Well said Tom! Ot came last year which, like every year previous, was organised by MAD. And like Nadine said, it coinsided with the Worlds (which I totally forgot about) which is probably why he didn't come this year. No MAD = No trials at Nass at all..... Andy P

There was only one on a 'PHASE' branded Saracen (gaffer tape and marker pen!) Other than that there was a KOT (Matt Barlow), Toxin (Craig Lampton), Echo (Si Sagar), Onza 26" (Rob Poyzer), Onza 20" (Ashley Butler) and Revell (Chris Doney). Andy P

They are. It will be very similar to the more recent Saracen frames as we felt these rode well, although we've made a few changes to make it ride even better. The problem we've been faced with is that with such a vast range of riding styles within the team, finding some sort of common ground. We're hoping in future we'll be able to produce different frames for different styles. Andy P

Currently (to my knowledge) the new frames are still in the late design stage and hopefully we will recieve prototypes in the near future. I'm not sure how much I'm allowed to say but I'm really looking forward to their arrival because they look good and the geo seems spot on (imo). The frames will be a new brand owned by MAD called 'PHASE' At present, riders are allowed to ride what they like. Andy P

Lee, Firstly, NASS announced that Ot was going to be there, not MAD. Secondly, 'MAD' and 'Saracen' are seperate companies. MAD are the team and Saracen used to be the major sponsor of the team and supply the bikes - however this is no longer the case, MAD have dropped all ties with Saracen. You may have noticed any 'Saracen' branding or logos have been covered. I'm not having a go or anything as I am very aware that the team is, or used to be considered as the 'Saracen MAD Team' which was never the case. I'm just claifying this for you Out of interest, which day did you come and what time did you watch? I think that, given the circumstances, the trials display was very good. Andy P.

I saw someone that looked IDENTICAL to you there, however I didn't know your were planning on going so I assumed it wasn't you... Ahhh well... Andy P I had a damn good time... VIP party with Matt Hoffman and staying in the same hotel as him and Tony Hawk

What essentially happend is the needle bearings rolled over their 'retaining lobes' (not what they're called but easiest to understand). Once this happened once the lobes were irrepairably damaged (flattened) and was unable to withstand much torque. poo. Andy P

Haha, I did that demo. BHIT demo in reading near a leisure centre. It was Simon Harvey and Si Sagar who were the other riders. With regards to Dave, where abouts were these demos and do you know who the riders were? MAD are in a bit of a pickle at the minute since saracen have gone into receivership leaving us without frames and a "large" sum of money short right at the beginning of the demo season. As you may have guessed, saracen was our major sponsor and because of this most (if not all) of our promotion material is mainly saracen based - for example, banners, flags, leaflets, posters, stickers, the rig and our team jerseys are plastered in saracen logos. After being left massivly out of pocket I'm sure you can understand why we wouldn't want to then advertise them for free. Although MAD may not appeal to many on the forum as much as koxx riders etc. I feel we do more than our fair share in bringing trials to the public eye. MAD have been on tv programmes such as blue peter 3 times, I personally have been on a live welsh programme called UNED 5 (with a v. fit presenter ), I mean, at least 5 people in wales must have seen that!! lol. Without MAD, there would have been no NASS trials arena and possibly no / little trials display at the bikeshow (certainly true for 05). Andy P (apologies for bringing up this fairly old topic back from almost certain death)

In my opinion, there is no such thing as too many engagements so long as its reliable. I used to run a Stealth hub from true precision which used a rollerbearing clutch (or one way bearing) and had instant engagement - I kid you not, not even a fraction of 'backlash'. I was expecting a little movement to be honest but there was absoluletly nil - and 100% silent. It wasn't spongy as some people suggested it would be, completely solid with no flex. Every one that rode it was very impressed, Chai, Staples, Simon and some of the worthing crew had a go and were rather astonished by the instant pickup. Shame it died after a month. Sent it back for them to experiment with stronger internals and spoke with them a few times to hear of good progress. I'm still waiting for it now after a year and a half lol.... I might give them a ring and see how its going! If anyone manages to make a instant / near instant engaging hub with proven reliability I'd definaltly be interested. I loved it. Andy P

I'm 21 and currently earning 16kpa. Will go up to 20kpa in about 2 months time. I'm a professional internet and forum browser estimator for a structual steelworks company. I started working here in November 05 on 12kpa for the first 3 months, then up to 16kpa and then after 6 months 20kpa. I dont think its bad considering I knew zilch about steelwork when I started. One of the guys I work with has been doing this for about 4.5 - 5 years and is in his late 20's. I had a sneek look at his payslip, he takes home (after tax) almost £900... a week - and since then has had a "hefty" payrise... He didn't know anything about steel when he started either. Hammering the 55plate BMW 5 series up to meetings can be fun too ... but not as fast as my car Andy P

6 months on and you still owe me £40... I'll post once I've watched it....

I was wondering how many posts it would take before someone even mentioned MAD.... And don't worry, I would have left my name off the list too!! Andy P

I work 50 hours a week, have a girlfriend, have a "performance" car, and enjoy going out yet I've ridden once every weekend for a day since January - without fail. I usually find time to ride in the evening once a week as well. No matter how busy you are, if you want to ride, you'll find the time. Andy P

Where abouts is this..... Is it a school somewhere in fareham? I think i've been there a long while ago with Doney and from what i remember it was pretty damn good. I've no idea where the hell it is, I was in the back of the van and couldnt see where we were going Andy P

What you're describing sounds like air in the system.... Bleeding with an allen key??? Have you got a proper bleed kit (with syringe etc)?? If not, get or make one. You can't bleed a magura in the same way as a resivoir system. Andy P

What I think Hobnobs is on about is that he wouldn't go as far as calling gingers cool. Which is blatantly true.... Andy P
