  1. Yeah, it's exactly the same mechanism, just a different size freehub body I think (Y)

    Ipod Nano

I'm pretty sure you've been able to replace the batteries on iPods sinces the 2nd generation or something. So saying that the batteries are shit is going back 4 years or something since they first came out. I tohught Apple had pretty awsome customer support. Mod661 on here got his nano replaced because he dented it; how many other companies would do that? I'm not saying that iPods are perfect or that Apple t3h sh!t or anything, I am saying that you're wrong in what you're saying. Not quite sure why you have this hatred of Apple, but it's pretty stupid. If they are "imcompetant" (sic) how comes they are making a boatload of cash? If you don't want to buy an iPod, then don't. But don't spout crap.

Don't say things you can't back up with facts. I reckon iPods are about the nicest MP3 players out there. Sure you pay a premium, but it's like anything - Pay more for quality. Creative MP3 players just aren't as good as iPods.
  4. Like SMO said, but you need Winrar to unzip all the files. It's free from http://www.rarlabs.com so download that and then just double click any of the files and it will unzip them all to a .iso or something. And then once you've got that, do what Smo said and mount the files using Alcohol, or Nero Imagemount if you have that.
  5. I sometimes rim out on big-ish drops. It's just a mixture of low pressure and not being very smooth. I've got a 2.7" tyre so I can't blame that either (Y)
  6. You know that's not real, right?
  7. In the last 2 years I don't think I've touched the insides of my King. In fact I would say that I had to fiddle with my Hope XC more when I had it. Maybe I'm lucky, but I don't think CK's require as much TLC as people would have you believe :P

    Firefox

Just search for it on the torrent networks and you'll find it. Anyway, there are plenty of websites with pics of what it is like.
  9. You obviously haven't had a piercing or know anything about them. Even when I tried to squirt water from mine I couldn't. It's hardly like it leaks... Anyway, I think it looks cool :P

I can't see any disadvantages to be honest. Tabbed browsing, extensions, lots of themes, more secure etc. It's just good. IE is just uncustomisable, unsecure and uninteresting.
  11. There isn't one really. It's basically just the same as Konfabulator for the PC. Just a few semi-useful tools that you can have to hand at all times - Reminder stickies, calendar, calculator etc. And then a few random bits that are useless like weather, word of the day, world clock. Actually there are loads to choose from but I never use them really. Aside from that it's just there to look pretty, it's so sexy the way it zooms in and out (Y)
  12. It all sounds like shite to me. I bet the scratches aren't that bad at all. It's just a bunch of fags that like their iPods to be all shiny. The nano doesn't use any different plastic to the normal iPod anyway. In that link Tom put up, they have some huge scratches in the screen and it's fine. Stupid Americans.
  13. Trials videos need good moves/nice lines. Not stupid camera angles, shots of sky/sunset and hi-res. I look forwards to your experiments though (Y)
  14. I wouldn't worry either way to be honest. Seeing as you will probably upgrade the whole computer (not just the CPU) next time around, it won't make a bit of difference whether 754 is better than 939. I would probably get a 939 system to be honest, because you pay extra for 754 (Athlon*) CPUs because they are not being made any more I think. But if you get a good deal on a 754 system, go for that. Not much in it. *They are still making Semprons in s754 flavours.
  15. Yeah, 1Gb max. Check on Crucial UK and it'll tell you what you can and can't use. If you buy from there, they will guarantee that it is compatible. Damn nice, but I could never buy a screen that costs more than the PC itself. Link? Tiger is ace, but I've never used Panther so I couldn't compare. The two differences that I know of are the dashboard (pretty but pretty useless), and Spotlight which is absolutely awsome. Totally puts Windows to shame for finding files, it's soooo quick.
  16. Apparently not. Apparently 939 is going to be phased out fairly soon for another platform, whereas 754 will remain the "budget" option for some time to come. But you can still get 3700+ on 754 I think, that's hardly slow.
  17. No. And certainly not for £500.
  18. The new ones do more things per clock cycle. It's like two riders riding at the same speed. The guy on the mod has 20" wheels that rotate at a higher rpm than a 26" one, but both riders are going as fast as each other. So these new computers have bigger wheels so the hub doesn't get as hot. And heat is the enemy of the laptop.
  19. Might be selling mine. It's an Athlon 64 3200+, 1Gb Ram, 9800Pro. Probably sell without a hard drive which I want to keep. But I'd probably want a bit more than £250.
  20. Haha. VLC is good(Or MPlayer for mac is also good), and it will play everything apart from WMV. For that you need Windows Media Player:Mac, which is just annoying really. People should just make videos in something better than wmv, but what can you do? Just try the download again or perhaps try and download it from another site. PS You do know that installing things on a Mac ain't the same as on the PC? Double click the .dmg file, and then drag the Windows Media Player icon into your applications folder. Simple as that (Y)
  21. I think the biggest you can get is an extra 1Gb, giving you 1.5Gb in total. Are you getting the Cinema 20"? Mmmm, pricey :) I have screen spanning on my iBook, it's nice but nothing important really. Nice to hook it up to a bigger screen for DVDs though (Y)
  22. I drove down a bus lane to take a short cut. It was the middle of the night and there was no-one around but I still got caught ;) Only a £30 fine though. And most people on here will have taken/smoked/eaten something they shouldn't have...
  23. You don't need a HD video for trials though. I know it's nice and everything, but you can tell what's going on just fine on a Standard MiniDV video, compressed to Mpeg. When everyone has 10meg lines and you can stream HD, then perhaps it's worth it. Or if you're gonna make DVDs or somesuch other stuff. But I don't really see the point.

    Help: Bluetooth

You should have followed the instructions the first time and only inserted it when it asked you to. Now you're gonna have to remove everything bluetooth from device manager I think and try again. But like Danny said there are problems with Windows SP2.
