Might not agree with me mate but I think you should ride brakeless for a while.
-
Lol that's all part of being a retailer, oh and the fact that they are probly doubling their money
Oh and what do you get for arse licking tarty ? Free stickers ?
Mate you seem to be the only person here who has a problem with Tarty , they are awesome guys and accusing them of being "thieving c*nts " is a real good way to make people not like you in the trials world considering as they are if not the , one of the best retailers in the hobby and in my experience the best retailer I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with out of any field.

You can put other wheels on yes but you will only be able to use 20" ones.
Some higher end mod bikes (20 inch) have a 19" rim on the back to allow for a bigger tyre that gives better bounce while still falling within competition rules.
You can not put this type of rim/wheel on your bike but there are quite a few options available if you want to upgrade though still using 20" rims and tyres.
Hope that helps

So I'll give you some background:
A few months ago , I think in April I purchased a Hope Evo II disk brake for my Echo Lite 2011 to replace the standard Echo TRs.
At first , after the brake had bedded in the performance was good , powerful , good modulation and impressive hold but then a while ago before a ride I was checking the bike over and when I pulled the brake the lever came in much farther than normal and with every pull it came further. Basically the fluid had leaked out from the end of the hose on the caliper at the bolt and I suspect from the pistons. I have never bashed it as it is too far back to hit with my foot , I sidehop to the right and had no memorable bails.
So last week I got round to putting it into my local shop to get bled and looked over , I got it out today and it felt a bit odd and the bite point was very far in with the bpa off , I didn't really think about it and assumed I had forgotten how it felt but after about maybe 45 minutes and no change I was concerned and while not on the bike rocked it forward and back and the same happened as before.
This really shouldn't be happening on a brake worth £150 pound. Has anybody had similar problems or any idea as to a likely cause?
For the advice though , as I have been having massive problems with rear disks I have been thinking about selling the frame and buying something with 4 bolt mounts , any suggestions?
Mainly want something quite strong while still light , preferably quite a long wheelbase.
Cheers

Echo DD 11 , would be buying the BB . Not really sire what frame to get now, want something that will fit a hs33 , and good geo for tgs while still cheapish.
-
I'm thinking of building a new mod and I want the frame to be something relatively good while still being cheap (ish ) and more suited to TGS and being quite strong .
I'm thinking about the Onza Blade 2010 , anybody know how they ride or feel?
Probably going to be run with ...
Echo SL headset
Echo Urban (4 bolt)
Trialtech Sport Lite ISIS BB
Echo SL 108 freewheel
Trialtech Sport forged cranks (165mm ISIS)
Echo TR front rim
Echo TR hub (Sapim silver spokes)
Kenda unboxed tube
Maxxis creepy crawler
Echo TR 19"
TryAll H 116 hub w/h Tryall Sprocket
Maxxis creepy crawler 19"
Echo risers
TryAll Stem
Dual HS33 ( TNN LGM front & BE-GREEN rear)
So hopefully a decent spec , anybody see problems with that ?
Cheers

I normally just put it in dry

Damn , my style is quite reliant on the back wheel so I need a grippy tyre , any suggestions as too a good one that's relatively light?
-
I got mine from crc
What do they ride like? Really need a change from kinetics , weigh a ton and hardly any grip.
-
Joe where did you get your tyres from ? I think I'll follow your suggestion?
-
Ironic much.
You don't like autotune but listen to you me at 6, BFMV Metallica and a day to remember? LOLZ.
Made a few bad examples there , I don't mind their music but my preference is more raw , although some of what I listen to is more edited than others but then what I said was what I listen to when riding and my preferences of music.
About BFMV , is it just me or does anybody think anything of theres after The Poison is quite a downgrade ?
*Edit: just listened to YMAS again , wow I'm not liking it , only decent song imo is Time is money and only because of Winston....
Another edit...
By autotoned I meant that crap were the guy sounds like he is singing into a fan and basically the style of chart stuff.
-
But since its more manuvriable dosent that mean its better. Is there anything that is harder to do on a 24 than the 26 ?.
Not necessarily , it depends on your style and how you set up the bike.
-
Parkway Drive , As I lay Dying , A day to Remember , I killed the Prom Queen , Metalica , Bullet for my Valentine , You Me at Six , Sum 41 , Rise Against .
Mostly Metal/core and punk/emo rock . Not into this techo stuff at all , sounds like porn for robots in my opinion..
*or autotoned music , completely raw is my thing , more emotion behind it imo*

If the bike is stock spec the only difference really is 24-26? Not really much of a difference to be honest just slightly more maneuverable on the 24.

First time I looked I thought they were the proto TNN forks :$

My post actually wasn´t based on what you said, but on the massive bump you did without even saying something new or usefull.
Why is it on every forum I use people are so bloody anal about "necroposts" , we've all done it at some point by accident . Get over it , it's a forum ...for talking and sharing ideas , who gives a damn when they post it?
*Also , what did you expect? You can't really add much onto it ...*

Right so I'm getting my old YaaBaa frame back! And thanks to my awesome tech/design & manufacture teacher at my school , I will be taking it in to do some work on at a lunch sometime. Basically I'm going to try and shave down as much weight as possible from the frame as it is a bit heavy ( 1.8kg iirc) , anybody have any suggestions of areas to save some weight? I have some plans at the moment but would be interested to see what ideas people can think off.
Afterwards I will be spraying the frame black , build it with silver/black parts and put blue koxx trades on. Pics will be up when the project is complete (not for a while). Thanks

Most of the move is in your hips and shoulders , an easy way to do it is to just as you kick turn your head in the direction you want to spin , raise you knees for height (if you want it) and then plaint back down . If you want to fakie out most of that comes from pulling your hips back . If it helps I could get a clip of my technique for you ?
-
They look exactly the same as the onza bird 2010 forks but with V- mounts and 24 sizing? IIRC
-
Electrical tape around the cyclinders = job done

Sorry to butt in, but how do you find your 24" compared to mod/ stock?
I know its off topic, but seeing as you have one and it saves me making a new thread for such a small question I thought I'd ask :$
Not me you asked but I'll give my 2cents....
I like mine , I have an Echo trial and it's nice , amazing frame . In general they are fun to ride (24s) very easy for rolling moves like pedal ups , hooks , up to fronts ect but until you have the sidehop technique perfected on it are a nightmare to try. I've just rebuild my mod again due to lots of problems with wheels so I'll be able to see how they compare properly. Awesome to ride but maybe not quite as good as a well set up mod but then my 24 isn't set up how I would like it

Also you very very rarly hear of Onza's snapping cracking etc......
Onza zoot anybody ....
-
its really tight
Grease the tip, push it in
hehe
