  2. Can you not borrow a grinder? Takes a minute once your set up
  3. Am i wrong to like it? Lol i irde mod, and my bike is currently polished naked frame, i was wanting a sunburst kind of orange from day 1 before i knew who the hell danny macaskill was lol, being in the sport more than 24 hours i now know all about him, dont worry, but i was thinking blacking all wheels and hubs, i arent going to gwt looked at as being a wannabe am i? As its mod and not street style stock size-ish You all got me paranoid now lol
  4. JD lubricity has to be one of the best made up words ive seen lol! Good times, ive just water bled my brakes but with some machine cutting fluid in the mix, seems ok, brakes were done with water prior to that, ans spat out some nasty looking black solids! Any ideas??
  5. He turned that stupid audience around! Well done joe! Hes got plenty more to show them, come on!!!
  6. So is there a system and torque settings to fitting spokes?
  7. Na theyre pretty good, you can see a sag in the top of the chain, ive ordered sum small splitters, ( through work haha) so will sort it and try and get that 45 degree angle that has been mentioned, and go from there
  8. This has all really helped, just the bend to po up to un weight the bike is sometimes causing a loss in balance, new stem helped too Thanks lads
  9. If everyone keeps laughing like this, this waste of internet bytes will become a sticky lol, what is it with the cornwall folk lately and showing what tack theyve bought lol
  10. here you go, have you got a better camera? i couldn't go round spokes because of pixelation etc, so theres plants growing out of your rims 30,000 feet up unfortunately, while since i mucked about on there, good to get my head around again, better pic better results mate. i am actually crying laughing here! how long since ive had sleep? jesus 24hours too long man, sky frame not the blue thing above our heads! haha! i need a rum
  11. im on it...im guessing you want blue sky?
  12. second video 3mins in big gap hop to back wheel, beautiful!
  13. looks good, keep a look out for it, need more mod videos about, and the technique breakdown stuff looks good too
  14. ive also been doing that from time to time, like pulling too much on bars so hanging back and arms straight, not good, links in with what others have said by trying to keep arms separate of body to maintain balance and still create the hop, thanks )
  15. Hahaha! Was there? Jesus, the camera crew should of panned back abit more to appreciate that, that must of been what it was
  16. Ive got magura yellows on atm, with hs 33 about to bleed with water/ cutting fluid see if that can improve hold, mines on a really old grind that i bought it with, so i might have to renew that but the hold has improved purely by putting the yellows on i dont know if theres a softer one but i like them,
  17. They're the details i was after, brilliant lads cheers! I love tf!
  18. I have awall about 2 foot thats perfect to get the wheel on then you can get settled then start hopping more easily, without the pedal problem and without all the problems rocking can cause, get more learning time really, picnic benches or outdoor seatings all good for it too
  19. Awwww no, dont say ive made a school boy error, i shot the old chain in the bin and threw the other one on to get back on the trails, what an idiot, is there a way to work out how tight to have the chain? So i can work it out myself
  20. Is this as simple as its the wrong chain? I was out on my XC just started a trail and boom, the chain went, luckily i could get to a road and coasted to the onsite bike shop, and bought an sram 9 speed chain, i fitted and got on with the trail, but the small set was unusable over anything slightly rough. Im useless with setting gears, im just learning all the setting up now as ive never had a bike with more than one front crank before,
  21. Ive started a thread nearlly identical in the beginners section called rear wheel hopping, give that a look, some good lads coming in with some useful little tips, i was so close it was the tiny details i was missing, hope it helps
