  1. the masked man talks!!! pretty sweet that sam, any publicity is good publicity, especially if its going on the TV See you at shipley 4/5th oct bud. Wayne.
  2. my new 1's not as flexy as the white one i had???? unless scott's is flexy??? iv measured mine and sent all my measurements to scott, so he knows what my limey 1.six measures etc. and it comes in with a medium/heavy weight build at 10.5 kg. room for a light weight build on 1 i think. Wayne.
  3. id best get entered..............haha Should be a good crack, would like to see some nice flowy sections up at shipley, not a marathon, something fun and super enjoyable like the sections at the new tyke trial event. Wayne. BD175BN is the postcode for who ever needed it. its on the entry form i think.
  4. The NEW limey 1.6 26" frame with the horizontal dropouts is looking good, feels nice too as someone has already said the head angle needed to be a bit steeper and is feels spot on, still very light and alot stiffer. havent bothered to measure it, but does feel around the 1075/1080 mark with probably around a 380ish back end, maybe 385. il measure up and get some pictures up, once iv been out and abused it a bit more. Wayne.
  5. nice ride geez!!! watch out for the UTE's passing by, dont wanna be getting mowed down by 1! haha. i think the grey rims will possibly split the colour better??? as the frame is silver at the front. with a bit of white. looks pimp as it is. Wayne. Talk soon, i owe you an e-mail or message on facebook anyway, will deffinatly do that today or tomorrow.
  6. GUTTED!!! great pics patt. hopefully will be able to go there next year, even if it is just for a holiday and go with someone to be a minder. Reminds me off good/great times. Ben in tights??? cant wait to see ben next............. Wayne.
  7. great trial fab day, weather held off beautifully!!! thanks to everyone who marked out,was not the biggest of venues but the sections that were marked out were great!!!made good use of the land available, cant wait til the next trial there, might even go up there practising in the stream. Wayne
  8. forks will be IS normal position normal disc size to caliper number or mount etc. price i would have guessed around the £80-100 i would have thort the idea would have been to come in competatively with the echo forks etc. (if not maybe cheaper?) im sure i will be corrected by mike, or joe at onza though. Wayne.
  9. left foot forward sideghopping the correct way would in theory snap dropout hangers and derailers/tensioners etc. (well int old days!) going to have mine built tonight and have a play. il possibly have some pictures from sunday maybe, i should be at the tyke trial with it. ready to rock and roll!!! Wayne. EDIT: obviously if you were sidehopping and not quite making it, therefore falling back down onto the mech/tensioner.
  10. the grey 1 is mine and the gold one scott's ye the tubes are "off cuts" therefore are not the production line tubeset. looks great will get it built up tomorrow or saturday at some point. Wayne. Look loads better than the other 1, looks and feels stiffer when trying to compress the rear end.
  11. sum things will never change matt. but one thing that i think i have spotted is, i think people are more getting at "how un strong" the BIU team was? maybe it was because of all the stuff that happened last year? but for the benefit of the sport in this country you would want to take a strong team to do your country proud. to me personally this STEMS from the organisers and the delegates? maybe im missing the point, but IMO this is where the poor achievement of the team has stemm'd from, as when i rode in 2005/06 i was encouraged to go to the worlds as i could do well and help the "Great Britain" team to sucess. i dont think british cycling would want to take the approach that the current BIU organisers have. god do you think they owuld have won 12 or how ever many gold medals they won at the olympics???? Just my thought on things. Wayne.
  12. Well done jacky boy Jack would have come 2nd i think mick? no1 will know, as they probably only looked at the results to try work things out. i bet i know more than most others. If jack hadnt of been disqualified, he would have poss had 10+ penalty points onto his score in spain which would have left him in 3rd?or 4th? cant remem which. His points scored from this would have lent him into 2nd. It would have been nice for a better description of ACTUALLY what happened to jack in spain and he did pay 50 Euro's to complain as far as i was aware also never mind eh. its the luck of the draw. he'll be back better and stronger next year, maybe in the category up but he'll be back. As i put in my topic in chit-chat well done to who ever went, shame there wasnt the usual 30+ riders at each event as there have been in the previous 2 years that i have been travelling to the worlds. i think there was nearly more riders travel to Japan in 2006 than Great Britain had registered to ride all together this year Hopefully see some people next year at the worlds..............unless something else crops up..... Wayne.
  13. both videos were the SAME. same shit different person. haha love the outtakes Ross!!!! give us a bell when your about for a ride in town. bet you was wondering when i was going to turn up???as i had considered going to benalmdena Wayne.
  14. new dogs mint!!!! ian is this aswell as flossy??? so she has a play mate? kool pics sammy boy. hopefully see you all soon? Wayne.
  15. Just found out that Jack Carthy finished 2nd, behind the lad that has won all 3 rounds. not sure if jack is 2nd overall, but will be up there!!!! Ben Savage came 4th, he was joint 3rd but must have lost out on most cleans etc. Ryan Crisp came 11th i think. Cant find any results for any of the senior riders at the mo. take a look: http://www.biketrial-spain.com/principalE.htm - top right of screen click Dani Comas name. http://www.biketrial-spain.com/Mundial2008...enjaminjapo.pdf jack's result http://www.wbc2008.jp/eng/modules/news/ Congratulations to all who attended. Wayne.
  16. usually you can heat the cups to expand the alloy and the bearings "fall out" in an ideal scenario. id just stick it in the frame and not worry about it. if its not too rough it wont feel bad on the steering. Wayne.

    Ben Carlile

Was in cyprus on holiday last week, and returned barbara's call on sunday. absolutly devastated. My thoughts and feelings go out to his family, i was bitterly upset at the bunnyhop from seeing ben in a wheelchair and having to go through something that i would have wished and hoped no 9 year old boy would ever have to go through. The world is such an un fair place. Wayne...............
  18. Ben, Kenny is far from arrogant, he is probably one of the koolest trials riders around. BIG respect to him, what you have to look at is, from our point of view he WANTS to be the best therefore he WANTS to WIN this is only possible with his drive and his self belief, maybe this is why he comes across that way???? BUT i can honestly say there is not a kooler rider around than Kenny, his personality and how he gives everyone some of his time, hes not an arrogant or abnoxious rider. Good luck to all who are going to attend the comp in switzerland. Wayne.
  19. Trials was TRUE! back in the day, now its changed and its totally different. id love to re-RIP up with Danny H,Adam B, Chris S, Ste H in hudds with the TrialsRider lot, Myself, Rob H, Alex R,Scott GOD them were the days. makes me wanna cry!!!! haha i have to admit though, my sis has had a lil 1, and i love her to bits, more than i love my bike at the mo(altho i love riding my bike, as it keeps me on the straight and narrow!!!and is good excercise). Family comes first. but there will always be trials in Danny's blood. at the end of the day, this is why this forum knows of the Trialskings etc. Good luck to danny with the family etc. hopefully catch up with him soon. Wayne.
  20. im WELL jealous. there right by Dan Martins spot. makes me wanna cry. would love to catch up with all you guys out there again soon. iv got the money, its if i want to skin myself and just leave UK for a Auz trip. brings back the memories of 2004!!!!! Me and Danny Martin ROADTRIPPIN Auz! Waynio................ Dan, send us an e-mail sometime geez, its been WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY too long, got a friend in auz down in melbourne, so might have to come over visit you and trip down there????
  21. the chap me and ash have been speaking to regularly visits this thread, therefore takes postives and negatives away and sorts them out. for example, the pro2 trials hub (26") the bolts and such forth, we have/are considering 10/12mm through axle??? as it will be stiffer and lighter than 2 bolts. its good to see, (me and ash in particular) have got in with someone who 1st visited the Easter BunnyHop earlier this year was inspired and saw a hole in the market that hope could fill. and 3/4months later. sherbang!!!! i think they just needed to see the simplicity of a trials bikes components and pick what they wished to produce. Wayne. PS 2 wheels going begging tomorrow at addingham moorside for test, think iv got 1 lined up so will still have 1 spare for someone to test PS if anyone has/is getting a new rim and spokes for their bike soon and want to test a hub and want it building and sorting, i could put them a hope hub into the wheel to test also.
  22. suppose id best send an entry in before i forget. hahaha Wayne.
  23. i have spoken about the "1 cog" cassette body (which will be used on the mod cassette hub) to be used on a wider shell'd pro2 trials for LITERAL singlespeed use. therefore there will be a mock soon, BUT not before the ratchet 20" cass hub. was at hope last wednesday and things are coming together. should be there tomorrow or thursday at some point therefore will have more news and updates. Wayne.
  24. i was just about to say Danny!!! i remember that place!!! haha i could have sworn that was where i went and it is. geez, send us an e-mail trip/live in auz in plan!!!! i cant stand this foul weather and wanna be hanging out wi you agen in auz like 2004 good luck to that dude thats over there. Wayne.
  25. hey ash, at long last the pestering has paid off. iv just had a conversation with owen with regards to a pro2 type pawl and ratchet design. so im sure me and ash will be working closely with Owen (one of the main designers, who has listened and helped design and make this current hub) i think alot of people are missing the idea of through axle, i am doing it to 1 of my hope pro2 trials, the way i see the benefit is this: 1) its stiffer 2) wheel is always in straight 3) its lighter and simpler even in a 20" wheel bike, the wheel as long as the dish on the wheel build is correct would be bang on, it would be good to see how the design holds up but i think its a really good idea and something that me and ash have had a large input in. the screw on hub would also apply to the 26" mod stock frame people who wish to run front freewheel. so there is plenty of opportunities for the hubs to be used. Wayne off to pick 2 of the new 20" hubs up tomorrow to build into wheels, will probably have one going spare for someone to test???
