  2. Awwww nice find with the link, as if they never showed on bgt again! Saving the best till last me thinks! Last two weeks hes been shown in the 'next week' section!
  3. Thanks all, all great help, especially that hips note, i think thats what is unsettling my balance, so its kind of arms for balance and position and seaparate your body to unweight it all? Brilliant, i am wanting to get the pedal kicks going shortly and thought these were the way to get to them?
  4. On sing if you can stavey soloman was singing son of a preacher man with i think 4 trials riders around her, some awesome airtime for the sport i thought, especially if it hammers it home tonight with bgt showing some aswell, who were they, 3 stock bikes and a mod, they had the crowd going aswell, as you can imagine
  5. Im an electrician, in industry, so the job is varied and has made me pretty handy on the mechanical side of things too, welding, hydraulics and the like, i work early shifts and late shifts perfect for getting some time with the bike with all the workshop at my disposal! A good supply of pallets for practise too!
  6. Hi all, im getting pretty frustrated now, ive watched every demo the internet can throw at me and given it some time, but i dont seem to be progressing, there is a few things i need to do to the back brake to get it how i want it, but i still arent happy with my progress in rear wheels hops. Im riding a mod meta 360 im new to push iron trials also, so trying to dial the basics, ive posted threads about me feeling too over the front on my bike, so i im on with getting the original length and size stem for it, but that aside, rear wheel hops seem to be not getting any better. On my best try ive had about 15 hops on the back, but there wasnt much rhythm and they were rushed, ive learnt that its not a height competition and i still seem to be trying to put it into orbit, i dont know/ cant find a comfortable position when doing them, any quick tricks to figure it? Or what shape to be in? I also get this cramp like ache after doing them in my foot, im guessing thats from tensing my toes or feet during them? I need to sort that somehow too, andive been trying to do them starting by lifting my front onto a small wall and then pulling off that once settled, I didnt want to make this thread, but its cracking me up, i normally do ok at picking things up. Thanks people.
  7. Ahhh i was beaten too! Looks like hes made his show funny-ish, for entertainment, good luck to the lad! Next week it will be on, so being late to the pub will be worthwhile next weekend lol
  8. Ello mate, didnt manage to get back to the thread yet? Im from middlesbrough mate, where do u live?

  9. I grind on the up right, as if im cutting through my wheel, keeps disk sharp and get a good grind still, and grinding accross face so grind lines go the grippy way! Lol
  10. I can see me running a cutting fluid bath for my maggies next week at work! Thanks, wouldlove a bit more bite on my hs33, yea its red till its goes 3:1 ish then goes white? 1:1 sounds good, thanks!
  11. Whats machine tool suds? Cutting fluid? The water soluble white stuff? Got gallons of that at work, would be nice to know theres some oil in there for piece of mind, again doesnt feel kosher to me either putting neat water in, back on point though, mineral oil can really attack some types of seals, i recently tried in my hopes and all the seals lost rigidity and stretched, as if theyre latex seals? Ive heard maggie seals are pretty particular to what they drink too
  12. I was out today and improved slightly with the back hops, i know what you mean there, and yea its a short wheelbase isnt it, if anything i feel asif i want the bars up and out more, like pictured on that link i left, And i live just outside of middlesbrough matey, how about you?
  13. What a nightmare! Everyone could do without the unexpected spends like that, just when uve been inspired aswell! Makes ita need! Repaired and a new is probably the best option, ally welder anywhere on here for you?????
  14. Right i bought this at a steal so i didnt study details at the time as its just something for me to start out on and get into trials, so this is the best vitals ive got, its a: - meta 360cc - Bottom Bracket TCS 68*128mm, dont quite understand what that measurement is, - seems to be originals so they are : TCS 370mm ISO disc w/steel Steerer tube Mine has a try all stem that measures around 150mm from back of handlebar bracket to centre of stem bracket onto steerer tube, didnt know where to measure from for an actual. Going off the picture on the meta website and the original spec, it has a really high stem, so is that bb measurement a high one? Meta 360 pic and vitals And im about 5'7" or 8" Thanks for the help so far! Agreed, but also bikes ive had in the past ive instantly been able to trackstand with very little movement, i dont know if its the culture change of the totally different geo, like maybe i used to subconciously use the frame and seat between my legs to make adjustments and help to centre myself?
  15. Its atop site that ive just found myself, good idea to post in here, i also flick through a video upload another top member posted on here early last week, it breaks it down into phases, once you got the first lot down, move to the next ones etc, really really worth a look, and another and another Mastering the art of trials by ryan leech
  16. ST orange, and black or anthracite everything else, will look awesome in the sun for the summer!
  17. Nice! Keep it going, sort brakes for next bike and keep this brakeless to force you to carry on that learning curve that your on,
  18. Struggling on last few days with getting some basics down, and ive noticed im struggling with silly things like trackstands on my mod, which i know i can do to a decent standard from moto trials and just being around bikes all my life, also hopping on the back wheel or learning to, i feel too on top of the bars, how do i know if the stem handlebar combo is too long for me, im only a short ar*e but i just feel like im loaded allover the front Long story short, stem handlebar combo help ) is there some sort of move or shape i can make that gives a vague idea of whether or not im in the right position.
  19. Congratulations supafly, hope all is well with u all. Can the baby ride yet then?
  20. Thanks man, il have to upload the bike ive bought second hand to start out on
  21. I have a saracen x-ile dj bike sat in the garage, ok for seeing what your going to like, i suppose? Itll be going up on ebay soon enough, message me if yor interested
  22. Im new to this trials without and engine stuff, but always been around cycling and 2 wheels of some kind, this seems to be the game more about feel than all the other takes on riding, that ive found. Ive trauled the internet looking for ideas and or graphs or gauges of what you need for your height or style to choose the correct gear. Like choosing a stem? How do you know its right? Is thee a basic guideline? Is there something i can do or cant do that will tell me its too long or the bikes wrong for me, or could be better? Im lost in the variables, i seen a post somewhere else of someone saying they want smething longer (frame) how do they know that? Thanks people.
