  1. I'd remove the current paint first if it's painted use nitomors or anodized use caustic soda(sodium hydroxide , aka oven cleaner) and then but down a base or primer and paint over that. If given the option I'd prefer to have it anodized again though , lighter and in my experience harder wearing.

  2. Okay so every time I push down on my bars then release pressure it makes a noise, same when 180 pivot on the front wheel it creeks.

It's driving me metal I can't trust my bike, I'v taken the whole headset apart and cleaned it. I'v taken the bars off and cleaned the stem an bolts applied some grease re assembled, all to no avail. I'm not sure whats doing it, as the bars seem to be sound and I haven't found any cracks in the forks it's definitely not the frame or brake, the crown race seems okay. has anyone else had a similar problem any ideas as to what it could be ?

my set up is try all rage bars, trialtech sport stem, hope headset and echo SL forks.

Check out your forks and hub , mine where and I found out my forks were cracked and my hub was still making the noise and I'm pretty sure it's cracked but I can't find it ,one tryall later and it's fixed.

  3. Thank you for the help to the serious guys. Isitafox you never fail to help haha :) and adam from tarty i did not think you would be the one to be joining in as your representing such a big part in the trials community oh well.

    Cheers guys anyways :)

Well considering as there is a hell of a lot of threads already on this topic and he made a joke to another user's post so really anything to get worked up over.

    Me on the other hand..

  4. Yeah! I get that too! On my bike whenever the chain is moving and I'm not pedaling I keep hearing this clicking from the freewheel area so I always have to cycle all the time:/

But the seaguls ice cream told me that the ball bearing tomato was the fault:///

  5. Tees as in the river tees.

    Not Tee's as in t-shirts.

I was under the impression that Tees Barrage was the mate her was riding with , also what's the barrage part ? Oh well this is embarrasing :$

  6. well the worst one was a 30 foot fall when my mates 33's slipped it was lucky he was wearing his helmet he spent 4 days in hospital with a concushion,

had an other mate brake his leg and ribs falling off a post box, and i dislocated my knee cap when dropping off the mat platform in manchester,

and there are some miner othrs, but they where all due to HS33's slipping and failing,

I meant what is the connection between boosters and crushed rims?

  7. Iv seen some real bad accidents from HS33's also iv had snapped frames with out a booster and crushed rims with boosters,

the only brakes that i have had no slipping and the best stopping power have been disc's

I fail to see a connection?... Frame design has come along a lot , most good frames are fine to run without booster now or come with one build in. By "bad accidents " you mean?

  8. any one else in the belief that hopes are a bit of a lucky dip for trials? some people have uber ones, and then the rest have temperamental disapointment? on paper discs are great but i was so happy to be rid of mine on a 26", was kinda fun on a 24" and they're sick on 20"s though

Yeah , I've used other peoples which have been amazing but mine after a while became awful on the back , not tried it up front yet though .

  9. Iv been looking nor for some months trying to find a 26" trials frame with a rear disc brake,

at present i am using an onza cleaner with a rear V brake as HS33 and other hydolic brakes just dont produse the stopping power i need,

Has anyone got any shops they know that sell 26" frames with disc brake mounts

    thanx, Anthony

You either need better pads , better rim or a grind for the v or HS33 or you are the most powerful rider ever to grace the earth. Disks in my opinion are not nearly as powerful and only useable on 20" bikes atleast without a massive ass rotor.
