Used to be all day, everyday. Unfortunatly getting old means I don't ride half as much as I would like - about 2/3 times a month on average and are usually lonesome evening rides for about 45 mins :( Andy P

If you don't mind getting a bike from halfords, have a look at the Carrera Subway's. From what you're describing, it sounds like the ideal candidate - its basically a cross-breed; a road going mountain bike thats rigid with semi slicks. They don't look half bad either, a nice matte black and fairly light weight. Its also right on your budget. You get a free 6 week servce thats valid for 3 months, and the bike is garunteed for a year. I should get out of work more..... Hope that helps (Y) Andy P

Ok, I'm building a PC for a family friend and have run into a problem. I power it on and I have a power light, the HDD spins up, the cpu fan spins, and a light on the GFX card comes on...and thats it. No power to the DVD-rw, no "beep", the monitor stays on standby. I try to eliminate problems, take out each memory stick in turn, nothing Switch the GFX card to one that I know works, nothing. Disconnect the DVD drive and IDE, nothing. Then tried the power on the DVD drive but no IDE and I get power to the drive.... :lol: I have a feeling that the mobo is retarded but haven't got one that I can replace it with to test. Spec as follows. 3.2ghz P4 1mb cache 800fsb. Gigabyte P4 titan series (GA-8IPE1000-G) mobo 2x 512mb ddr 3200 unbuffered radeon 9550 maxtor diamondmax10 300gb 16mb cache sata hdd panasonic dvd-rw Suggestions anyone??? Andy P

I downloaded the video that Joe posted and I have to say that your riding is very good for a rider of your age and size. Also have to comment on the trials park - bugger me sideways, I can see why the french are so good at trials!!! Not only do they have the streets of Paris but they have places like this!! Everyone write the video onto a CD and send it to their local council with an accompanying letter. Surely one of them would take notice and build something half decent? Anyhow, keep up the riding, I'm sure you'll be one to look out for in the near future. Well done. Andy P

Worn down is when there is no pad left on the backing and you get a cool sparkler effect under heavy braking, although not very useful for slowing purposes (Y) Andy P
