  1. The stuff you metioned in the first post (changing fuses, checking oil, mending punctures etc) would be more useful for the real world than things like pythagoras, how a plant works etc, but it's not going to help anyone earn a living (unless you take the basic tasks and build on them, e.g. once you know how to check the oil, learn more about engines and become a mechanic). You could be a doctor and know how to treat patients etc, earn a load of money but still not be able to mend a puncture, check oil and the like. Whereas someone who knows how to mend punctures, change oil won't really make a living unless they build on these things and become a bike/car mechanic. I'm not saying we don't need to know these things (cos we do), but it maybe explains why it isn't taught at school. (Anyway that's my views on it)
  2. Nice one Craig. Enjoyed that . Some good angles as well.
  3. I would change the font and the background. It's a bit difficult to read the font on that background. I'd possibly change the flash for html as someone said. I'm pretty sure everything you've got in the flash bit can be done in html.
  4. I reckon white as its less common (at the minute). Mind you, it would depend on the colour of the other components as well.
  5. When I started it used to be street, but just started riding natural recently and I'm really enjoying it. Only problem is with the dark nights I can only really ride natural at weekends so over winter I seem to end up doing more street. I find natural much harder than street, but after riding it then going back to street I realize how much it's helped me to improve my street.
  6. I put the Hope spacers on my bike when I went single speed, and have had no problems with them since. They've just sat there and done their job The good thing about the Hope spacers compared to the other s/s kits with only 2 spacers is that you'll get more adjustment from the Hope spacers, so you can make smaller adjustments to the chain line in order to get it dead straight.
  7. I'm guessing that would depend on your company. I know some companies will only replace mods with standard parts even if you've declared the mods. I'd check through your insurance docs as there will probably be something in there.
  8. Looks like you got a front abarth bumper on it. Might cost a bit more for one of them than a standard Punto bumper. Will the abarth bumper be covered by the insurance, or would they just replace it with a standard one?
  9. Slightly off-topic, but I was wondering about this aswell. Got ID'd a few years back at a bar, so showed the guy my driving licence - takes it, looks at it then says "It's fake mate." Well unless the DVLA actually send out fake licences I'd very much doubt it. Anyway, the bouncer's mate comes over and takes a look and tells him it's real. I was wondering whether they'd have the power to take it off me if they thought it was fake.
  10. 1.How would you rate the customer service? 9 2.Do you believe they have a varied choice of products? 7 3.Do you believe they price competitively with its competition? Cheap enough? 6 (If you include internet based competitors) 4.Quality: in your opinion are the quality of their products to a high standard 10 5.Is your local store positioned conveniently? 7 6.Average amount spent In shop per visit £10- £30 7.Do you belive there are enough new products coming into the store 9 8.Do you believe the store is product biased 9 You might want to change question 6, if you spent £10 in the shop, would it fall into £3-£10 or £10-30?
  11. In mine (was 4 years ago though, so dunno if it's changed) I put stuff like: -What I wanted to gain from the degree -Why I wanted to study the degree subject -Any stuff I'd done at school/college that might be useful for the degree -Any stuff I'd done at school/college that not everyone did (like Young Enterprise or whatever) -Any part time jobs I'd done and skills I learned there -Any sports I did and other stuff I did in my free time. We were told you just gotta sell yourself, show you're capable of doing a degree etc. Try and put examples in as well, like if you say you're good at teamwork, give some e.g.'s of where you've worked in a team.
  12. First off, you'll need a table with all the products (the ones listed in the drop down list on your form) and the associated price from each product. If you put another text field (called say 'cost') on your form to display the cost (price * quantity) and set its property - Locked = 'Yes'. (Means it is read only I think). Stick a button on your form as well ('Calculate Cost'), make an onClick event and in the VB code you will want something like: cost = price * quantity - where: 'cost' is the name of the text field that displays the cost of the order, 'price' is the name of the field in the database associated with that particular product, 'quantity' is the name of the quantity text field on the form (you'll need to put some validation on this so it is numeric and >0). Like dan_brisa says, it would be better if you could post/upload what you've got so far cos it's really difficult to go from what you've posted, so apologies if you've got this far already or if this is no use to you.
  13. Really nice vid there Craig! See you put the bail in from down at the Sluice. Liking the cows as well!
  14. Are you trying to draw around the bash using the circle tool? Another way would be to cut the bash out using the polygon lasso tool (zoom right in and just use the tool to draw round it).
  15. You can hold down the 'alt' key and click the left mouse button at the points where you want to cut rather than holding the left mouse button down all the time.
  16. Is this the frame? CRC - Alibongo If so, you could get it for £180 new! I'd stay away if I was you.
  17. Well I got another freehub and fitted that, but it didn't seem as smooth - I dunno if I did something wrong when fitting it. Anyway as the rim was a bit knackered as well, I just ended up buying a new wheel.
  18. Onza Hub - Trials Forum Right, I don't know whether the hub on the T-Rex is the same as the one that was on my old T-Raptor. Anyway, there's some info in the post above about removing and refitting an Onza freehub onto the hub. May be of some use, although I'm not 100% sure.

  23. Nice pics using the self timer! Especially the second one. Does your camera have a function that'll take 2 pics in succession? I sometimes use that with the timer so I'll get 2 consecutive shots when the timer goes off. Maybe cheating a bit though.
