Hi all, I know its a damn long way off, but I would like to try to plan ahead and get as many riders down here as possible for this ride. Last years ride was very memorable, and a great tribute to DJ. The video by Jonny Jones was amazing too, so lets show some support and get our bikes down to Portsmouth for this ride. Jon.

Argh! My cheap and nasty lid got in the photo from Subway! :"> NIce pics here from Mike D. If anyone wants to ride any of these places, I am just about to post a topic on a ride for DJ in May.... :ermm:" Lets all get together and make this ride a good 'un.

Hi all. Hopefully (student loan permitting) I'll be there on the sunday with some of the local riders. I am finishing the car off at the mo. should be cool! :( P.S. I will be supporting Andy P, I may even have his frame off him by then. :"> If anyone else wants to drive up in convoy stylee, just shout me, and we'll work it out. :ermm: Planning a roadtrip in the summer if anyone's up for that too!

Thanks for the information here guys, especially Chris. I have PM'd you regards Section 7. Here's hoping... (Y)

Oh my God!!! I think I may have to do that to mine so I can loose the Saracen bit...

Hey dude, you should come along and try Portsmouth too. >_< I understand what you're saying about university too! I am in my second year here, and it's all getting tough all of a sudden! Last year was a doddle, now it has all crept up on me! Still I get a lot of time off over the summer break to ride without feeling guilty, as you say. What are you studying? Maybe when my road trip gets underway we can meet up with all you riders and start seeing the country from a different point of view. It's gonna be a good year for riding! (When I have sorted out my Hope and my rib cage B)" )

Can Anyone Give Advice On The Hope Bulb Hub?
stuntsbyjon replied to stuntsbyjon's topic in Trials Chat
Thanx again Danny. I'll try that on Monday. >_< -
It seems that the topic of this post has been lost amongst people trying to prove who has the best grammatical English and those who may have made a mistake with the grammar... Lets not forget that this post is simply asking for peoples veiws or ideas about journalistic writing as a career, NOT a post about the Queen's English. >_< Jon.

Thanks for that dude. I think In will have to lookinto it more seriously.... Jon.

Cool, cheers guys, I shall post again soon, but my network has gone down at home, hence I am having to use the university network. :S Laterz. Jon

Hi guys, more news on the bones front. I have broken two ribs whilst riding on Sunday! Bloody well gutted cause I am starting to learn real quickly now too. Also I have shagged my Hope Bulb hub too, the ring gear has kinda had it. :P So, I guess that means that I am off the bike for a while now. :S

Can Anyone Give Advice On The Hope Bulb Hub?
stuntsbyjon replied to stuntsbyjon's topic in Trials Chat
Hi again guys an gals... As dan suggested, it is the ring gear. :P Gutted... The rest of it is all perky and fine, just the ring gear has a fair few teeth missing from it. :P Can I send it back to hope and ask for a new ring gear (can they do that?) or will it involve a new hub. I am hoping (get it :"> ) that hope can replace the ring gear, even if I have to pay for them to do it as I like the hub and it rode great before this little happening. Anyways, can anyone advise on this? Cheers lads and lasses. Jon :S -
Quote "The only reason I space out things with a line as it makes things easier to read!" Hhhmm, enough said about English then. :- Nah, it's all cool dude. Your points are valid, and I have noted them. (Spaced) (Y)

I like the idea of breathing it in.. (Y) I sound daft as F*%k when I do.. :- I didn't know you were that into chemistry daahnhillaaaa... you have shocked me. :-

Cool, thanks for supporting my idea of this being a forum and not an official document. (Y)" I have so far applied to future publishing; wrote articles for mates and my own website, (That is crap) the articles are cool; and spoken with many future possible employers. I am getting my face known within the industry too; I have spoken personally to Ashton, Leech, Giles Woolf at the MAD team (with whom I have a good friendship) as well as a few staff writers at MBUK. Also I have E-mailed BTM for thier responce towards my writing talents etc. As I posted, I don't wish to be paid to start out, I just want to get my name noticed on a few articles in order that I can overcome the initial shock of finding employment. I will keep you posted guys. Thanks Sam. Jon.

I thought Helium was explosive... :- Bloody chemists online are crap.. (Y)"

Can Anyone Give Advice On The Hope Bulb Hub?
stuntsbyjon replied to stuntsbyjon's topic in Trials Chat
Thanks guys. I am gonna strip it down later on tonight. I am sure that the ratchet ring was ok about three weeks ago when I stripped it for the same thing, maybe I missed summit. (Y) Will the XC hub fit in then? I may be tempted to send it back to hope, but I bought it second hand and I am not too sure about their returns policy... -
Thanks for the input dude. I haven't spaced it out, or even grammatically sorted the post due to it being just that; a post on a forum. I am generally asking if anyone here is employed within the industry and if so, could they point me in the right direction. Trust me when I say that I know the way to write articles etc... English is my study course here at university. I have also had work published although it is not journalistic, so I am starting to get known, just needing a few names now. It's not what you know, it's who you know half the time. (Y)

Hi, not sure if this is a new post topic or not, but I can't find what I am looking for anywhere else. (Y) I have the Hope bulb rear hub which is really annoying me by making a loud cracking noise when I try the bigger stuff. I think it may simply be the springs, but has anyone got any advice as to a means of determining what it is before I order the new springs, just incase I need pawl ratchets too? Thanx. Jon. P.S. If this is anywhere else, can someone shout and i'll delete or whatever. :">

Hhhhmm, so if I wanted to run a single speed on the rear of my stock, what size would you all recomend for that? (Y) Think I may be confused again... :o
-
Hhhhmmm, also would mean carrying a helium tank around on your trials incase you got a flat. :o but yeah, 40 PSI of helium is the same weight as 40 PSI of normal air, plus it may risk explosion if your not careful, then you'd need new bits, all to save 4g? (Y) Nah, sod that...

Hi guys and girls. Ok, I am currently looking for work within the journalism fields of the trials industry, or other genre of MTB riding. I am nearing completion of my university degree and want to get into writing about the sport I love so much! :"> I have E-mailed people at MBUK, BTM and am now looking for other publications to try to get work from. At first I simply want to promote my own work, and that of my photographer; well, not mine, but you know what I mean. :o I will do a few articles / features for free to get the jist of things, and then I hope to stay within the field and generate employment following my degree. If anyone is interested in my style or approach and the kinda subjects I hope to post, I am now about to create a website simply to promote the riding and writing times. :P Anyone wanna name the site? Jon... Thanx for reading all this btw. (Y)

check out www.assault.tk. That has all the measurements and angles of the most popular frames. :o

Hi guys, I am up for Portsmouth and I know that a few others will turn up too. Any chance we could move it to the sunday? :P" I may be working on Saturday. :o Although if I get notice I can say that i'm not working that day. (Y) Also, I need some really good pictures as I aim to submit an article to BTM and a few other mags as an aim to getting work as a trials journalist. :o Hopefully see you all at the weekend. Jon.
