From what Yao Zhi told me they got square cranks and acs freewheel on the front. Stock ZHI Z2 (which cost the same price) got quando freehub.

Well, I've been recently thinking about building second bike after weighing new Pure frames, I thought that it could be well good base for light bike. I've used only parts that I've got in offer, I think that you could easily loose more weight. Weight after all probably will come up closer to 9,5kg, but that still really good result. I've also fancied a changed and built myself Czar 26" short... imo those frames look silly with rims in other colors than black or white, that's why I'm changing mine in few days! Do you also find this frame f**king amazing? I feel used to it after riding it for 2 hours

Well... this was first 26" Zhi frame, so it's really old. Few guys in Poland got one. Can't remember exactly but about 3 frames had cracked;) (for so small quantity it's quite a lot)

Kot is from Latvia;) Some of koxx frames are made in Taiwan. Most is manufactured in china (ghuangzhou (sp?) region to be exact). Monty is deffo made in China

Lighter often means weakier, so I'd expect pure to crack faster than a1. It got better geo imo, A1 (long) should be more stable on back wheel though. Pure is made from weakier material (that's why it has 6 months warranty, not 1 year as rest of U6 deng's frames). BUT... Geometry is only personal preference raised by trends which gonna change anyway. Just take what you fancy more. Noone will actually help you.

actually it is bionic (although it's i guess written through paint). Bionic is cheaper version of ZHI (you can also see disc dropout from z2 disc ver) They were basicly copies and leftovers from factories...
