  1. I think I might be free next weekend on Saturday, but I'll have to ask my parents. Where would you want to meet up if we did then and at what time? P.S. I going to try and learn on my MTB for now.
  2. That would be awesome, Thanks! Just so you know though I am learning on my MTB at the moment but its chain has decided to snap and the rear brake has decided to pack up, and if that wasn't enough ... it needs new tyres and forks! It has quite a few problems considering it is worth around £750 - £800! Yes, well I would love to meet up and learn some trials, your the second person to actually be in Malvern, I thought it was only me and Stevie D, maybe we could all meet up sometime, I literally just ride around the Wyche Primary School but when I actually can get enough confidence I'll go into town!
  3. I'm one of the few who haven't got a Facebook account I might get one soon though
  4. Stevie D ... I was talking to one of my mates and I think he knows you and you know him! His name is Louis Brooks and he goes to Malvern Cycle Sport and his dads name is Andy
  5. I just wanted to ask what are peoples favourite brakes cause I just want to see what I should put on my bike?
  6. Thanks Guys for replying but i'm trying to look for a very cheap bike to maybe get for Christmas. It sounds very small but my uncles friend from Thinkbikes says that you should try to learn on a cheaper bike costing around £200 as a beginner so as to not destroy something you spent ages saving up for. Apparently you can totally destroy a bike very quickly so you need to have enough money for spares. Thanks anyway, but i'll have to wait a little while before I can spend that much money Just so you know, I'm 6ft tall and weigh about 11.5 stone
  7. Yeah! That would be great but I am afraid that I am unavailable this Sunday (27th Oct) coming cause of my nan and my bikes chain has snapped but as soon as I am available I will send you a message in your inbox! Hope to hear from you soon and happy riding!
  8. Do any of you guys know if you can put a Trials sprocket (Splined or Screw on) on a American Bottom bracket and if so, how?
  9. Hi, my names Tom and I was just wondering if anyone could recommend a good first trials bike (cheap)? I was planning to convert my old BMX but I think that it could cost more than buying an actual trials bike so if anyone sees a good cheap one for sale, please tell me! My uncles friend runs the Thinkbikes Tutorials on Youtube so I have got a checklist! P.S. It has to be within 60 miles of Malvern.
  10. How could you put a trials sprocket on a BMX cause most of them are screw on? You would need to get new cranks as well wouldn't you?
  11. I am just starting out so you wont anything from me but I would love to someone learn with or learn from! Because I am only just starting out I only ride around near my house which is literally right next to the Wyche Institute by The Wyche Primary School but hopefully when I get good enough I'll go into town or Worcester. Stevie D ... Where about do you ride cause we could meet up sometime?
  12. Yeah, there is plenty of natural and street to ride but you have to be careful where you go because it is a SSSI (Site of Special Scientific Interest) in some places. I've never had the skill to ride any of it though, I instead usually just go on the hills doing XC and the odd jump! That's why I'm gonna learn trials, but yeah, there is tons of natural obstacles to ride on: I've never tried riding them but there are a few deserted quarries where you can ride old pieces of cast concrete and fallen boulders and a few cool obstacles in town.
  13. I'm down in Malvern and new to trials but I'd love to meet up with some new people to learn all I can as I'm by no means good! P.S. I only have a normal MTB
  14. I would have to talk to my parents but would you maybe like to meet up sometime then for a spot of trials?
  15. I was just wondering, could you convert a BMX into a trials bike for a more 'street' style of riding and if so would it could more than it would be worth?
  16. Do you ride in Birmingham a lot? if you do could you maybe teach me a little on my MTB as I'm a little lost ?
  17. Hi, my names Tom and I am new to bike Trials, to begin with I am learning it on my MTB but I was just wondering if anyone rides near Malvern or in Worcester cause I have tried to get into it several times and just ended up stopping trying, anyone near to teach me some would be a great help Thanks.
  18. I've tried it a couple of times even though I am new to Trials on my MTB and I still can't do anything remotely hard! Just to ask do you think it is normal to ride with your left foot forward but to use your right foot for pedal kicks and 'power moves' ?
