  4. Hi, Havent really just signed up, signed up a few days ago but i thought its time to post in here! im building up a new bike, but finding it a pain as i've got bits and bobs for the bike hopefuly the bike will be ready before summer! about me - i live in southend hence the user name returning to trials after a long break hopeing to start riding and get out on a few big rides this summer
  5. stil got that free wheel?

  6. Still got that free wheel up for sale?!

  7. Your best bet would be to buy second hand, that way if you find out that you dont have the time to ride or another reason thats prohibiting you from riding then if you sell it you will get your money back as it wouldnt have lost a great deal of money unlike buying a new bike! if your wandering what you would like i.e. a mod or a stock it most commonly comes down to size, if you are rather tall e.g. 6ft something you may find it easier to manouever a stock (26") where as if your four ft something, you may find it easier to work with a mod (20" front wheel 19" rear wheel! hope this has helped..
  8. but sod's law is that i set it up wrong aha hmm tough descision im tempted to get a bb5 on the rear.. cheers for the replys
  9. im building up a mod on a budget, but i need some help; i've been told the bb7's new design is split into two parts, so for trials this isnt good as there is alot more flex in the caliper but the bb5 isnt divided into two parts so there wont be any flex. Im contemplating get a 203mm cable disc but what one should i go for? ive had a bb5 and it was perfect, and i've had a bb7 and it was shocking in comparison to other peoples disc's... whats peoples opinions? should i just wait and buy a hope mono?
  10. Never too old! just the ground starts to hurt alittle bit more
  11. Weight isnt a matter, its all technique! the only people that will notice that the weight is a help is people that have been in the game for ages! people who start on a light bike wont be able to manual straight away because its light.. rant over. And yeah, back to the question, i found leaning you bum over the rear end that it was inline with the axle helps, it doesnt matter if your front wheel is two feet high or two inches, aslong as your front wheel is up and your keeping the bike under control it doesnt matter.. manuals take hours and hours of practice! good luck!
