  1. I’m having a problem with keeping the front end up when wheelswapping. I’m using a ledge which is about 18” or so and approaching it at an angle rather than straight on. I can wheelswap and plant my rear wheel where my front wheel was previously, but the front wheel is not high enough to keep it to back wheel – the front is barely above the ledge once I’m up. Has anyone else had a similar problem when learning this? Are there any pointers or is it just something that will come with practice? Cheers.
  2. Really good vid there. Was really chilled and smooth. What was the song you used?

  5. Do you mean upon Tyne or under Lyme? If it's Newcastle upon Tyne I think I can make that date.
  6. I'm having a few problems putting my rear Onza hub back together. Basically, I'm not sure if I've lost any parts but the last nut on the axle is inside the freehub rather than on the other side, so when the wheel is put back on the bike, the grooved nut (circled on 1st picture) is not touching the drop out. I don't know if I've lost any parts along the way, but the 2nd picture shows what the hub looks like (apologies for bad diagrams). Is there anything missing, or will it just be a case of acquiring some more spacers to push the grooved nut out further on the axle? Pic 1: Pic 2: One thing I've noticed is that there doesn't seem to be any bearings on the drive side (there are 10 on the non drive side). Is it a case that I've lost them or they really aren’t meant to be any there. By the way, the hub is a standard Onza hub (was on a 2003 T-Raptor with Onza Half-Fat rims). Thanks in advance, Ian

axle on onza hub - somethings not quite right :S
  9. Thanks for that! :- Is it possible to buy the freehubs seperately. I've looked on the Onza and Supercycles website but can't seem to find any info?
  10. Hi, Does anyone know how to remove the freehub body from an Onza hub. I'm not too sure what model hub it is (It was standard on a 2003 T-Raptor). I've managed to remove the cassette and axle, but unlike Shimano hubs there doesn't seem to be a 10mm bolt which holds the freehub to the hub. Has anyone ever done this? Any help would be most appreciated. Cheers, Ian
  11. Trials Dave: My msn address is ian_a27@hotmail.com if you've got msn. Add me if you want and we could maybe sort out a ride sometime. Cheers, Ian
  12. Hi, I live down on the coast near Whitley Bay. I don't know a lot of riders from the coast though. Ian
  13. I dunno whether you've tried this yet but give it a shot... Instead of taking the policy out in your mam/dads name and putting you on as second driver, take out the policy in your name with your mam as second driver. This saved me between 150-200 quid on my insurance and it still lets you build up your no claims as your the policy holder. I dunno why this works. The only reason I can think of is that if there is more than 1 driver on the policy the driving will be split between the 2 people so effectively you are less of a risk with another driver on the policy (as it is not you doing all the driving), thus making it cheaper. I'm not sure whether it will work with all companies. When your getting quotes make sure you check what your excess is. Most policies seem to add on young driver excess (could be up to £400 with some companies) which is compulsory if you make a claim.
  14. Mine is currently 1020 with an Onza tuff guy fork.
  15. I think with any mail order item they have to take it back (there is a law which states if you buy anything mail order you can return it within so many days (14 maybe?). There's usually a small charge to cover overheads and stuff though so you many lose out a few quid. Edit: Not to sure about it when you say you tried to fit it. It would probably depend on condition, whether you still have packaging etc.
  16. My attempt. Has changed a bit since - now with red Hot S's and Echo Control Booster. Short bike but rides really nice. (Y)
  17. Ok, thanks for that. Just wondering, does anybody know how to bleed the brake - I'm guessing I'll have to buy a bleed kit or something - would it be cheaper for a bike shop to do it? Cheers
  18. The hosing on the rear brake (Magura HS33) has snapped (see picture) and I was wondering if anybody knew what I'd need to fix it? I'm guessing I'll just need a new piece of hose (It's the crossover part I think it's called?). Is there anything else I'll have to do like bleed the brakes or refill them or anything because I seem to have lost quite a bit of oil. Cheers

  20. Yeah, he was French and very good. Just looked on http://www.vttcoustellier.com and I'm pretty sure it was him (Didn't realize that at the time though!!) I haven't really riden much in Newcastle centre as I live on the coast and mainly ride there.
  21. Hmm. Does he ride for Koxx? I was out riding in Whitley Bay a few weeks back and there was this guy riding some rocks down there (who could possibly have been him). He said he was up until July. Bloody good rider as well.
