope both the bleed holes are fine as the bit of fluid that was in the brake came out, also both the pipes are fine. i havent got a clue what could have caused this... :/
  6. not doing anything wrong mate. bleeding with the syringe full off fluid onto the slave cylinders at the bottom and the waste pipe attached to the top of the lever where the bleed screw was.
  7. when trying to bleed my hs 33 with echo tr lever today. put both pipes on with blood etc when i tried pumping the fluid through the system there is resistance against the syringe and the fluid refuses to enter the system. anybody got any ideas as to why?
  8. sorted it now. soaked it in some heavy duty cleanning fluid get everything anything and just pedalled around with the brake on. 5 minutes later the pads and disc were fine. just bedding in now.
  9. while doing a rebleed on my magura the other some of the fluid leaked onto the disc and has contaminated the disc as its stop working now. the brake is an avid bb7. how can i decontaminate the pads back to great performance?
  10. thats the first thing i did after realising there was no grub screw( checking the packing) thinking you might have taken it out incase it came out but there was nothing. i checked everthing.
  11. yer i realised this, obviously the people at tarty didnt. emailed them saying it says on the website it comes with a barbed fitting and grub screw and i haven't received one.
  12. just bought an echo tr brake lever to fit onto my maggura hs 33 2005 brake. tarty sent it without a barbded fitting luckily i had one in the shed. the other problem is that the bleed hole has nothing in it, i bled it thinking it wont come out, came straight out. took the bleed nut off the old magura and put it in there thinking thats the right think today. obviously not. the fluid just comes straight out again. should the echo have come with a bleed nut inserted or not. help.
  13. dont worry mate we'll be organising another ride in a couple of weeks when a few people from leeds i know are down.
  14. im trying to organise a trials ride for hull this coming weekend (12 or 13th of march) which day is best to get as many people riding as possible? there will be people riding from just across the water in barton and possibly scunthorpe meeting at the deep at 11:00-12:00 hope to see some people riding.
  15. yer meeting at the college. pick you up around quarter past 10 ish. that ok?
  16. me and sam are in, meet you there then.
  17. if sams in im guessing im in too as he will need a lift
  18. nothing wrong with me riding, i know a couple of people who have cracked them in the same place. where the top tube meets the bottom trianlge. got it welded and its stayed strong.
  19. if your thinking about buying a zoo frame. go for the older frames pre 2008 as dengs (the person who designs them) designs have become very unreliable. at the moment ive got a zoo lynx frame and withing 6 months it had cracked.with reference to the weight, you definitely feel the difference. i had a onza blade 09 before the zoo and immediately when i got on the zoo you could feel the difference. the bike felt alot more stable and easier to handle on the back wheel. every manoeuvre i did with it seemed 10 times easier.
  20. mine did this the other night while riding in the rain. i just sprayed the freehweel with putoloine chain lube and it worked fine the next day.
  21. dont buy a zoo lynx frame. i had mine 6 months and it cracked where the top tube meets the bottom triangle. i would suggest the onza ice dude. my frame after 6 months of riding.
  22. ive learnt how to sidehop 7 pallets took some time to perfect but can get it most times now.
  23. yer it was a pre built bike by tarty but i basically took it apart to bare frame and forks and started again.
  24. considering im quite a small rider only 5ft 5 i like the length of the stem, the feel of the bike on the back wheel is better with the medium bb and the longer stem and rise. in my opinion a shorter stem may not suite my style of riding and this stem is the prefect stem for me.
  25. im using the echo sl stem which i dont think you can get hold of anymore tarty dont seem to have got them back instock.
