  1. I'm currently half an hours ride from home and stuck in one of England's finest rain showers, bunkered up under a local swimming pool.. Scared my brakes aren't gonna be much use! Anyone else having fun riding in the rain?
  2. I'm from knaresborough, could do with hanging around some experienced riders.. Drop me a text, 07568360169 Just realised this was yesterday, my bad!
  3. Thanks for all the advice guys, I'll give everything a go when I get back from work! And I tried tucking my trousers into my socks, jeans still got caught so I gave up and put shorts on;) A sight for sore eyes! Again, thanks!
  4. I'll try it tomorrow, bit late to go tinkering:P I'll let you know if it works tomorrow UK_SPAWN Thanks for all the advice and quick replies guys!
  5. Firstly thanks for the rapid response isitafox:) It really is a standard 219 kamel, and I don't know the specs off by heart in all honesty it was an impulse buy;) And I have no mechanical knowledge of this kind, i just poke around chainsaw engines and that's about it.. But all the bolts are as tight as they'll get by hand, and I don't want to turn the bolts any further by tapping the Allen key with a mallet, any other solutions? I spoke to Martin Rathmell about getting a bash ring and he seemed very single minded that they're not right for Monty's (I assume he knows his sh*t as he imports them) but to be honest I like the idea of a bashring over shorts because my legs are ugly as;) any ideas as I which chainring would fit on the bike? I like the look of trial tech ones but I have no clue if it'll fit:( Where can i get it trued? I can't picture kwikfit doing trials rims.. I assumed the brakes would be bled as they should be from the box? Or is that not the case? I've heard many people prefer water bled because its more responsive and higher pressure, is it much of a difference from the standard magura oil? Again, thanks for the rapid response! Yours truly, Sam
  6. So as some of you know I'm pretty new to trials and only took my bike out for the first time on Monday.. I own a Monty Kamel 219, bought it and built it straight from the box, so everything is standard. The first problem I found is that the fork and stem all wobble, only slightly (2-3 mil) everything is tight yet it still wobbles? Secondly is my damned jeans keep getting stuck in the chain and freewheel. I wear pretty tight fitting jeans that aren't baggy around the bottom(by bottom I mean around my ankles, not my backside), is there any way to move the cranks further away from the freewheel without weakening anything? Finally is the hs33's, again as standard, not water bled. The only change I've made to these is moved the front right pad away from the rim wall because it was rubbing out of the box. But since i first rode the bike the brakes seem to have become sloppy and less responsive. Don't get me wrong, they still do the intended job well but it feels like they could have a higher performance. I also do not want to hack away with an angle grinder. As always, thanks for all your help guys, Sam
