that is wrong beyond belief, i love it!!! when you coming down to livepool for a weekends riding and drunkness? later dude -
we've all committed loads of crimes: riding a bike on the pavement riding a bike without lights in control of a cycle whilst drunk drunk and disorderly public nudity underage consumption of alcohol speeding the list goes on, i guess my most serious one to date is bank robbery but if you dont get caught it aint illegal right???

na dude just go take a look on the giro web site, the only pink zen is the ladies one, its nice enough and if it were fellas fit i'd wear one but its a very pale girly pink. looking foward to seeing yours, so long as its not that horrid gay pink that slinger was wearing at the show...
-
your probably using an old olive which has been crimped and therefor wont fit, go get a new one and it'll slip on like something easy...

well if riding uci instantly means everyones going to 5 how come so few riders at fort william ended on 105? when i rode the NBR comp i actually rode uci for almost the entire comp just because thats the way i ride, i dont use my bash or pedals unless i f**k up and i think thats a far nicer way of riding. there is definately space in the uk for more variety in trials comps, as we proved at easter bikebattles can be great fun and a nice change, biu comps are nice because thats what alot of club level comps are but there is also room for uci comps, it means that if your at the top end of a category you can ride uci and be slightly more challenged. if there were no uci comps and bikebattles next year i feel it would be a huge loss to trials in the uk but that does not mean biu rules should be scrapped, basically just go to the comp and ride it regardless of the rules, you'll have a laugh and maybe find a new style of riding you hadn't tried before... *rant over*

although i may not be the best rider in britain i did seem to be rather good at destroying rimjam pads so if you want them tested i'm very happy to do so. if you want to have a chat and discuss the idea give me a shout (07732053219) tom oh yeah and i run a rear maggie and a front V so could test both types of pads for you...

what??? sorry dude buts thats crap, a brake on a uni seerves a hge purppose and takes a massive amount ofstrain off your legs, a brake i extremely useful and if your getting into trials uni or muni then a brake is definately going to be on your future upgrades list but don't worry about one uuntil you find yourself needing one...

International Cycle Show - Today's Riding
spunkey_monkey_boy replied to AdamR28's topic in Trials Chat
i want to second that, i've seen alot of the top riders ride some crazy stuff and although i have huge respect for their skills i am rarely shocked and hugely impressed by anyones riding now, bens ride on section 2 had me on the edge of my seat it was amazing. a huge well done to him beause that section was STUPID. you really cant appreciate how good a ride it was unless you saw it, hats off to the guy. waynio, ben and james - you missed a hell of a night sat and i went on to have a great night sunday too :P all in all it was one of the craziest, most fun and all round great weekends i've ever had, cheers to everyone for making it such a bloody brilliant weekend away (especially amelia who made 8am mon morning all the more bearable :S ) -
those forms hold no legal basis in a court of law, if someone fell on a section you'd built and did decide to sue you would be 100% acountable. please do NOT run an event without insurance, i will do everything i can to stop any events i think are being run under the freeridetrials club name that are not insured because it will do no one any good and i am not prepared to let myself end up in court because an event has run un insured. will - i didn't ask you to do anything because by that time i'd realised the comp wouldn't be able to run matt - i asked you to secure the loan of all our pallets from asda and you told me you couldn't do it, if you can't find the time for that how would you find the time for anything else?

not liking the colour or the set up but frame wise very nice. i was wondering when clive would finally bow down and do low frames, i asked him about one a few months back and he said he didn't want to go too low but i think a long low compy type leeson would be absiloute sex. i'm in love with my control atm but if it ever dies i may well just get clive to build me a frame with the same geo...

i was rider 53 - tom johnstone and the rider above me (87) in my category was sam who came down with waynio thank you for the results, i'm disapointed with how i did but hey at least i'm on the top half of the results. not too bad for a first comp  oh yeah and i think rider 9 was mike carlin

i'd like to add to this review because i've had toxsin grips on my bikes for the last 3 months or more and have been meaning to do a review for ages. when i first fitted the grips i imediately found them very comfotable and found my calouses decreased whith riding rather than getting worse, i continued to ride on the grips and although i was riding more and more my calouses did not get any worse which i feel is a huge bonus not having great lumps of leather on your hands. i have since riden the grips until there is almost no grip left on them and i still think they rule, they may get replaced now the wet wethers here because having no actual grip left on them makes them funky when riding in the rain but i really can't fault them, they are by far the best grips i've ever used and an absiloute bargain. oh and incase anyone who doesn't know me was wondering i've been riding for 11 years and have gone through hundreds of different sets of grips, these are the only ones i'd buy again... cheers tom

i think everyone here needs to seriously re consider the rerasons for the comp being canceled. 1 - i have only recieved one entry (£5) 2 - the hall is £150 a day plus £50 an evening to set up 3 - i live in liverpool and am not prepared to run an event with only one guaranteed entry 4 - i have been offered a weekends work i cannot refuse for the good of myself or the clubs interests 5 - i have recieveed NO actual help in organising this event so before anyone tries giving me shit about returning etnries, they will all be sent straight back on the day i recieve them (matt yours is in the post already). before anyone gives me any shit about ruining anyones plans - i've had my plans ruined by those of you who said you were coming and couldn't be bothered to send in your entries and before matt goes running off to organise an event maybe you should think a little deeper into the financial effects of running an event: (£200+ for the hall, £400ish for insurance for the year, transport costs, purchase of screws, nails, straps etc) if you run an event that is not insured i will be the first to ask for your resignation off the committee, all events we have run before have been on someone else's public liability insurance, we no longer have that option and have to take out our own policy, matt - your too young to do this and i have been working very hard over the past 2 months to try and set up our bank account and secure an insurance policy that is worthwhile having. i am not prepared to take abuse for the cancelation or postponment of this event, i appologise for the problems it will cause some people but there was too much work financially and personally to be done with no guarantee of anyone turning up, this isn't a game anymore, if we want the club to be successful we have to have the commitment from both sides, that means you guys actually sending your entry forms in, they've been available since the beggining of last month and now just 10 days away from the event i have still only had ONE entry. if you do decide to run a jam then i hope with all sincerity that it is a great fun and safe event and that you get a good turn out. we also need to discuss between the core committee members some of the issues the club is facing at the moment and having just come back from a biketrialUK meeting there are some new issues to discuss however here is not the place for it. please stop trying to make me out as a trouble maker, i have done all i can to make the comp run and be a success but i CANNOT do it all myself and the weight of these events needs to be shared among the club. tom yes thats right josh i am the organiser but not of our club because you've never paid your membership and made it quite clear on a number of occasions you want nothing to do with the running of the club... oh yeah and my reasons for cancelling the comp were all genuine not that i feel the need to explain myslef to you in any way seeing as your neither a club member nor have you entered the comp that i unfortunately had to cancel...
-
well if you guys wana run the comp that weekend thats fine but i wont be there. i've been made an offer i cant refuse and i'm not going to put in the time needed to run a comp when i've only had one entry!!! if i'd had more entries i'd run the comp but i am not going to put the club under the financial strain of running an event where only one person is DEFINATELY going to turn up. if you guys wana run the event then please do, i'll pass the entry on to you... later tom

looking forward to the street ride and the serious drinking session. waynio mate do you wana bring shona along? (Y) later dude tom

its not the money side of things its the fact that we've got so few people interested in coming and the amount of work i have to do to organise the event. if we postpone the event by 1 week then i have more time to organise it and it gives us another week to attract more riders. the event on the 22/23rd cannot realistically happen as it stands so i need to know if you guys want it re sheduled for the following weekend (29/30th?) or whether i should cancel the event. hopefully we'll be able to run a great event on the 29th/30th but i need some entries and interest people. cheers tom

you can send them to either, it doesn't really matter its just about a day quicker to my new address but either addy will do :P
