Sorry to hijack but when I looked up the HC3 lever it says it's not compatible with the 2,4 and 5 is that because of the BAT?
Yes. You'll need the HC1.

@niconj ...
I ran the MT5 already on my 4play and once the rotor isn't 100% true it rubs, which is annoying. The perform equally good as the Saints though, or better but I wouldn't notice the difference...
On the Console I'm pretty sure that if I have to tension the chain, the disc will rub a lot as the wheel won't be in the exact same position. Now it does't rub but I can barely see any gap between the pads and the rotor.

Has to be the Stealth S1.

That leaves the cheapest and quickest option which is the Terrex. Lots of people have recommended these. Going to pop down to a shop and take a look.
Cheapest? The Terrex are pretty narrow compared to the Five Tens but offer the same sole so they are pretty decent. You may have a look at Shimano SH-AM7. The same guy who's FGs fell apart recommended these. He's running caged pedals if that's of importance (and a way better rider than I am).

recommend Five Tens, the Danny Mac models are actually the nicest I've used for trials, not too stiff, not too flexible and amazing grip (plus they look like normal shoes too)
and wear down in half a year or less. They are good shoes though when it comes to performance.
@Greetings Just don't get the orange ones. They are very expensive and fall apart in a couple of rides. I've seen it happen to a friend of mine.

Just took another hour to get this brake rub free. I'm sure it won't stay this way but as long as it's not too bad, I'll leave it like this. I put some Trickstuff NG pads in there and mounted the HC1 lever. As the MT4 labeled wasn't available, I just took the MT5 one. I'll also be running 180mm rotors for now. If the brake isn't powerful enough, I'll get some Jitsie pads.
Out to bedding in the brake...

Very nice, Craig! Looks a lot cleaner than mine I think. (Newer parts maybe?)
I've made some changes to mine. Put the Marino forks on, much steeper stem and plan on swapping out the saddle for something more along the lines of yours.
Oh, and this deserves its own topic!
Yours is equally clean looking just that it's more to the street trials end of the spectrum of these frames.

thats interesting. I know its got to be a snug fit to stop it coming out but mine seems so tight, ha ha. I might have another go and then maybe file the edges abit.
I couldn't fit it even with force, so I had to file it down. Unfortunately, I'm already accustomed to certain modifications to make trials specific parts fit.

hi all, has anyone put together the seat and post? Is there a knack to it, mine seems to need the hand of god to put it together, ha ha.
I had to file down the sides of my seatpost a bit to make it fit together. And I thought that this was due to having the inspired post and an odyssey saddle. The odyssey post I got for the new frame fit without modification.

They do have more clearance.
But not as much as the Shimano Saints. It's a pain in the ass to get them rub-free.

I didn't like it. It was too short.

Another great step towards never letting go of my rear brake ever again. Brakeless is shit.

is it necessary?
Probably not but it makes certain things easier. You could always get the Bonz street bars. They have almost the same geo.

Presumably you mean not having the arcade bars? Front end is high enough for me at the moment if so, just adjusting to new geo, feels really nice.
Yes. Sorry, should've mentioned it. Putting the Arcade bars on my bike was some sort of revelation.

I'd say 5 over 7 and the 4 is working really well as a front for me.
I just bought an MT4 with the HC1 blade. I'll try it on the rear and if it's enough, I'll get one for the front as well. The reason for getting this is that the Saints 810 I have on the front are too much. Since the MT4 comes with a lot of cable, I'll try it on the rear first. If it doesn't offer the power I need, I'll just pop the MT5 on there. I just hope that @ben_travis is right in saying that the MT6 (MT4) has a bit more pad clearance. I can't stand rubbing brakes.

I noticed no difference between the two.

It isn't that obvious...

My video for this particular decade is due soon. I'm gonna do my best to actually film this year. I'm not really into small clips and raw footage so I'm gonna guess about September.
That's too bad. I guess I'll have to wait till September then.

Slowly getting there. I'll have to do it quicker and tuck my legs more.

Then I'd get some crank washers with them as well. My Shimano SLX 665 didn't fit right away. I actually like the look of the rims, then again, I had been running spank stiffies in green for some time on my mintgreen 4play.
