  1. I would prefer gym or athletics than this crap.

Hey clerictgm, why do you feel the need to be a dick on here to every style other than yours on here?

We ride bikes without seat hopping onto walls and rocks. You can't get up on your high horse. Do you even know how most people in the public and biking world think of trials riding? They think we're a bunch of twats.

    Is that hypocrisy I smell?

  2. My friend took a bike to a local shop for the to helicoil the mounts. The guy there instead of loosening the booster and taking it off , what did he do?

HE GRINDED THE BLOODY THING OFF!

Different shop , I bought a mtb just for cycling around and the off bit of offroad , they had messed up the alignment building it s the chain kept getting twisted and caught on itself I took it to them many they lectured me for twenty minutes saying it had been "abused" and claiming the rims were bent and the forks were bent too.

I doubt it unless they were made of cheese as I'd had it a day and cycled it 5 miles on pavement ...

  3. YES!!! Put them on a flat surface and apply as much force as possible pushing directly downwards on the pad. Once it is in around 5 or six different peices grab some Bostik and stick them back together. Its the sticky property from the glue that makes the pads work better on the perfectly smooth metal rim. The next step in the operation is to make your brake system compatable for your freshly ground pads, simply grind the brake hose in the same way you did the pads; don't bother taking it off of the bike, do it against the frame! A few incisions in the top tube never hurt anybody! Now to compleate the process take the angle grinder and, leaving it turned on, put it down your trousers, reach between your legs and puch it against your anus. Ta-dah!!! You have compleated your first rim grind.

  4. Alright then will try it better now, thanks for the tip! Sorry this bit confused me :" You're just really smooth riding it's really great" Do you mean that Im smooth but my riding isn't that big? Or..? :o And cheers guess thats positive for a almost 4 minute video, glad you like it:) :)

Well normally you see people who ride pretty big but their style is awful and it's not nice to watch whereas it's great watching your videos because although you don't do massive stuff you make it look really good and smooth , it's really refreshing from the normal.

  5. haha cheers man!

Yeah I've tried that before, I just can't do it :o

And what do you mean with "my style"? Just curious:)

I couldn't do it either , found it impossible but I kept trying at a small height and build it up to where I was and in a week after changing I could sidehop 3" higher and improved a lot with pretty much everything. You're just really smooth riding it's really great , one of the only non massive riders whose videos I can watch all the way through! :)

  6. IF you do, pleaseee don't edit it so annoying as this video! The riding was huge but the edit was quite horrible :S

Dude the edit was great! What TGS should be , atleast for the powerhouses.

More videos need rock/punk/metal and less of the techno stuff >_<

  7. Get some muscle. Gaylight is not an option.

I'm 14 , 5'8 and 147 pounds. I work out a fair bit and in my opinion am in pretty decent shape.

I have a spare frame lying around I want to experiment with , my normal ride is 10.5Kg.

  8. I've actually found my cousts to be better than the adm's I'm currently running in terms of hold, but the bite on the adm's were great, at first. Think a new grind should sort bite and hold though as mines fairly dead.

    Chamfer them (A)

Get some Trialtech pads, absolutely amazing and pretty cheap as well.

Trialtechs in a TNN backing is an awesome combination!

  9. Yes more pressure because less surface, but also less friction because of less surface, it's why I ask if there is a notable difference

I tried it withs few pads I found that the hold would increase until a point at which there wasn't enough friction for the brake to bite properly.

I found on my setup it made it work much much better. Hope that helps

I'd stick with the brake and just change to some mono trial pads and a new disc

Already using hope pads and had that rotor to until I bent it. I just prefer the way an avid feels on the front and I've had nothing but problems with echo brake and this one seeps at the calliper so it contaminates itself.

  10. Have you noticed a real difference with the angled rear pads (less surface) ?

Well my theory was that there would be more pressure in less space and give better hold , the brake seem much much more consistent through the grind , gives great bite and hold and works perfectly in the wet, as good as most pads in the dry!

  11. front brake, pads moving slightly? happens on the hopes so could happen on the tr. mine doesnt do it though...

I don't think that's it I used to get tht on my hope and it was a clanking noise this is slightly similar but I don't think that's it as the pads backing is sanded and used them before with no problems :S

Tightened the topcap to make sure the forks not moving freely?

Yup done that and regreased everything too.

I have a feeling it might be to do with the forks themselves or the hub/spokes

  12. looking nice, how do the sl forks feel?

looking at another echo 24 is making me jelous as hell, will have mine together by the end of next week.............hopefully

Pretty bad , they flex so much and that's with a front brake that doesn't stop the bike even when rolling! Going to buy some urbans or trialtechs soon nd put a BB7 on them.
