I have no air vents and you can't have your window open , nor would I want to on track.
if your windows are fixed, have you thought about a sliding vent in the window? something like this:
Personally i think it'd look more in place than a roof scoop

Has anyone had any experience changing the cambelt on a lupo sdi? Mine is due and the garage want £400 to change it which simply isn't worth it. There are a few guides online but I don't have the tools or the time to do it. Would anyone be able to do it for me for some dollar obviously?
I've done quite a few cambelts, and you dont need any special tools 90% of the time.
Turn the engine over to tdc, lock all the pulley's in place, old belt off, new belt on, tension, remove all locking pins, turn it over a few times and check everything still lines up, then job done.
You dont even need the correct locking pins to be honest. they're usually 4/5/6mm, so as long as you find something which fits tight in the hole (wheyyy! ) drill bits, allen keys, ect all work a treat.

Post it mate. Be interesting to see what you said.
Wasnt there something a while back you was going to lash up, and had half the forum telling you to do it properly? Maybe he means that....

What's the difference? I've got no idea about all these sensor thingys
They're Lamba sensors in the exhaust.
Narrowband will tell you if the mixture is correct, rich or lean.
Wideband will give you an actual air/fuel mixture number

@Adam@TartyBikes Do i remember you saying its because braided hoses use a smallier I.D, so theres more resistance?

Prevent it from cracking, they always go there

Also regarding rust and MOTs. I want to make sure it is safe before I go on the road, so i'll attack anything structural of course. There are several body panels that are either VERY rusty or have jaggered edges but are not detrimental to the safety of the truck. If I get desperate to get it on the road before these are done, can they simply be covered with gaffa tape like the PO did? That way I don't need to rush sorting those areas unnecessarily.
Rust within a certain distance (think its generally 6 inches) of structal point need to be welded , ifs things like wheel arches, then you can tape them (no sharp edges for people to cut their hands on)

Doesn't give massive amount of information, but does give you a break down of what the serial number means

Did some work on the shitcelica today.
first job was to drill out the snapped arb mount bolt. Center punched it, then went through larger and larger drill bits. I center punched it slightly off, so when the drill hole got close to the threads, i tried to collapse the remains of the bolt.
The first decent hit with a hammer tore all the tack welds off the nut. I ended up cutting the end of the mount off, which is big enough to get a 13mm nut in there.
I decided to press the rear lower arm front bushes in. MK4 front caliper carriers were perfect shape as spacers!
Things were going well, so i decided to look at why it's always been difficult to fill up the fuel tank. It felt like there was a blockage in the filler neck, so i took the rubber joining hose off from between the tank and the filler neck.
That explains a lot! it looks like there was a plastic hose reducer/expander in the fuel line. (f**k knows how it got there!) Behind it is a plastic valve, which as far as i can tell it seems to work as an anti-siphon device and fuel baffle.
Dropping off all the suspension bushes to @Alex Dark to get them machined down to work correctly, and picking up the new sub frame Friday.
Finally some decent progress

Watched it earlier. It's just Top Gear in a tent.
It's worth watching, but I was expecting it to be a little different...
Neutral opinion here..
I pretty much thought the same. (Well actually i thought it was Top Gear with more money, but meh).
Worth watching, but would have been nice if they changed it a bit

Complained to the company i got the suspension bushes off, they sent me ones that are the 'correct size'.
Tried to fit them yesterday.
The sleeves on the lower hub bushes are too short:
The inner sleeves are too large to fit the upper arm correctly:
by this point i threw a massive shitty and went home.
And its good to see my cars useful for something, even if it is for the cat to park it's arse on!

Car choice question (for high mileage)
There is a possibility I might be taking a new job which would entail 102 miles of driving a day (motorways). I would be looking to keep costs down as much as possible but would also want something comfortable and not lacking too much in power. I think cruise control would be very useful and I would prefer 4 doors. Current thoughts are a VAG 1.9TDI of some description?
mk4 range are piss easy to install cruise control. £40 for the stalk, a bit of wiring and enabling it on vag-com.

It's all going to have to be removed anyway so I guess it's 6 of one half a dozen of the other.
Any excuse for not being able to string a sentence together

Update 1064 on my rusty piece of shit celica:
Brought new rear arb links (i cut the old ones off as the 4mm allen bit just rounded off) and front bushes for the rear lower arm, so i can re-use the outer sleeve for the poly bushes:
The company i brought the poly bushes have finally replied to my email saying:
Hello,
We're going to send you new bushes with correct inner diameter. Please send back old one to us when you receive new ones.It may be slow, but its progress!

I've had the very sad realization today that i'm probably going to give up trials riding. i dislocated my left shoulder April 2016 from f**king up a large gap. and i've dislocated my shoulder 3 times since then. i had shoulder stabilization surgery 2 weeks ago and am healing well. before i f**ked it up, i was weight lifting every day, eating healthy, exercising regularly and getting confident with my body.
