  8. hi guys, i see alot of hubs and wheels for sale on this forum and was just wondering about something, as im in the market for a new wheel/hub, alot of them have two bolts either side of the hub, i understand this is to lock the wheel into the bike, my question is this, i have a mad phase 1.2 which currently has a standard QR skewer holding the wheel in, if i brought a wheel/hub with the bolts would it fit to my bike in the standard drop outs or would i need to buy a conversion kit to make it QR skewer compaitable? hope i made this clear, thanks guys stew
  9. i was exactly the same dude spent many a happy hour watching them throw themselves off cliff, nowadays they are 360ing the same drops, i stumbled across the risse racing site the other day and had a look at the big foot forks they are huge
  10. your right it is the appoclypse, my bad
  11. nice video dude, hope you get back into it i personally like the music choice
  12. haha yeah definatley would be alot of fun the last i remember of that bike was him launching it off a 60ft cliff in utah (i think) in NWD2
  13. try eliminating where the noise is coming from dude, noises are always hard to find on bikes, try spinning the cranks without using the pedals so you can eliminate the pedals at least after that remove the wheel and listen closely to the wheel bearings for any noises and then swap over onto the freewheel, and do the same basically check everything dude, hope it helped,
  14. i can think of one mr josh benders karpiel armegeddeon, 12 inches of front wheel and 13 inches on the rear, linky http://www.btt.com.ar/foto/o/10/85/1085785339_karpiel_de_bender.jpg

    Funny Day

brilliant video dude, the ice at the start was funny i really wanted him to make that bush manual would have been awesome
  16. just read the blog very nice i like the handwriting idea adds a bit more of a personal touch and the roadtrip story was brilliant and im always inspired by brakeless riding keep up the good work
  17. ok thanks i know for next time now, i see your point with the links but all the people had clicked on it before and im sure if i was spam they would have reported it quickly, again i apologise and will form my topics properley from now on
  18. gotcha thanks for that, ill keep my eyes peeled on the for sale section for some bars, thanks for the advice on the wheels, going for another ride today try and learn some more basics before i start moving on to the bigger stuff,
  19. im not sure if its the picture angle but ive just been and had a look they are riser bars i think they dont give a massive rise but they are not flat, i will definatley check some out though, ive got an old set of mavic 321's do you think they would work better than the alex rims on there at the moment?
  20. cheers for the comments guys (some of them anyway) i have been thinking about the single speed option as i see alot of bikes on here are single speed, would riser bars help me? or is it more of a style thing. quick_spider i do apologise howeever i was trying to be a little more creative you see, as most of the things that get posted in the new members chat doesnt get replied to. i am trying to get validated so i can actually join the normal memebers and get a bit more involved in the forum but with topics about wheel building which i know nothing about and a topic abusing a former member for many crimes i dont really feel i can get involved so im trying to be imaginiative with my posts, "she" is quite obviously a bike as the link is pinkbike.com, have you never called your bike she before? how should i label the topic to please you then ? im here to learn so expand your ideas on me please. stew
  21. here she is turned up a few days ago, spent a day sorting it out to ride pulled off all the sram crap and stuck some shimano gear i had lying around on there, been out for a ride today finding it very different to my freeride bike but we shall get there, comments and suggestions welcome http://www.pinkbike.com/photo/6196505/ http://www.pinkbike.com/photo/6196503/
  22. no problems at all dude, glad to help im just starting as well that is the unfortunute thing about this sport its not cheap to get into but its defiantley worth it in the long run, i thought i would suck at trials but i managed to learn a few things then i had to go away for 6 months came back and had to start all over again, but im looking forward to a good summer just gotta find some local riders by me and get going on the steep learning curve,
  23. nice looking frame there dude looking forward to seeing the finished article, them pedals are a really nice colour
  24. two bikes is definatley the way to i have tried to ride a long distance on a trials bike and its not a good idea, the only problem with having a disc on the front especially while learning is you have a tendancy to slip off things and could possibly damage or even snap the rotor just something to bear in mind, my phase is in the post cant wait to get out on it,
  25. i mainly listen to metal when im riding gets me pumped up as well as any song that features in biking movies into the follow me soundtrack at the moment, that always gets me in the mood for riding,
