  1. That's sounds like the complete opposite of pleasant Just woke up feeling rough as hell and I've got work at twelve, why do we do this to ourselves?!
  2. Saturday night.. I can't be the only one that's "under the influence"
  3. And that's exactly how mine look with auto correct on when I'm hammered :')
  4. And auto correct is the devil, the amount of texts I've sent while drunk and tried to decipher what I was trying so say the next morning is unholy
  5. I'm not going out for a good few weekends, till the pubs/clubs pick back up a bit Plus I'm skint;)
  6. That was the idea but I guess not that many people check here or are literate enough to post while sozzled
  7. I'll get the sack if I turn up to work drunk haha Just necking milk
  8. I'm still in bed rolling around knowing I've got to get up for work soon and it's gonna be with a crippling headache:(
  9. The drinking side of was up there, but there was no socialising whatsoever.. Too quiet for my liking
  10. I was sat by myself and there were five others in I only went out because I've got the twilight shift today, so a 1pm start isn't too bad! And I woke up surrounded by John smiths cans and empty test tube shots aha
  11. As I generally only check here in the pub when it's quiet/dead I was just wondering How's everyone's night out on the lash? I have no idea if there's a thread like this.. Currently sat in the pub by myself with about five others.. Hope everyone else's night has been better
  12. I've got the airtime's, they are seriously comfy, albeit slightly small for size. I got large and they feel tiny on my hand, my hands aren't huge. They can also be a bit of a faff to get on because the Velcro seems rather weak. You very quickly get used to wearing them and forget you are. They are thin enough not to make your hands all sweaty and clammy but thick enough to keep the chill off. Plus they're just about all black bar the jitsie logo which is printed on in like a raised rubber. Overall, very highly recommended pair of gloves!
  13. This thread has certainly kept me entertained for forty five minutes, keep the stories coming guys!
  14. Roses are red, Violets are twisted. Bend over love, You're about to get fisted.
  15. Not sure it's so much as a chat up line, just offensive; - How much does a polar bear weigh? - Enough to break the ice? - Nope, not as much as you!

    Tv series?

I'm more excited about season two of arrow! The two hour preview on Monday night was immense, any one else see it?
  17. I only ever bought tobacco off it, it was incredibly cheap and just read up on some bits, it's very very hard to navigate around the deep web
  18. I just wrote an essay of a rant but my phone died and I lost it-_- So I'm gonna condense it into a sentence.. The deep web is an amazing and disgraceful place at the same time, very education and disgusting at the same time. In ways I'm glad it's gone, others I'm not. One great upside to the deep web was the ability to contact people anonymously, such as North Koreans being able to share their inside views on what is happening in their country. Rant over, thanks for listening
  19. I've had my bike about four months now but only been riding about eight times. (lack of time for riding due to the hours i work) I can do a few VERY basic trials moves but nothing exceptional, I'm trying not to rush too much as i dont want to develop bad techniques, but the ones i have learnt have been relatively easy to pick up but taken a lot of practise and are still a long way off decent. My confidence was knocked a bit as the first day i got the bike i didnt realise how responsive the brakes were and took a nice chunk out of my shin. It hasnt really stopped me doing anything, i just dont push it as hard as i could because i dont want more chunks missing out of my shin Having never run discs properly, i couldnt advise on that aspect of brakes, but i can tell you if i ever buy another bike I'll be buying an adaptor to run them. With a good bleed the stopping is immence, almost unbelievable after riding stock brakes on mtb's for a few years. Another aspect of the brakes is do you grind the rim? I personally say no as i think the stopping power on a smooth rim is good enough and grinds look horrible, but some people would sacrifice looks for stopping power (I think bikes have to look nice when you're riding) And on the price, there is a whole topic about this, its entirely up to you and how much you want to spend. I spent a little more than i would have liked but i dont regret it. It depends if you know you're going to stick with the sport, if so, why would you waste money buying a cheap bike and having to upgrade very soon after buying a cheaper bike. Going back to the other topic, the more you spend generally the better quality the item and why would you learn to drive a nissan micra if you can afford a ferrari? Buying new is also up to you, as you said, you get warranty etc. but after looking around on this forum for a while it seems you can get a hell of a lot more bike for the same cost. With the wheelbase, you need to know the bikes geometery. Nearly all vary from eachother. The wheelbase (WB as it's often referred to on here) is just the length between the two wheels. The longer the WB, I think the more comfortable you will be riding being relatively tall. I think the best piece of advice would be to do what Isitafox said, go find a few riders and ask them to have a quick ride on their bikes, nothing would be worse than buying a new bike because it sounds right then hating it. I'm sure if you contacted a few people on here they'd be more than happy to let you tag along for a day. Glad we can all be of help, hope to hear of you riding soon
  20. I'm still pretty new to trials too, I bought a mod without knowing anyone who rides biketrials, and i can honestly say, I've never felt so welcome anywhere as i do in this forum. You'll be taken care of A mod is a bike with a 20" front wheel and a 19" rear (cheaper begginer models have 20" rear wheels) You're right, getting on to a trials bike feels incredibly strange at first, now i cant get back on any other bike without it feeling funny. In my eyes you dont need to go spending £1500 on a first bike, i found a few hundred on a brand new bike seemed to be better than spending a few hundred on a second hand one as i knew everything was fine and nothing needed changing straight away. Hope we all can help EDIT: forgot to mention, I'm 6'1, and i feel perfectly comfy on a long wheelbased mod
