    Blind Bike Trials

Amazing, doing even the most simple of moves with my eyes closed becomes impossible, you use your vision so much in trials. Some longer lines than the last video if i remember right, really improved alot, takes alot of skill to link thoose lines up without any vision, it really is inspiring! Keep up the good work
  4. James butcher was the tall guy on the rockman, i rode so shite that day hence only the last clip of me in there Wish i could edit like that Joel, really really nice mate

    Getting A Stock.

No, moving on the wednesday and need to pack. Anyone got any usefull info on stems/tyres then, i think i may go for the ozonys curve v2
  6. 20" - £1749, 26" - £1599 Well if its near that price with the gear you mentioned i will probably have a full build asap then What sort weight do you think were looking at 9kg and under ?

    Getting A Stock.

Seems to be a pritty standard bb height nowdays looking at quite a few on tarty, i think i will be settling with something around 1080-1090wb I really dont like marinos Plus i will be purchasing a bike soonish
  8. Im in the market for a 26, and this really tickles my pickle, any idea on eta of a full build or having a frame to let me build a custom bike ;P?
  9. Right so after like 8-9 years of riding mod i really want to give 26 a try and im not too clued up on stocks Im looking for a frame with high bb (+50-60mm) and prefrably quite short, now looking on tarty theres nothing really in that area most of the high bb bike are 1090-1100(was interested on the ozonys curve v2 though) Only frame i can think of at the moment which meets my requirements would be hydroxx LT, but it seems there not made anymore unless someone knows were to source one Being 5ft8 and being used to short bikes i thought this would be best frame for me, or will i be ok with something 1090+? Forks, axle offset, im guessing this is how far infront the axle is set to the top of the fork? so shorter offset=shorter wheelbase, right? never really concentrated on this as i always used koxx forks on my mod Now im probably going to nick my carbon bars off my mod for this build, what sort of stem should i be looking at lenght/angle wise. Tyres, so many to choose from im not a fan of silly thin sidewalls, i know its not the same but i really didnt like monty/try-all light tyre due to this, found i had to run higher pressures which made the tyre feel to hard on flat surfaces has to be relatively light though Crank lenght, on mod i currently use 165mm for stock should i be looking at 170-175mm? gear ratio, is the standard 15/18? not a clue to be honest Cheers Toby
  10. What Joe said, all in the compression/preload, dip down low and pop back up as fast and as powerfull as possible. Stretch, and keep practising. your body will slowly get used to it.

    Carporn

That golf looks fake to me as well, looks like the rear wheel is oval i'm really liking the 350z's really suit that hellaflush style thingie which i normally dont like. Why are people complaining about the website look and such, it shows the pictures, job done in my opinion, most car fanatics are not going to concentrate on the website layout and all that jazz. Also the whole "i love cp" thing is retarded, other than that i like the website My "carporn" car at the moment is the honda hsv-010 gt racer, if only they put it into production (probably not to everyones taste)
  12. Cheers for the comments everyone! keep them coming! I obviously need a faster paced video next time to please the masses
  13. Just get an Echo SL ryan, getting a rear free hub your moving extra unnecessary weight to the rear of the bike, i personally think you will spend a whole lot of money on a freehub setup and not get anything out of it.
  14. Which freewheels have you used.

    Reading/london Short

Feck, your rather good at the old front wheel gaps, one at 0:52 was very impressive
  16. I never knew that the bigger someone goes the better they obviously are alot of people dont seem to have any idea what is needed from some one at top level UCI competitions, the amount of stamina, consistancy, precision and composure is unreal. It's amazing to think some people even in there own sport have such a stupid view on what makes a good rider, going big is not the only thing that matters, though if thats what people on here want to think, fine! i can't force someone to think differently Not taking anything away from Damon he goes insanely big, he obviously trains his body very hard to achieve this and congratulations to him on achieveing what he has, it goes without saying there are very few people in the world who can do what he does. Also if you take into account what TRA has said about the size of gillies relative to his sidehops just imagine what he could do if he bulked up?
  17. Thought i would make a video this weekend at Barrow Farm after its been moved about, lots and lots of lines to made there now. Quality isn't fantastic, doesn't help with the fish eye i have, i also wanted to speed up alot of bits in it but was unable to with windows movie maker Big thanks to all of the Mitchel family for giving up so much of there free time to create such a brilliant place to ride if you need any info go to www.radicalbikes.co.uk No fancy editing since im pritty crap at it just standard stuff here, shame since a good edit makes a video that much more enjoyable to watch Anyway here it is i hope some of you enjoy it and please comment, good or bad

    White Sky 20"

I can't really say what the benifit of longer stays was, the bike was so light just felt great all round anyway. My bikes usually last me a while i dont change them often so its kinda hard for me to compare it really, i get a bike adjust to it and usually like it if you can sort of get what i mean i don't do bunnyhops often but they were not a problem at all on the bike then again i was used to the geo, might be different if you got on it yourself for the first time It's not about how "weak" it was, infact it lasted me 10months and only because of badly timed riding it died, the way i see it with a sub 1.3k magura frame theres only so many places to loose wieght in this case the rear end were alot of extra strenght is needed for magura frames to keep it ridgid for braking, which was evident when i compared it to my rockman akali the back end of the rockman was far heavier. But the rockman was so stiff on the rear end i could set up my brake how i wanted(same wheel used from the sky:P) so this crossed out any suspicion of it being the wheel causing flex, you could push down on the pedals and see the amount the bb yolk swayed on the white sky Personally i dont think you will see many more sub 1.3kg magura frames unless someone finds a way to keep the rear end stiff, this obviously isnt a problem when using discs It would be interesting if Maxx has any of the same problems, i worked around the brake issue by setting up the bike in a certain way but ment i couldnt set up the rear brake perfect:)

    White Sky 20"

Personally i found the geo brilliant, they look so good as well. I'm the person who said there flexy, which they are! was a shame really only thing that let it down. It was very annoying not being able to set up the brake how i wanted it, but more how i could set it up not to rub when putting power through the pedals. When you had it set up though it was such a great bike to ride!
