  1. Advantage is that Zhi frames are always cheaper and lighter than the competitors frames. Would like to see some geo/weights of the frames though Also, Hydroxx?

    Rear Tube

On my mod I run a standard Kenda tube (130g) and a Creepy Crawler. Usually have about 15-20PSI in there, and I'm pretty light (60-65kg) But I also backup what Anzo says, I have 2 spare Kenda tubes with me usually, £2.50 each from my LBS, and if I get a flat, just whack it out and replace it, beats fiddling around with a puncture repair kit for ages, I do that when I get home and have nothing to do.
  3. http://www.yell.com/ucs/UcsSearchAction.do...el+Fabrications Give them a ring. Also, this is trials forum, how the hell are we supposed to know who your local metal fabricators are, and how much they charge. There isn't like a one-stop shop for welding like Halfords, and we don't have price lists for every fabricator in the entire world. Try doing some f**king research before posting on here. I just went to Yell.com, it's not exactly hard!

    Zhi Forks?

Surely the reach is the most important part of the bike, not the WB?

  10. I wasn't being nasty I was taking into account this, But yeah, as Luke said you should be able to pick up a used Pro 2 for cheap enough in the For Sale section

    Iow Or I.o.w?

    Should be I.O.W. in theory.
  13. That's right, our very own Dr. Nick is turning 14 19 today! Lets all wish him happy birthday! Lots of love, JM
  14. In reality, why shouldn't you smooth off welds? The ripples along the top are just excess material, as long as you keep the main parts intact, it wont have any structural effect.
  15. I still don't understand how you could have read that to be bad mouthing Plaz pads :/ I've read it numerous times and all I can see is that Adam was saying any pads with tar makes a good brake, he mentioned nothing about Plazzies being an inferior product.

    Web Part?

By "I only know websites" I meant I only know XHTML, CSS, and bits of PHP. I know nothing of ASP.
  17. I'm pretty sure Adam wasn't taking a cheap shot at Plazzie pads, seems to me like that's how you read it.

    Web Part?

No idea, never used visual basic. Sorry dude, I only know websites.

    Web Part?

I don't quite understand what you mean by "web part". Do you mean website? If so I could probably give you some tips with that, if not then I've no idea what you want.
  20. It's nice to see that. I think a lot of people hate the competitive dad side, son rides trials because dad wants him to, and i think thats pretty awful for the sport. At the end of the day, we're all just people riding around on funny looking bikes with gearing that gets you nowhere and in most cases, no seat. The problem is, as Partz said, people think of comps, and they think that it's super serious, and everyone is out to win, in some cases this is true, but it's gonna happen in every sport. I wanna get to some comps, I wanna fall off in the mud, I want people to laugh at me, I want to laugh at other people in a friendly way, I just wanna have fun! But the distance is the problem, and it sucks
  21. Get a set of vernier calipers and measure it?
  22. Were they tapped to M6?
  23. http://trials-uk.co.uk/product.aspx?productid=839 That's the tensioner. Are you tensioning it up or down?
  24. Why can't people just helicoil themselves? You just drill a hole, tap it using the tap in the helicoil kit, then screw the insert in and snap the tang off. It's not exactly hard, and it's certainly a lot easier than tapping mounts to M6 then having to use different bolts, drill out maggie adaptors, etc. Plus a helicoil kit costs about £20 and has usually has about 10 inserts in, and if you go to a garage you'll spend £15 getting all 4 done. I learnt how to tap doing metalwork in school, has that part of school education been removed these days?
