  1. it's not really the bomb itself here...its the way they can fit it onto a long range missile that's impressive... When you say you've been studying nuclear physics, it kinda sounds like you've been on youtube! Wikipedia has some really good articles- but most of the thermonuclear/bomb stuff is still not available and the stuff you find is likely to just be someone's good guesswork..
  2. Unless they get it from elsewhere...or have been running it for ages...I can't imagine that their reactor has actually produced much plutonium. OOo...wiki tells me as of 2005ish they had 45kg of Pu (doesn't say whether that's enriched though...), some of which they used in a test in 2006 and 2009 (IE: the other day).. Looks like they're still way behind in general..It is scary though- wouldn't like to be in South Korea
  3. note: "Pictured without SS bolt".. can't really see the use of the recess with modern v-daptor designs (and the fact that a standard set of spacers give ample adjustment)...how much extra clearance would it even accommodate?
  4. Materials scientist...the elite among engineers I like to think
  5. yeah man..you look really good on the mod But f**k it and just do the 24...that looked like a sesssssssssion!!
  6. One of the pads can move to compensate for pad wear...if the disc is bent then this pad will vary in distance from the rotor and the auto-compensation will not react quickly enough to keep the lever pull distance constant... On the other hand...I have no idea about disc brakes
  7. hahaha....they're built to include tyre height...
  8. hydroxx in the background looks mint tom teehehee....bars look sooo much better!
  9. How about we put it another way..? There's ALWAYS going to be a weakest point on a frame...and most of the time it takes someone to break one to find out where that is...it's not quite as obvious as you seem to imagine!
  10. the hydroforming means they can make it lighter/stiffer...pretty much definitely not heavier... Fair enough point though...every frame will fail somewhere though and its surely a sign of good quality manufacture if a frame always at the same place (assuming it doesn't fail due to manufacturing defects...), albeit not an ideal design. Adam
  11. haha! People actually like my bike...I've waited YEARS for this feeling
  12. I had them on my t-master shape wise- they have more rise than monty 221 and are pretty damn similar to deity dh bars Adam
  13. Well everyone else posts bike pictures...so...even though it's second hand and been posted before..things have changed Getting on well with the bar and stem I have now...tis an old monty urban stem (anyone know where I can get one with the same geo without 2 cracks in it?) and t-master handlebars (ooooldskool!) Ta. Adam
  14. it does seem as if the front triangle is a bit too long....needs another seat-tube like a t-rex to give it a bit more stiffness maybe..? Even though we all knew marino is just a bloke in a shed...this really shows the value of design and testing that the big companies do..! That's where all the money goes then... Carbon steel...hehehe..quality.
  15. looks awesome in the white...! But I can't understand why you've done that from a performance point of view...just bog standard case hardened steel never appeared to wear appreciably? It looks like a thermal coating on a turbine blade! Adam
  16. that looks awesome..! price sounds fairly reasonable too
  17. it'll be fekt....even if you do get it open (which I don't think you are supposed to be able to) you can't get parts...
  18. i really have no idea...but i imagine they could be made to fit somehow..
  19. I reckon your bike looks a load nicer than that Simps...Doesn't look so amazing to me- it looks a bit..too trialsy maybe? think it's the bars..and the bashring.. I am making wild assumptions..please don't go nuts.
  20. i was also a fan of front Vee's...but i recently got a front disc..and being able to actually slow down whilst riding down a hill, without going over the bars..is awesome!
  21. i have a synoptic paper this year...oh...crap..we did loads of thermodynamics a few years ago
  22. daamn...good effort! I always thought one colour was enough effort..! quick question...what stem is that..?
  23. haha...first the onza cleaner..now the dacia duster.. your move koxx..
