  1. Sorry but thats just not true.

I can't stop watching this video!

Admitedly I haven't been on the forum nearly as long as you but from my time on here I never have seen any.

On topic though I loved the video , as he's done what the title says and got creative (Y)

  2. Agree with the point on the bars my riding is miles smoother running rage bars than when I used Echo's , for loosening up how about doing stuff like stretches and working on flexibility , I do remember hearing somebody say that a few comp riders do not quite yoga but similar to get more flexible , just a thought.

  3. oh my god.. I ride long enough to know how geo affects on riding. And I don't need to "having a hop on friends bike with high BB" because before marino I rode 24 "pure trials" bike with brakes. I know what is good geometry you said? Good for what? I said only that I hate stick frames with high BB and high stems and all this comp-like shit enhanced only to do things on rear wheel, because for me it doesn't feels like bicycle.

Dude you seem to have some massive chip on you're shoulder about TGS riding , you're constantly complaining about it or making remarks in nearly every thread I see you've posted in , give it a rest. A large portion of the people on here ride TGS and none of them go around saying shit about street.

Side note too , TGS frames aren't "stick frames" as you call them that would be a "comp frame" if you're going to start saying only certain frames can ride certain styles , I've seen more comp riders with higher stems than on bikes ran by people who purely ride tgs. We ride bikes for fun jumping over and onto stuff , it's a hobby we do for fun ,stop bitching and just ride.

  4. Discs are less likely to get covered in water/crap when riding natty and you would be able to run thinner/lighter rims with discs and rim grinding would become unnecessary.

I'd just like to say here and this is no insult to you but any how:

Before I bought my first double disk bike I was told things like " they are more reliable than magura's" and that they " worked better in the wet and for natural/comp riding".

I have concluded that isn't quite true. As they contaminate so easily (depends on pad) that I couldn't ride in the wet because oil off the roads and pavements would get all over the brake. And I even had it a few times riding natural where there was water. My own opinion but I do not like rear disk.

Also it's no secret that those who grind their rims every month or so inevitably reduce the life of the rim.

I've had an Echo rim for over 14 months , I am a pretty rough rider who runs relatively low psi. The rim has been grinded 25+ times. Any decent rim will be bashed to death long before it is worn out from grinding

  5. I personally don't enjoy comp style riding since as soon as tape goes down my riding goes to crap , I don't really find it boring as I'm not really mad on rocks and natural. For me anyway TGS is about going big and power moves and getting personal bests and pushing myself to get new heights , whereas to me comp and natural riding is more about being smooth and a more methodical , analytical approach to trials.

I think it's just a mindset sort of thing and how you look/ think about things.

Others may not agree but that's how I see it

  6. 50 or 100 additional grams are F#@$ING CRAZY SHIT that cause heart attack to weightwinners.

If you stripped thread in your frame - it's not a big problem.

    Random picture of frame....

Anyway I've just stripped my echo the other day just from having a very tempermental clamp set up that the slaves move in unless being extremely tight , and echo don't really have the best threads I've come across

  7. Right so I feel like a bit of an idiot right now but I need to remove my front wheel but when i can take off one bolt or loosen it but when I get found to the other side when I try and remove it , the by on the other side is screwed in/out. I'be never had this before in 4 years of riding , any help?

  8. Worst tyres ever.

You'd be better off using just bare tubes to be honest , have barely any grip , slip like mad on every surface and the slightest bit of moisture will make it feel like your on an ice rink , awful bounce and I had about 6 pinch flats in about a week with a kenda dh tube ... that's pretty hard. Maxxis all the way

  9. Haha yeah how much did you save? :)

And I'm pretty tempted to cut away some of the knobs on the tyre? :)

Try using a stanley or modeling knife to cut off every second nob and smooth it down with a file , can even make the tyre more grippy and bouncy:)

  10. Just got all the parts for this and finished bulding this up , loving it so far

Built up from Trialtech , Echo and Tryall parts , the orange is going to be stripped soon and replaced by lime green colour , the stem will be polished up a but more too

  11. Because discs are better in every way, especially for the type of riding a Skye is suited to. In addition to that it has much improved aesthetics. Anyway the full-build Fourplay bikes have never had 4 bolt mounts so what's the big deal?

More prone to damage , less suitable for right footed riders , easily contaminated ,spoke flex , don't hold as well on square edges , heavier so not quite better in every way and incase you haven't noticed they don't tend to work very well on the rear of 24/26" bikes in a tgs setup. It's not better in every way , it's better in some aspects , hs33/ v's are better at others. It's all personal opinion.

  12. I've got an echo tr on my mod and it's better than any hope I've had, you gotta get em bedded in right and set up properly. everyone who rides my bike says my brakes are awesome. ask dann2707

are you using the Echo rotors ? I've found they took much longer to bed in than a Hope rotor
