  1. Young fry of treachery You egg They are also good ones (N)
  2. I doubt it, Apple are new best friends with Motorola who have brought out a new iTunes-enabled phone. It's not really any more expensive than the iPod photo though? I think the thing is that i's an update to the iPod, NOT a video-specific iTheatre or something. It still plays music the same as it did before, but now it's a bit thinner and you can get it in black. I don't see why everyone is moaning to be honest. I can't really see the point in watching videos on the little screen, but I also can't see the point in the old iPod being able to hold photos.
  3. Nobber is a personal favourite, or knobhead, knobjockey etc. Or Minger but prounounced Minge-er, it's not very nice (Y)
  4. As you can put video on it, you could easily fill 60Gb. Plus some people use them for files and backup and stuff too, it's pretty easy to see how you could fill it up.
  5. You get two free Pixies videos with iTunes 6. So I guess that's good. But will you have to encode your files into some small 160x160 (?) format? That would take ages. You gotta love the black ones though. What's next?
  6. Yeah, basically. I guess you could uninstall the old one first but I wouldn't worry about that too much.
  7. He'd have to be pretty damn stupid to do that. Given that he runs TRIALS shop, alienating the people of TRIALS forum isn't a very clever idea.

  9. Oooh, that looks really nice (Y) Clive doesn't believe in cable mounts, apparently they weaken the tube. Although I have never ever seen a tube crack at a cable mount...
  10. If you are only going to use them for riding, it may actually work out cheaper to get the daily ones. I think you can get 10 pairs for about the same price as monthly ones (£15 ish a month), so if you only wear the contacts 10 days in a month, it's better. Plus they're a lot less hassle if you lose them (E.g. accidentally going swimming with them in). I think I actually prefer wearing glasses for normal use (I think my eyes dry up pretty easily), so I only really use contacts when I'm doing sport or fancy a change.

    That was awsome (Y)
  12. Yeah, that happens to me when I'm riding with glasses on. It's very annoying and there's not much you can do. So I just try and remember to put my contacts in before I go out. I don't have any trouble with the contacts. It's basically either that or get some glasses that fit a bit tighter and don't slip down.
  13. I agree but I don't think you can tell what a course is going to be like before you go, the only thing you know is where they are in the league tables. All those unis are good in the league tables etc so they'll look good on your CV. You'll have a good time wherever you go (Make sure it's far enough away from home (Y) ), so don't worry too much. Just go where you think looks nice. You'll probably enjoy Manchester, but I'm not gonna say that it's any better than anywhere else because I don't know :P
  14. I'm pretty sure it's up to you. They will want to sort it out for you as they will usually be able to source parts cheaper than RRP. But maybe not for trials stuff. Anyway, I think you are allowed to demand the money for whatever reason - Eg if they're not being quick enough.
  15. When were you thinking of going? £600-800 is way too much though - I'm pretty sure the most I've paid is £500 all in. But then again we never went to any fancy hotels or anything - Youth Hostels all the way!

You could spend £30-40 more and get a second hand Pure or Levelboss, which would be a much safer idea. You don't hear of many of them breaking. Plus they are probably better frames geometry-wise anyway.
  17. What Steve said, although mine has a groove in the roller. Not sure that a groove in the roller is a good thing - If it gets slightly bent, the chain tries to roll out of the groove and obviously that makes the chain tighter, so the chain ends up being too tight. If I was making one, I would not have a groove in the roller, so even if the tensioner is knocked and bent slightly it will still work fine. Anyway, the Leeson KISSS basically works like the Rennen/Fresh ones in that there is no spring, but because of the Leeson mech hanger situation (see pic) it obviously bolts on in a different way. As there is no spring, the key is in making it sturdy enough that you can tighten it hard and that it stays tight. Also, get a roller with a bit of "give" in it and it will take up the bumps etc. It seems to work well, anyway. It's the best tensioner I've used, but it's not perfect - it still needs tightening every now and again, and when you knock it, it loses all tension, so you need to take an 8mm spanner out on rides. No big deal but it's an extra something to remember. Unfortunately you can't get one unless you've got a Leeson (Y)
  18. Have you really got nothing better to do than to hammer (literally) hubs for our enjoyment/respect? That's just stupid.

  20. Nah that won't work, hardly any companies keep records of stuff they've sold (or, if they do, they never seem to want to give them out). As you say, the best bet is to get a quote from a shop as you were asked (Y) Maybe ask Tarty if he'll do it for you, provided that you buy the new bike from him or something.
  21. It's like "defo", I hate that word.
